Do you really believe that XB1 will sell anywhere close to 800,000 units and, if they did, that the PS4 will just be sitting stagnant and not moving close to the same, even if it is a little less due to Halo?

I don't know, I think the PS4 has a solid chance of winning this holiday season, or at least, match the XB1 in sales. Of course, I'm expecting a price drop and some really good bundles.
BTW, I'm predicting 36 million shipped for PS4 by the end of 2015.
Because if Nintendo dropped the price they still wouldn't sell enough to see the same sort of revenue than if they left the price as is.
MS will slash prices and pack in a shit ton of games just like last year. Sony doesn't have to do anything so drastic as they know it is a year long race in North America and not just a sprint during the Fall/Winter.
If they cut the price, Sony will sell like hotcakes. I just do not see a reason to cut the price yet, it would be great if they did though.

Very small gap for PS4 still after all that MS did this month you would think they could have won .

It's 43k if you use 202k. 209k is less than 100 units less, so it can really be either or, or just 42.5k, but then I just round that up to 43k.

Very nice to see Until Dawn chart that high in only five days.
PS4 will blow away Xbox One in September. I can't see in any way, shape or form that it doesn't. MGSV is pretty much guaranteed to be number one in the top ten. I'm just hoping Mad Max comes in at number two.

so last year thanksgiving, mS was able to take the lead in the U.S for a short period of time. all this time I thought they just outsold the Ps4 for those months.
To be fair, XB1 is at 201,600, but yeah 42k or 43k doesn't chance much.
...That's bad for Until Dawn and Rare replay.

I do not expect a permanent price cut, I just expect the deals during the holidays to include a lot of games at a killer deal.

I doubt it'll be as close as last year. Unlike 2015, MS was working with Call of Duty marketing and a price drop. I don't see Halo making the same impact, especially with what the PS4 has set up.

For a full priced game without marketing and only 4 days of tracking it's amazing it managed to pull next to rare's $30 collection and full month tracking.

Considering Minecraft manages to pull aprox. 200k every month. Gears should be around 160k

We already knew MGSV shipped 3m+ in a week, and 400k of them are from Japan. September is theirs to taking.
