I wish enemy bullets did more damage. I don't really even bother sneaking anymore as just shooting enemies is fairly easy.

yeah, you take a ton of punishment.

especially if you keep showering regularly (which ups your hitpoints) and put on some armored outfit.

I have to say. I am kind of glad Side Ops exist because they have no ranking scores to give incentive to play stealthily, so they're great for doing playing with lethal weapons and goofing around.

So I don't think this is thread worthy because it's just a simple question. But, since Kojima is gone. Will you be taking any new Metal Gears made through Konami as canon or not? I myself am conflicted as to whether I will or not. I don't know...

deployed a combat online op

isH4q8P.jpg

I just deployed one that has a 1.9day timer. Wtf.

Also, does anyone know a repeatable mission where you can extract usable female recruits? I want a security team comprised entirely of females!

So i am at the start of mission 12 and could use some help.
The one where you're off to get Huey. I'm stuck in the first interior after the cutscene with him and Skullface and i'm now supposed to get to his lab. But i can't find a way to get anywhere except back outside. Been stuck here for 30 minutes now.
.

You're supposed to leave the power plant and head north to the central base.

so how do you set music fo du choppa?

Press X/Square on the selected song.

Just went back to Mother Base after side ops 143 -
Quiet dove in for the necklace. This isn't the moment she leaves right? She's just in the sickbay right now.

Maybe I'm dumb, but how do you equip the
gatling gun
on the
D-Walker
buddy?

iDroid -> Motherbase -> Customize -> Buddy -> D-Walker

Yes, it's really contrived, because this is the only Buddy you can customize this way, rather than from the Deployment menu.

Is it possible to ise gun customization to create a makeshift patriot? Maybe like an assault rifle with the lmg drum magazine and a short barrel

Lol enemies don't attack you when you're inside a Soviet tank in Afghanistan. I just parked that in the middle of a base and no one did anything.

Ok, thanks! Yeah, I tried to equip it the obvious way, but all 3 loadouts are the same.

Need Mother Base help here (mid-game spoilers?)

Several staff members got quarantined due to those chest-blisters and Ocelot is asking me to contain any suspicious personnel in my iDroid. How do I tell if anyone is showing risks of infection?

Lock anyone who speaks Kikongo and continue with your story missions as soon as possible.

Hey guys, did you know that that thing in the sky is an enemy gunship, and that a single burst is enough to tear a man in half? Just reminding you. Again.

When does gun customization start? I want a damned silencer on my tranquilizer sniper rifle.

side op about a legendary gunsmith, thinking around 15?

I didn't get to read your opinion on MGS5 (more than 340 pages after all), and I remember you had lots of expectations toward its release, so, what do you think of it? :)

I can see why hardcore fans of the linear, scenario/narrative driven formula that composes MGS1/2/3/4 would be disappointed. I think this is faulted if you play it too much like other open world games, since it's quite barren, empty, and generally lifeless. I'd like to see the same idea explored with more emergent, dynamic events in the open world, kind of like what MGS4 was trying to do in Act 1 and 2.

That aside, I'm enjoying it more than MGS4 and PW by a long shot. Probably the best in play the series has ever been, even if that results in the narrative taking a little bit of a back seat. I'm glad the send off for Kojima's vision of the series shows that the games really can completely excel on gameplay and don't need narrative or cinematic elements to elevate them. It's a secret successor to Far Cry 2 (a game I love), and in some ways reminds me a bit of Delta Force (probably the settings and feeling of encounter approach). All the core gameplay systems are incredibly satisfying to play and the stealth and combat are beautifully rewarding.

I like it more the more I play. The highs are easily the series highs for me. Long stretches of intense, open stealth and emergent combat followed by interesting, show-dont-tell bookend cinematics. It's weirdly the most not-Metal Gear Solid as you knew it Metal Gear Solid I've played, but the identity is still there, and I feel KojiPro is accomplishing what they were conceptualising as far back as MGS3.

So yeah. Great, wonderful game. Can totally empathise with people who are disappointed or find the change in direction unfavourable. But personally I love it.

So taking out base comms still results in other bases having the alert level raised to moderate if you get caught. Strange, considering the whole point is that communication with other bases is meant to be cut off.

Im starting episode 21 and
no sight of Quiet yet. Have I fucked myself along the way by not doing side ops or summin?
