First of all, I apologized if there is any mistake, my english isn't perfect.

Just finished the prologue and first chapter. Everything was top tier, but I would've loved it WAAAY more if I hadn't seen all of the trailers.

Gameplay is amazing, it's ground zeroes but better. I honestly think this could become one of the best game I've played (gameplay wise).

Personally, I think that big boss talks less because of those 9 years in coma, you are a new man, you are not the person you used to be, you are being born again (If you played the prologue you shoulod know where this is coming from). Big Boss literally asks miller to tell him what to do next like he used to. The main topic of the game seems to be the loss of the tongue/language. Maybe the decision to not use David Hayter has something to do with this, maybe it was needed to show this change in Big Boss persona.

Please, if anyone answer to this, remember I've just finished the first chapter, so no spoilers from anything beyond that please.

That's how I interpreted it

If anyone is having problems with words on their emblem, use the d-pad to go right and left to turn the page. It is still slow if you move up or down, but it's at least functional.

I'm not really understanding how Quiet works. Sometimes the option to shoot just doesn't come up at all. Is she too far? Can I move her closer? The "Talk to Quiet" option does nothing.

Without spoiling anything, how many side-ops will I have to do to unlock the ending? It's only the highlighted ones that count or do I have to do some of the "normal" ones too?

Bruh I hate sandstorms.

Sandstorms are basically stealth camouflage that also dampens all sound including your gunfire. It is the best thing to happen when you're starting a mission, taking out a base, or extracting a target. It is the best RNG to ever exist in a game, because I actually feel good when it happens unlike most RNG.

So did Snake lose huge chunks of his memory in these nine years? Mission 13-ish:
He doesn't know anything about cloning? He doesn't have any clue who a Dr. Clark might be? Didn't he leave the Patriots in the first place because Zero had Dr. Clark clone him?

Fuck.

Question about Helicopter pickups.... Is there a way to get picked up and then immediately brought to another drop-off point on the same map? Every time I get in the chopper, it takes me away and I have to select the new landing zone I want from there.

So did Snake lose huge check of his memory in these nine years? Mission 13-ish:
He doesn't know anything about cloning? He doesn't have any clue who a Dr. Clark might be? Didn't he leave the Patriots in the first place because Zero had Dr. Clark clone him?

Fuck.

I'm pretty sure he was just feigning ignorance on that tape. That's what it sounded like to me.

I mean, would you tell someone you were formerly some part of a modern day illuminati-esque organization. Especially to guy you suspect of stabbing you in the back.

hes intentionally playing dumb to emmerich because he doesn't trust him and Les Enfants Terrible is a sore subject anyway. It's pretty clear if you listen to those tapes again that BB is being cagey.

Yea not feeling that, he literally ignores people like they aren't there but he is ok in tapes.
And you mean the first episode...not chapter.

I am dreading this mission ._.

Has anyone else heard about an apparent glitch with completing mission 42 though? Or is it just one unfortunate guy here?

You should, it is a pain in the ass. 1 hit KO on extreme fuck that. Took me 2 hours to get S rank.

Mission 42?

I thought someone said there were like 32 in the game? By that do they mean 32 main story missions?
Chapter 1 :)

Sorry man but this game has REALLY easy stealth. From the camo for different surfaces,to the sneaking suit, to crawling (and "stealth mode" while crawl) and just throwing magazines everywhere, you can literally do whatever you want.

Explain the suits then. I'm in Afghanistan and I've only used desert camo and sneaking suit. Barely any difference.

This isn't like other Metal Gear games in terms of how the stealth is handled, so you have to treat it differently or it will end in frustration and confusion. Yes, crawling helps a ton but if you try to play this like MGS 1,2,3, or 4, you can't. Running is an instant notification for enemies sometimes, whereas in older games it was not until you reached a certain proximity from the enemy.

They have super hearing and sight in the game sometimes depending on what you wear and do sans crawling(unless you have the sneaking suit which greatly decreases how they detect you for some reason). Also I suggest going out at night. I know that daytime looks good graphically but it is extremely hard to stealth when there are barely any shadows. The sun is basically a giant flashlight in the sky and the enemies do not have night vision goggles

Crawl everywhere I guess.

So I restarted this to play it on PC, and to try to have a better start to the game overall. (Higher ranks on early missions, better choices on development.)

At the end of the Phantom Limbs mission,
How the hell do I get past the Skulls without being noticed?

If you wait at the end of the bridge eventually they slowly move towards you. Wait until the ones on top of the bridge move past the end so you can just ride your horse up the hill (right side) and run past without being spotted.

I just did the very same thing, it wasn't difficult at all.
Lured them away with the horse, then snuck around them.

Question about Kaz, did he lose his limbs nine years ago, or in Afghanistan?

Afghanistan is what is hinted.

WOW. Mine was 10 hours.

Does anyone know if after you and the retaliation F.O.B. invasion happens/doesn't happen you can "ignore" further invasions? I haven't invaded yet, because I worry that despite me wanting to mess around, I don't know if I want to sit there and counter invaders every day while finishing up the single-player.

once I get connected online, get the daily bonuses, and transfer my GZ save file...can I go back offline? Or do I have to stay online to get my stuff from GZ occasionally?

Also, is there an end to the deployment missions? or do they just keep recycling and going forever

Uh so, where are
the Man on Fire's remains
in side op 144? None of the soldiers know anything, which is kinda annoying. Am I just supposed to run around and hopefully come across them?

Wear the camo for the ground/area you infiltrate during the day, it helps quite a bit when you crawl or even crouch walk. Mostly crawl when close,of course.

The sneaking suit you use at night or when you go in close cause it makes your footsteps as you crouch walk quiet,so you don't need to slowly sneak up or past people.

But I get it man, some people are just not made out for stealth, that's totally fine though.
This game gives you tons and tons of options,I personally love sneaking but I constantly do all kinds of other stuff, like using MG nests or anti air guns, or calling in my chopper while I go rambo. Or i sneak up and stab everyone.

I mean, really, you have unlimited magazines, you can throw them everywhere and just sneak by people XD

It's really quite funny this keeps coming up XD

They're right in the middle of the area in the open.

I totally didn't get that impression from it - it sounded more like irritability about
Huey's continued attempts to claim innocence...
. Could totally have missed the intent though, as I listened to that tape at the end of. 7 hour play session in the early hours of the morning...

Anyone else dismissing all troublemaking staff? I've been removing A+ troublemakers

Is there a way to rehabilitate their personality?

So i am at the start of mission 12 and could use some help.
The one where you're off to get Huey. I'm stuck in the first interior after the cutscene with him and Skullface and i'm now supposed to get to his lab. But i can't find a way to get anywhere except back outside. Been stuck here for 30 minutes now.
.

Gaffers who are farther along, is it appropriate for a 13 yr old? What kind of material does it explore later on?

Some will tell you its just fine for a 13 year old. most of these people are not parents. I think that some of the themes are just too adult at times for kids that young.

Actual end game spoiler...do not click if you haven't finished the story.

Anyone feels that "twist" was expected with the way Ishmael said "You're talking to yourself" with Kiefer's voice at the start of the game and the reflection in helicopter and all....but the way it was done was so so poor and disingenuous, Kojima pulled off a Heavy Rain by altering the way we saw the events happen with the mirror reflection and "48 hours later"
