Tom Brady beats NFL in 'Deflategate' court case, league's 4-game suspension nullified

Pats should just flat out start bugging the opposing team's locker room and headsets since they are clearly above the rules.

Scumbag, cheating-ass team. I hope the other teams put a hit out on Brady and snap him in half week one. Oh wait I forgot Brady is not allowed to be touched, against the NFL rules.

Steelers fan, Jets fan, or Colts fan?

Tom Brady had his ball boy deflate balls to get himself an advantage and Goodell should be the one to get fucked? LOL

Football stans are awesome.

I'm not a Patriots fan buddy. But there's no real evidence against Brady and Goodell's abuse of power here was blatant. Not that anyone should give a fuck about barely deflated balls anyway.

The whole case was garbage from the start. The NFL had no idea what they were doing and nobody ever cared about ball deflation. The fact that Goodell seriously thought acting as an arbitrator to Goodell's decision was a good idea shows you how damn stupid this guy is. And yet, even with Goodell acting as the arbitrator in his own appeal, he still put on a kangaroo court that didn't give Brady due process. It's amazing.

The NFL's disciplinary process is totally screwed up.

As much as I hate the Pats, anything that results in Goodell being shown as a complete joke I'm all for.

Looking forward to a Pats/Hawks rematch.

Now if the NFL would only stop suspending players for marijuana use, that would be great.

I really would like to know how the balls got deflated in the first place then, Stan. Can you simply answer that?
.

You do know that these deflated footballs were proven to not be statistically significant in comparison to the control balls which were at the "correct" minimum PSI, right? Like, the deflation offered ZERO advantage. Regardless of how they were deflated, they contributed absolutely nothing to the outcome of the game(s).

Pls respond.

This is really a win-win, we can still talk about what a clown Godell is, as well as the Pats being cheating cheaters who cheat their way to Super Bowl wins

Exactly. Everyone knew he would walk. Not so much because the case was weak, but because insufferable cheating cunts always walk. A 4 game suspension was dangled only to cement the sham "legacy", so that the general public be secure in their disgust. I thank Goodell for being smart enough to lose, so that the Pats would never be extended an inkling of sympathy by the kind hearted amongst us. Instead, the coils of hate have hardened, and these cheating cunts will never shake their true identity. In the Canton of public opinion, the Pats are forever enshrined.

I just remember something about not-so-cryptic text messages between Brady and the ball boy.

There was a joke txt between two equipment managers where one called the other "the deflater." It was not from Brady. But also note this txt was from before the season, then during the season between the same two people there was a txt exchange about a home game where they checked the balls the day after and found that the Refs had overinflated the balls to 16psi, which sort of goes against the idea of them deflating balls during home games.

Fuck yeah. I'm guessing that there is a longer statement or article that goes in depth of what the judge thinks.

Why didn't the Colts ball deflate?

You put it in much better word than I.

this take just burned me

Hell yeah! Whole thing was a sham from the beginning. Anyone who couldn't see that, especially as the court case developed, was just looking for another reason to hate the Pats.

There's a surprisingly high amount of well worded bitterness in this thread. Most of the time it's incomprehensible ravings of mad men...

Bravo, GAF.

Here is the Judge's reasoning:

"The Court is fully aware of the deference afforded to arbitral decisions, but, nevertheless, concludes that the Award should be vacated. The Award is premised upon several significant legal deficiencies, including (A) inadequate notice to Brady of both his potential discipline (four-game suspension) and his alleged misconduct; (B) denial of the opportunity for Brady to examine one of two lead investigators, namely NFL Executive Vice President and General Counsel Jeff Pash; and (C) denial of equal access to investigative files, including witness interview notes."

Man I really wish my Cleveland Browns played the Cheatriots this year so they could crush their smug cheating asses into the ground on their way to the Super Bowl.

Imagine what would happen if Brady starts tonight in the final preseason game and gets hurt and is out for the year.
