I guess PS3 sold more than PC / One / 360, because it's PS3. And 360 has to be the least selling version, and PS4 the most selling version.

Well all they care about is profit (in that regard it is understandable) so they should be happy as long as anything sells. Actually I think it is Konami themselves who made this banner ad..

I dunno if the PS3 version really had the strength to out sell 3 systems combined. Even considering Japan. Will be interesting to see the data if we ever get it.

That means the originals, the PSP games, Ground Zeroes and Revengeance plus the HD remake is at 16 million combined? That sounds crazy high...

Yeah, no way it does better combined, it will probably be the #2 best selling SKU, but it will be a VERY DISTANT second.

Lol, yh probably.
PC selling about what I expected, not massive numbers, but respectable. It's the first game in the franchise history to get a PC simultaneous launch, it's not a game is associated with the PC and anecdotally I found a surprising amount of people still not realising that the PC version had been brought forward to the console release date.
Hopefully the typically long legs of PC games carry it forward to a million over time.

I'm quite impressed how MGS4 sold 6 million units on the install base of the PS3 at the time on only one system (the only main MGS game that hasn't been ported elsewhere
). MGS games sure do really well on PS systems, although that shouldn't really come as a surprise lol.

It will go well over a million in the long run on PC. It's gonna have abnormally long legs, imo. Good word of mouth and sale prices with a big name franchise will do it wonders.
I think the PC version will do better than the Xbox twins eventually.

By the way, I know it's not representative at all, but here in the UK, at my local store, I was told that all the PS3 versions had sold out and only 2 PS4 copies were sold (this was within the first few days of launch). That obviously may have to do with the fact the PS4 sales were more in the bundles/digital copies.pre-orders online, but people shouldn't sleep on the PS3 version and count it out; my neighbour too, who's a hardcore MGS fan (but overall a casual gamer) got the PS3 version as he's not bothered about upgrading to PS4 (despite being verytempted by the bundle lol).
But again, I acknowledge it's not representative, but particularly in Japan too, the PS3 version is bound to sell a lot. And if my local store is any indication...then it will probably do well over here (obviously not as well as the PS4 version).
