Why does Miller keep explaining to BB via radio who Huey is? Surely he remembers you know, the events of PW himself. Or is it just the 9 years in a coma might have messed up his memory?

Just finished mission 12. Was great but the extraction segment took me so long. Was throwing decoys, calling in smoke support.

I ended up with a B rank but had -260,000GMP mostly due to Support Costs. WTF. I fultoned every container, every 'special' vehicle, got all the resources in the main camp. Maybe it cost me more to fulton everything than what I got in return.

I also started 2 base platform developments during the mission so maybe that affected it but I didn't think MB expansion is included in mission report GMP tallies.

When you're doing side missions of the main objection in a mission...for example on Phantom Limb mission (mission #2) to extract the commander of the Wakh Sind Barracks. Can you just leave? Or do you need to finish it for it to count?

Second: I just extracted the commander and was going to make my way to the transport vehicle but it vanished. What gives?

Anyone on this?

Just wondering if I have to go through the hassle of saving Miller again.

Could be a later plot point that neither of us knows, I figured it was the fact they don't expect every MGS fan to have played MGS PW, even if they really should have.

From the PC thread:

I've made a quick mod here to play as Quiet. It replaces the Solid Snake costume from MGS1:

Just be sure to follow the instructions properly. You'll need to work a little as I didn't feel like uploading a 1.5Gb file so instead I'm explaining how to extract, replace a file in and repack the archive.

I just want to be clear on something. Do you get a secret ending or anything for completing EVERY objective for all the missions?

I'm also curious what happens if i replay a mission? Can i strive for just the ones I missed (plus the main obviously)? Or do you have to hit them all in one go for it to count them all?

You can strive for missed ones. They seem to be cumulative so clear them all over how many plays it takes, no need to try and get them on one attempt. Obviously the tasks also help out with bonus points for nabbing an S-rank too. Though it's a trade-off with clear-time and not risking being discovered.

Surprisingly (chapter 2 spoilers):
the repeat missions
I'm actually finding to be pretty fun, especially the pure stealth ones. Taking out the Walker Gears completely undetected was super satisfying.

I wanted to upgrade my Support Platform. It was completed and the timer finished. Now there's just a wrench and nothing seems to happen?

I love the get-in-get-out when escaping in a helicopter or riding your horse. I'm still trying to figure how managing your troops and Mother Base works. So many stats and options.

Can you open up a resources container or can you only fulton them? Also it's indoors, can I do anything?
Fulton only as far as I know. Surprised that you found one indoors. From what I've noticed they have static positions, and I've only ever seen one outdoors. Hmm.

So, no more automatic aim at the enemy when you re spotted and reflex kicks in? I think i remember in ground zeroes it did aim right at the enemy just by pressing L2.

Posted before but no one answered it.

I believe it's still in there, I used L2 when I'm spotted and it went straight to the person

It's in mission 12 and just noticed that there's a small opening in the ceiling, guess it goes through that.

Just fought the
skulls

FINALLY KojiPro nailed good/responsive gunplay (MGS4 was almost there) as well as action mechanics.... can't tell you how many times I use dive like I'm playing Resident Evil 6 (^____^)

Also, I don't hear enough people commenting how fucking awesome the music is in this... not just the licensed stuff but the Gregson-Williams-esque action compositions. Incredible stuff that immediately snaps you into the mood <3

I LOVE the song that plays during the sortie prep

I always sit there for like a minute, just staring at boss and his buddy, listening to the music

I finished it today. I just grinded side ops till the story missions unlocked. The only extreme mission I replayed was cloaked in silence.

Ah thanks, I dread redoing some missions in extreme but good to hear I can just do side ops instead.

It depends on the autoaim stat of the gun. Higher ratings will snap you over from a larger radius. I think.

Was wondering what the constant buzzing following me everywhere was.

Stinking Snake

Mission 20 question:
How do I get away from Man on Fire? I've used water on him from the small tanks and the water tower and Kaz says get to the chopper but how when the tunnel is blocked.

Miller should say immediately that he's gonna send the chopper closer or in other words, you have to call in the chopper yourself on your iDroid to 3 different LZs that now in the immediate vicinity. However, the trick now is to make sure you time the call right while stunning Fire Volgin because that mofo will blow up your chopper while you're on it.

There are 3 containers inside at the airport in Africa with no roof access =/.
I guess maybe I need to C4 the ceiling or something or use a truck.

Where do I find the animals I been capturing? Miller said he build a platform for them but I can't find it anywhere.

Call a helicopter to Mother Base->Get in->X->iDroid->X->Fly to Zoo->????->USELESS!

oh my fucking god

gunship saw me as I was putting the kids into the chopper

Thanks guys.

Sometimes I forget there is a game outside of Mother Base. I'm just constantly deploying people, upgrading structures, purchasing upgrades, etc. I love it ^_^
