Guys I need help with quiet

how do you get close enough to her to tranq her? She always disappears and drops a grenade. I spent two hours on this but no luck so far. Can really use some advice. :(
it will probably take a while to tranq her out but the fastest way to a non-"lethal kill is to drop a supply drop on her head twice and you're good .. U have to use your scope to tag her and do cover fire so she doesn't move when u drop your drop

Easy way to do it:
Call in a supply drop on her head

However if you want to do it with
tranq gun the way I did it was just figuring out where she was, running in close while diving into cover whenever she was about to shoot me, and then pop out of cover and shoot her

btw
to get all the checkmarks for the mission you have to use the supply drops or otherwise not shoot her with any guns, lethal or non lethal.

Holy shit didn't think of that :D

Anyone knows how I can unlock that costume for Quiet? I like it quite a bit more than the default outfit...

I just unlocked the ability to create a FOB. Now the question is do I even want to? Has anybody been able to use the FOBs yet? Is it worth it? I'm just afraid of losing resources every time I go offline.

I'm only a few episodes into Chapter 2 but I'm starting to feel the game is blatantly unfinished.

Well, there is an entire episode cut from the game that closes a thread in the plot. As of right now, you could see it on Youtube to get the conclusion but it isn't in the game which is weird because Kojima has always been a perfectionist so I wonder if Konami had a hand in the matter.

I transferred my GZ save and got Kojima but none of the other prisoners and The Eye and The Finger came over. I extracted them all on normal. What gives?

Can anyone say why you can go on missions as DD members of the combat team? Is there any point to this? Do the "skills" actually translate into gameplay at all?

The game explains this to you, but you unlock them as you finish main-ops missions. They trickle in.

God, Big Boss' muteness has come to a peak in Mission
30
...

Skullface monologues at him for like 10 minutes and NOT A FUCKING WORD.

No joke this is the first time I was annoyed at Silent Snake, it's like instead of actually writting dialogue for him, the game awkwardly puts in a song inbetween monologues.

Any specific reasons why? (I haven't played the game yet.)

So I'm getting Side Ops that should have been full on Missions and story beats are seemingly happening offscreen or relegated to the cassettes. Some of the missions are ridiculously simple in nature, like one was rescue a hostage in an open field with no guards.

The game is also throwing older missions at me in different difficulty levels instead of providing new Missions.

The tapes do get dark, holy shit.
Really? Like, are we talking about GZ levels of pitch black?
Konami: Fuck you, we want this released.
I feel it's like a combination of that and Kojima was really trying to outdo himself to a point where it became a risky Hail Mary toss that won't quite stick.

It's annoying because people complained about it in Peace Walker and now they're here again although much better than what Peace Walker had you do.

Oh. Shit.

Mission
42 is 29 but on Extreme.

Do I. Do I have to. Please Kojima. Don't make me. PLEASE.

Just do side ops.

Holy shit. Mission 20 just fucked me up.

Is there a way to extract the Man on Fire? I was given the option but Mantis kept popping the balloon.

Question about Quiet (late game).
I had it spoiled for me that she'll eventually leave your team at some point and I'd like to do as much as I can before that. The problem is that I don't know when she'll leave and since the game autosaves on the single save slot, I'd rather just know what the point does she leave, or better yet how to keep her.

Can you extract the skulls? While replaying the first mission I was able to use my tranq rifle to knock them out and they stayed down but the fulton icon was X'ed out even after the mist cleared.

Yeah seriously, it's so awkward. Did they not finish recording these lines or something? No one can look at this scene and go "Yup that's a conversation, this flows nice, Snake would never have anything to retort here"

Oh. Shit.

Try using that AA gun emplacement.

Weird, with me he only told me about the plants I haven't collected. Once I did, he never spoke of it again haha.

Great story beats, focus on doing side ops and leave the repeated missions. Don't expect anything so that you won't be disappointed.

It seems to me that most people didn't listen to Codetalker's tapes, he mentions the word Kikongo 1000 times in those tapes.

If you really want to know (it's annoying otherwise) -

Anyone who speaks the language of Kikongo. Quarantine them.

It was pretty easy for me to figure out (surprisingly). The couple of tapes you get plus the members in there only have one similarity.
Thanks! I've been behind on listening to the tapes. Gotta put time aside to just give them all a good listen.

Believe it or not, it's an R&D upgrade lol

It is in the controller options I believe, not in the audio options.
I was thinking it was an upgrade (I have level 2 which says you can use as a speaker, but I only see that option when listening to the audio tapes and when I turn it on, it still doesn't come out from the controller) and I checked all the options, didn't see anything related to the iDroid.

dude, if that game had coop too, it would be the game of the year,... for years to come
It seems like such a wasted opportunity given that Peace Walker had co-op (albeit local only) functionality.

Repeat missions just on higher difficulties.
Eep. That's disappointing to hear. As long as the moment-to-moment gameplay holds up, at least.

Man, mission 18 was terrible. I had a bug where it wouldn't let me in the cell area because I was 'under alert' despite having killed every enemy and hidden for 10 minutes. Then then you have no real control over
your escorts. You should be able to choose wait or go, not the one the game decides for you. And then they refused to run the last 100m to the chopper for ages. Eh, a bad one. At least Quiet was awesome, cleared half the camp on her own.

I assumed the repeating stuff and side ops was them running out of time but maybe not if it was in Peace Walker. What a weird choice to make in an already really long game that doesnt need padding

I just finished the game. The story was a total wet fart. Even MGS4's story was kinda entertaining in its ridiculousness.

Is the so-called chapter 2 actually lengthy?

Where can I visit
Huey______
(character spoiler) in Mother Base?

R&D, took me forever to find him, ground floor. You'll see signs with his face and something something lab on it near the stairs leading you below.

Not really. Good/great story beats though. Just focus on side ops until a new story mission unlocks.

Why did my support team call in some weird giant smoke bomb? I was looking around in menus before it happened, then randomly they just dropped a couple of them and alerted the whole damn base. And why didn't it dissipate?
