how many side-ops are there for that? I think i'm trolled by Kojima lol"Legendary Gunsmith"
Answer:
More than you'd think. More specifically, I think it was three in total.
Not-So-Ninja-Edit: Of course Evil Flash beats me!

NVG are my real buddy.
Definitely. The storytelling (and dialog in general) is mostly relegated to the cassettes.
Fortunately they really nailed down a solid world and mechanics. It really is a blast to play.

I really wish they had brought back the % camo system. I thought that was a brilliant feature in 3
Almost.
[OT2] A Hideo Kojima game by Kojima Productions starring Hideo "Hideo Kojima" Kojima
So whats the deal with boasters? Can you never really tell what their stats are?
Yeah I've played 8hrs or so, game is very good stealth game and don't mind listening to the cassette tapes which I usually play at mother base.
This is really weird though especially after theprologue
I wonder why Kojima did this, could it be from past complaints on too many cutscenes?
uhm if it's the mission I think it is, then miller gives you an radio message that they're gonna do their thing at night time. So you can watch them go around in circles until night, or search the area to find what they're looking for before them.
Mission 45 is some pure fucking horseshit. Anytime this game decides to throw mountains of armored vehicles at you it just goes to complete trash. Combined with the horrible checkpoint system you can lose a ton of progress from a single hit from these damn things.
The more of this bullshit I encounter in the second half of this game, the more I turn on it. I was merely tolerating it before because I felt it was worth it, but now I legitimately think the second half of this game is bad. Mission spoilers:How about redoing the Quiet fight except this time she one hit kills you if she sees you for more than a second? Or missions 16 and 29 against the Skulls that are just boring sponge fights where they can wipe you at in a second too? It's bad design and frustrating.
Has anyone had lots of GMP just go missing? I don't have a FOB up and running or anything. I just logged in for today and have lost hundreds of thousands.
The Skulls are fucking insane.
Guys, can someone please explain the fast travel system again? Very slowly and maybe illustrated with screenshots cuz I'm very stupid.
Marking Quiet on extreme is nearly impossible because she can kill you instantly upon seeing you.For Quiet:You can win the battle by throwing sleeping gas bullets with the chopper on her location. Just mark her with the binoculars and call the chopper.
For the Skulls:You can kill (and extract them too) by going to a roof and call the chopper for some missiles. You can use the rocket launcher too.
If you go to the roof they rarely go upstairs, and if they go just run around until they go down again.
And go with Quiet with the best rifle
Is the easy way.
Spoilers bro[OT2] Snake is Quiet.
I cover my eyes so i can read the subtitle but don't See the spoilers. What a major Design flaw....Man those opening credits for every episode are annoying as hell, wish they wouldn't give away who's gonna show up in it. Think I'm just gonna turn away from the screen from now on because it gives the surprises away. Biggest misstep in my opinion is this when it comes to the story.

It seems to be a common thing with the generic soldiers.Anyone know why my character sounds like she's having an asthma attack whenever I sprint? I took a few sniper shots and a mortar during a fight earlier but no prompt for emergency first aid appeared.
Now that I think about it not once in my 40+ hours of playing this has it shown up.

The Skulls part is harder said than done, especially second time around. You have to get lucky and spawn them without a spot you'll be alerted in.
I'm nearly 22 hours in and just finished episode 12. I'd be done with an MGS game by now, but I'm sensing that I'm not even close here. Am I spending too much time doing other stuff? Is there a fast way to progress through the story?
Can someone tell me why I should ever visit Mother Base? It seems completely pointless.

Can I go back to a mission and complete individually previously incomplete mission tasks ? Like, only focused on the incomplete ones and then finish off the mission. Or do all tasks have to complete all mission tasks in one go ? Also, how about all the collectables such as tapes and shiny objects ? Can I go back to a mission and just slowly collect those individually or they all have to be collected in one go for it to all count ?
Can someone please tell me, if I beat this game would i still be able to go back and play around with side-ops and redo the main missions? Or do I have to start a new game and start from beginning and unlock all the missions again in order to play through them?
