Cant tell if typo or
Obviously it's a viral marketing ARG that points to the ending DLC and more to come.

Yeah, I didn't get that.
Just have him be an amnesiac. He wouldn't have a memory, so he might doubt his own identity, and that would be a more interesting story to watch play out. He knows the events but he doesn't know them as his own past.
The only other thing would be knowing CQC and how to operate guns, but that would be more soldier muscle memory anyway.
Come to think of it....
...Skull Face only met the real Big Boss once right?
And then never again.
What an intense villain!

Where did Chico go after the chopper blew up in GZ? Dead?
They sort of explain it later on.I just got to the part in Africa where Venom encounters Skullface while searching for the leader of the Orphan Boys, and then the Man on Fire and Mantis attack.
They don't explain why Mantis, Man on Fire, and Skullface are working together, do they?

One of MGSV's biggest errors is that Snake can't use a motorcycle in the game. It would just make great gameplay even better. They even designed the perfect goddamn bike for him.
The vehicles in this game suck balls, but a motorcycle would be rad. Customized to go off-road, get into chases and shit, that'd be rad.
Was there actually no given reason lol
Also why could Quiet speak Navajo? Not exactly a common world language.
you got the order wrong. skull face had to have been exiled to africa before he attacks zero, because otherwise he can't have the parasites to attack zero with
This is never explicitly stated in the game though

He never met Big Bawse.
Twice, once in the Honey Bee mission and once in Mission 30.
Edit: Three times actually, another in the Devil's House.
Yes, it is. It's in one of the tapes I listened to tonight, not sure which.
The tapes really do explain a lot, guys. It's worth your time to dig through them, even if you hate the story.
I don't think it was a decision, more like they were forced to after running out of time and money.
He didn't?
I thought it said that he met him once in Russia or something?
You know, the fact that we're all so confused over basic things like why a person attacked the main character, and whether not people actually met isn't a sign of a quality narrative.
I feel like for all its problems, the story of MGS2 is easier to wrap your head around than this.
Then do tell, how does Skull Face know Big Boss is in Cyprus?

Real Big Boss
Real Big Boss
At least with MGS2 (or past MG games) you could at least work out motivations for characters and reasons for their actions. Even if it took digging into a codec or wrapping you head around a 15 minute info dump.
Well that is obviously because a plane carrying a small psychic child crashed after exploding into a ball of flames somewhere over Cyprus (or Russia. I don't know) when BB (Venom) woke up which triggered the lust for revenge in Volgin which woke him up.
(I don't know. I'm starting to question if Volgin waking up even makes sense when he wakes up because of Venom waking up, a character he doesn't care about).

I'm so confused. ;_;
Real Big Boss
If he actually woke up when Big Boss woke up that hospital shuld have been bured to the ground before Venom even opened his eyes.
From the coma...that he didn't need to be in...because he was awake after the chopper crash...
nah but during the tape when Zero visits Big Boss he tells him that he sent Skull Face to Africa after he poisoned him.
;_; nothing makes sense any more. The stuff with Volgin and lusting for revenge and rage made sense at the time through tapes because I was all "sure. rage can wake magic men from comas. ok".
Now I've not listened to the tapes in a while so stay with me here.
1) Mantis is flying in plane over Russia
2) Big Boss (real) wakes up from a coma
3)Volgin (in Russia somewhere) wakes up because of psychic link knowing BB is alive and wanting to kill him
4)Lust for revenge triggers in Mantis bringing the plane down in flames and linking Mantis to Volgin
5) Mantis and Volgin fly (via ESP) to Cyprus (because of lusting for revenge tracking)
6) arrive when XOF is there leading to a clusterfuck and the only reason both BB and V escape
Right?
Did they explain why Quiet and Code Talker's eyes do that darkening thing? Why could Code Talker do it?
Honestly the very first thing I noticed regarding Venom not being BB, was way back during the trailers and shit. VS wasn't straight up missing his right eye like BB should be (in Snake Eater para-medic or Snake says something along the lines of it being popped, IIRC?).
My parasite suit is missing
I've done the missions and developed them to the max
Wtf ?????????????
wait you're right. was skull face infected with parasites or what? I never understood that particular plot point at all. I remember code talker saying hahaha you probably got infected with all the parasites except english what with all the bullshit you were doing, but did he have the magical skin parasites like quiet/the rest of the skulls or what?
Code Talker mentions Skull Face has parasites that keep him alive, due to his burns at all, similar to what he has.wait you're right. was skull face infected with parasites or what? Revenge is the underlying theme and much like Kojima's other themes (particularly genes and memes) wrapped around the idea of "passing on" concepts often as literal manifestations. Characters are driven by revenge and ultimately blinded by it, usually leading to a downfall or stress.
Volgan manifests as he is driven by revenge from beyond the grave.
Mantis is empty, and intentionally/unintentionally taps into the desire for revenge in others to manifest his powers.
Skullface does everything he does because of revenge, particularly against Zero and the world order Zero intends to pressure onto the world.
Eli is driven by revenge against his father and upbringing due to loathing the purpose he was made and belief he is inferior.
Skullface uses Mantis' power by tapping into his own will for revenge to control Metal Gear. this is why he's surprised and SUCH A LUST FOR REVENGE when it becomes active again without his intentions, due to it now utalising Eli's will for revenge.
Kaz is driven by revenge against anyone and everyone he suspects implicated in the attack on Mother Base, driving him to paranoia and blind (literally?) rage.
The scripted mother base attack was from an old MSF soldier driven by revenge against Big Boss, who he thought was responsible for the original massacre.
Ocelot is the only one not driven by revenge.
Venom is probably supposed to be "revenge" extracted from Big Boss, while Big Boss goes into hiding, essentially throwing in the towel temporarily and sitting quietly scheming while Cipher/Skullface/Whoever has the upper hand and that drive to continue fighting and seeking revenge sits with others.
Whooooooooooooooo
I finally got around to listening to most of the hamburger tapes and I'm devastated that Hideo "Food Porn" Kojima inserted masturbatory dialogue on how great chemicals pumped into burgers are.
Scrub Tier Burger Eater. Trash. Learn good burgers.
Ishmael was wearing a glass eye. Don't have a source on me but I remember reading this recently. But Ishmael had his right eye intact (but blind) at the intro of TPP. I don't recall specifically what was said in MGS 3 about it.
He also didn't have facial hair either. And a glass eye isn't too far-fetched of an explanation. But Ishmael had his right eye intact (but blind) at the intro of TPP. I don't recall specifically what was said in MGS 3 about it.

I think he had a type of magic parasite that protected him or healed him because of his skin? Maybe?
It would have made a good twist/boss fight for him to reveal that he does have the super parasites and you fight him like that. Could even still have his ending by having the end opf the fight something falls on him/you make something fall on him.
Almost. 6) XOF actually followed Mantis and Volgin to Big Bosses location. It's no coincidence that they appeared at the same time.;_; nothing makes sense any more.
