Fuck really?! Man that's a damn shame. PS4 you played me like a damn fiddle!

I wish sony had a better option for songs to play over games just as easy as it was for ps3 without applications. Just built in to the xmb

Yeah. It's pretty awesome to ride into a location with Immigrant Song blaring on the speakers.

The lack of music support on the PS4 has also kinda crippled MLB: The Show. It's been missing Sounds of the Show ever since the console's debut.

im guessing if you choose Speakers on your tape play options and take out your headphones you can distract soldiers with your 80's tunes?

When can you start upgrading the base? I've only done 3 main missions but a bunch of side missions. My base is getting crowded but I can't seem to expand it.

Question: Development Related -
I remember seeing an option to have Snake wear the bandana, making him look more like Naked Snake/Solid Snake. When does that become available? I thought the Solid Snake outfit from GZ would do it, but it makes me look like PS1 Snake.
You gotta do a LOT of stuff for it, takes many hours

Scroll back a few pages someone tells you how

No. Absolutely not.

I play Metal Gear for the story, the twists, the bosses, the characters, the backgrounds, exposition and details. I play it first and foremost for the cutscenes, and then gameplay. Metal Gear Solid 2 did it best, while Snake Eater had a great balance and pace.

After spending some 50 or so hours with the game, I can tell you that there are plenty of cutscenes and tapes waiting for you.

Personally, I think that The Phantom Pain is Kojima's best story since Snatcher.

Wow this game is so good. It took a little getting used to the way stealth works again after playing so many straight forward games between Ground Zeroes and this, but it's really rewarding learning how to rapidly take down a few guards, running interference, etc.

One question:
was that Solid Snake in the beginning, the man sent to defend you?

So if I am developing a new part of Mother Base, and it says it takes 60 minutes, is it only counting down while I'm in the game, or will it be ready if I quit and start up the game next time?

Music to my ears. Snatcher is a masterpiece.
I'm excited for more story.

No. That is
Big Boss himself if I understood it correctly.

Did mission 10 in 5 minutes. s rank.

Hilarious you can just
run up to the truck the hostage is about to be transported on, distract the guards for a brief sec, jack the truck and drive away. Sure I only did 1/5 objectives but super cool the game lets you basically skip the mission

How do you know what they are if you can't see them?

They unlock after you complete it the first time, I guess since some of them involve fultoning people out, but there are 2 that could have been done then and there. It's a little annoying and I'd love to know if you can do these without having to rescue Kaz again

Maybe that's my problem. I've only done one mission after the Kaz mission -- but lots of side ops. I don't even have intel yet! Just R&D and support.
After mission 7 the other team options (Intel and medical) are available to you - I remember PW being like this too.

What's your secret?

Do side ops. Fulton nearly everyone. Animals, Equipment, People. Will all give GMP.

Diamonds from interrogations will give GMP.

You will nearly be swimming in 500,000 GMP before even finishing the first chapter if you aren't researching everything and are doing the above while trying to find elements/resources to use for Mother Base upgrades.

I've only put about 5 hours in, but so far I'm not sure what to think of this. It's kind of...bland. Like, ocelot is nothing like his former self, and same with snake(plot twist?). This kaz guy, I have no idea who he is, but he kind of reminds me of liquid(I think that was the guy). Also, the desert is just so uninteresting of an environment. Here's hoping it actually picks up

Edit: Oh, and the codec system replaced with audio recordings? Or maybe I'm not to a point in the story where that is a thing

Ok, so you really need to complete missions multiple times?

I'm a bit confused. I completed the first mission
Phantom Limbs
without
Being discovered by the skulls
, with no retries, no kills, and no enemy combat alerts. Does using reflex disqualify you from "Perfect Stealth, No Kills?"

if you're prompted to use reflex, it's not a perfect.

You can use Spotify, or play music using the media player, no?

Took down Quiet with DD and sniper tranquilizer = fucking awesome. I LOVE playing with DD. It makes exploring so much easier.

The game is starting to click with me. The missions are very repetitive though. Its either collect this or rescue that. I do like how every mission can be done in multiple ways though. So many damn side missions. My OCD wants to complete everything before completing the story but theres so damn many.

As someone else said i hate mute boss. It just makes the Hayter change even more pointless.

I got so frustrated that I couldn't interact with this little cute puppy, that I shot a tranquilizer bullet in his eye so he felt asleep. To my surprise he woke up again a little while later, and I zoomed in showing my girlfriend he only have one eye. She blamed me, for the missing eye on D-Dog.

I'm actually a little concerned, that nobody have talked highly of any bosses in Phantom Pain, at the same level of The End, Sorrow, Psycho Mantis and the likes. Or maybe I have just missed the discussion, as I don't wanna know anything about the bosses.

Wait, how do you get Kojima? As in how do I get characters from Ground Zeroes? I've already uploaded it.
you need to successfully connect to the servers and then you can download it from the main menu. you'll unlock the special units after completing certain story missions

Interesting. That might explain it. I'm still lost on the story and just remember bits and pieces haha
at the end of peace walker it goes through the time line and the "stinger" one is "2005: Kazuhira Miller is found murdered in his apartment in Alaska by an unknown assailant." and it's probably safe to assume Liquid did it.
