Life is Strange | Spoiler Thread

The display option in PS4 settings only works with certain games, I'm not sure if it works with LiS

It works for Life is Strange. I wonder why the display settings works on some games but not others. Half of the text in Until Dawn is creeping off my screen and I can't resize the fucking image.

Oh man, this game was pretty damn good. Why Chloe!? T_T fuck that scumbag teacher. I do not want her to die, Max and Chloe must remain bff's. Otherwise, I'll be hella mad. I've had enough downers in this game, I need a happy ending.

I'm spoiler tagging the following as it's speculation/theoretical spoiler and I'm staying on the safe side

Does anyone else think that Chloe is supposed to die? when we first see her, she dies. When we're at the train tracks, she almost dies. When we're in the alternate reality, she dies. The 4th episode, she dies. Idk, it may have something to do with time trying to realign itself? Some shit like that, though it doesn't make sense when considering Kate. Maybe it's just Chloe's luck.

I think it's a possibility that's it's some sort of "destined to happen" sort of thing. I'm still suspicious of Jefferson knowing about Max's power so maybe that's why it seemed like his goal was always to kill her at the end there, maybe it's all connected to some sort of higher power trying to keep timelines in check or something. I know it's kind of outlandish but this game doesn't seem tentative to take turns like that.

Right, I thought the same with regards to Jefferson. I just cannot fathom him knowing anything about the power, so it begs the question: if he knows, how so?
I guess we'll just have to wait until the last episode releases. I don't want this game to end :(

I like your avatar btw!

kinda disappointed it's Jefferson. I'll have to see how it plays out. but Nathan being malicious was genuinely stomach-churning, it felt real that someone so rich and with such a family history of brashness would develop sociopathic tendencies. I guessed at Jefferson back after kate's suicide (/attempt, goddamn still bummed I could save her haha) but didn't want it to come true. Now that it has it seems merely like a twist for the sake of a twist, done precisely because it is so out of nowhere. I dunno.

Curious what the hell's gonna happen in 5, considering we're drugged in a bunker with Jefferson. (speculation)
seen theories we're going to travel back into a photo of Rachel? I could see that. Have to travel back into some photo, at least.
other than that I don't see how the episode is gonna have a full run time, heh.

I feel like Jefferson and Nathan aren't alone in this. It wouldn't surprise if Nathan's dad had a hand in this, especially with the cost of the bunker. No way was Nathan able to fund it without his dad knowing, even if he is rich.

Also, Jefferson might have been the one behind the scheme, but it looks like Nathan's done a lot of the heavy work. Only exception might be Rachel, since Nathan might have been genuinely knocked out in the picture. He was also happy to see Rachel in the diner, even though it was Max. If he knew for sure she was dead, he would have freaked out in that encounter. I'm sure their relationship is really complicated, and we will find out more in the next episode.

On the Rachel photo theory, I don't think that can happen. Max can only travel back in photos where she is present. But her powers might evolve to bypass that, however.

We already know it was funded by papa Prescott, there was a build order in his name for the bunker inside the bunker.

The question is if he knows what it is being used for.

what we need to find out is what's up with papa prescott and the whole "fulfill your destiny" shit with nathan
I think it is simply growing up fulfilling his father's expectations. Don't think there is anything to suggest otherwise, the Prescotts have a history in Arcadia Bay & Mr. Nathan Prescott wants to see their dominance continue.

Any news if there is going to be a season two? I don't want the next episode to be the last time we see Max. Really such a great game. My GOTY.

They said that, if there's a Season 2 (which I think it's safe to assume there will be, at this point), it would be with different characters, since they wanted to close Max's story in this one.

I dunno—I think the fact that the Prescotts have historically built disaster shelters and are currently developing on a tract of land points to them knowing something about the coming superstorm. How that links with Jefferson/Nathan photographing and killing teenage girls I'm...not exactly clear on

Ah, so it could possibly be a new cast of characters? Speaking personally, I would be down with playing a series of episodes which stared Alyssa.

I cannot stand her voice acting though . . . Retool that and it might have some possibilities.

Honestly though, I'd love a Warren series where he realizes how much a creepy douche-bag he was and he frantically tries to undo every thing he's done in his whole life. (I agreed to the movie and genuinely want them to have a fun time . . . this play through).

I get the impression that killing Rachel was never part of the plan, and that she was the first. It's unknown what Jefferson has done before coming to Arcadia Bay, but based on what I remember, only four or so people have ever gone missing in Arcadia Bay, and the last one before Rachel was about ten years ago. I'm also not sure how this links with the Presotts...

Her voice had never bothered me, but I can definitely see it being grating to the ears for some. But a lot of the secondary characters in the first season are easy pickings for being a playable protagonist for season 2.

As for Warren, the kid is 16. It's quite possible that he's just awkward with talking to girls, along with not knowing what to do or say. We've all been there, as I have done/say some stupid, creepy shit when I was trying to find a girlfriend at the time when I was in high school.

Yep, it's clear this is the case or Kate would be dead as well.

Specially since Max mentions how angry Rachel was in some photos almost as if she knew what was happening to her.

Right, but that's what would make his game endearing. He means well, but he can't stop throwing the wrong vibes out. Getting to fix that could be fun (although it would also be wishfulfilment for many. Maybe not the best idea.)

Yeah, I'm surprised that there we're no dialogue trees for Max to point this flaw out to Warren. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the character at all (at the end of the day, he's just a lovable dork that has a common sense handicap), but I would've been down if there was a way for Warren to have this character growth.

Yeah . . . so far his growth has just been "woah, punching a guy is too real for me." Which is a good lesson, just not the only one he should have.

I'd actually expect an entire new cast. As much as I love what Dontnod did in Season 1, that would actually give them more freedom in terms of writing.

Re-did Episode 3 this morning as part of my 'Fix my choices' attempt. God damn is Warren an incessant pest if you don't choose to Go Ape in Ep.2.

Really glad I went back to turn him down now. I hope him and Brooke/Stella are happy together, but stay the hell away from me.

I hope so too. Though, it would be pretty cool if our save data from season one affected certain things in season two. For example, depending on the ending you get in season one, you could hear a character or newspaper reference it in season two.

Agreed, that would be awesome!

Are you a still a virgin if you rewind to undo your first time?

Not sure why but yeah it only happens with certain games.
You would think a PS4 exclusive game would use the feature though.

Is Max a virgin?

Yeah. She isn't exactly a swinger.

D-Does she like girls uwu

I have a question about the photo thing;
could it be possible to enter any of her photos and travel back, or is she restricted to something like D4's mementos.

Well, the only limits to her powers are when she overuses them. Rewind too far, and her nose starts to bleed. Fastforward too often, and she get's a nasty migraine.

In the OT back around EP 3, I had a strong suspicion he was the guy. He came across as too nice, but seemed to have some sort of ties to the Vortex club. The big alarm is why is this world famous photographer in this podunk town to teach photography? I know the school has a national reputation, but it was too neat.

Thread getting weird.

Hey guys it's ok just wait two months no worries

Nope! Everybody panic

Well that's a good way of getting locked.

I don't even

So I just finished the episodes last week and I uh um...

Yep, we're in that period where all the content has been consumed with everything theorized and discussed. I know it too well as an ASOIAF fan. -_-
