I don't really see how people liked the Sahelanthropus fight so much. I haven't tried it on Extreme yet, but it felt really boring and repetitive to me.

It was the least tense Metal Gear fight I have had in this series. Possibly because you are usually stuck in a tight space with little room to maneuver.

I didn't really find the attack patterns to be very interesting either.

I know it is probably not a popular opinion, but my favorite fight in the series is the Rex vs. Ray fight in MGS4 especially on higher difficulties.

Mechanically it isn't anything crazy but I liked the attack patterns Ray had and the spectacle of the fight was awesome.

It was just a Metal Gear wet dream. Its probably the best Metal Gear fight in the series, in that its a legit fight.

Okay soooooo

Should I continue past Mission 30....also does this game actually complete the timeline loop?

Do you find the game fun? Then yes.
Will you only play for some cool plot, revelations and an ending? Then not really. There is like, two actual interesting story sequences and then the ending (the chapter that starts with "TRUTH:")

Also do they ever get into Ishmael's story?

Yeah I mean...

Rex: shoot the radome, shoot the cockpit, Liquid boxing

Ray: fight a couple dozen of these guys holy shit, swordfight

Shagohod: thrilling ass motorcycle chase, shoot Volgin on top of the thing

MGS4: Rex vs Ray, nuff said

V: just shoot it wherever with missiles or machine guns who cares

HOOOOOOO BOY

lol same. I never got a chance to finish MGS 1/2 and never played 3. Hoping for some sort of legacy collection on PC or PS4.
Oh bro, I was talking about the MSX games lol!!! You gotta check out the MGS games man, hopefully they put the Legacy collection on another platform (PC would be nice). I'm down for FOX Engine remakes as long as the original games come out to PC.

Guys, I still don't understand why Quiet is dead.

She has no lungs. She breathes through her skin. The virus kills by destroying the lungs of its host.

I should probably play the two Metal Gear games at some point. Are they difficult?

I can't even finish Mega Man 2

Not difficult but MG1 is an exercise in patience.

You will hear the same song over and over and over again. Remember keycards from the early MGS games? MG1 has them but doors are not labeled. So you must cycle repeatedly through keycards just to get the right one. Also expect trap floors to instantly kill you.

MG2 is a must-play if you like MGS1. It actually has a story beyond GO STOP BAD GUYS. However, it is also obtuse in a few areas so don't feel ashamed to use a walkthrough when you get stuck.

Even after MGSV, Kojima has yet to make me feel ashamed.

Next game should star an older Eli. The FOXHOUND members can be your buddies.
Yessss

I would commit ritual sacrifice to make this happen

They also bust out right? I'm sure that might kill her. Like, even if she doesn't need the lungs having a big hole in your chest from parasite eggs/parasites fucking could be a problem.

I dunno though. I don't really know how they work and if people die just because lungs = no work or if they could also die because of them breaking out through the chest (you know the weird purple blister things).

We know parasites don't keep you alive and invincible because you can kill Quiet with a headshot. The parasites just keep her alive by (I assume) putting oxygen through her skin into the bloodstream.

Likely, but living alone for the rest of your life? I'd kinda want to off myself if I were her.

Should I even bother with Quiet's mission?

If you haven't seen the cutscenes in it go for it.

Its completely raunchy, ridiculous B movie tier and the game design is....questionable. Just make sure you take a good rocket launcher with you because once you're in that mission you have to beat it.

Yeah totally. You get to see how Punished Snake becomes Venom Snake.

This isn't true actually. There's a container that allows you to Fulton out of there. It brings you back to the ACC and if you want to go back to mission 45 you need to do side op 150 again (grab the Intel file)

Also don't be surprised if you fail A LOT.

So make sure to come armed to the teeth

The mission design there is the most offensive part of the whole Quiet kurfuffle.

Say what you will about a character designed to sell action figures and promote sexy cosplay for Kojima to fap to, that mission is inexcusable. They should be ashamed of their words and deeds for that one.

Fucking one billion tanks and fucking auto tracking one hit fucking tank shells form that fucking last fucking tank. And fuck you if you try to extract them all. fucking fuck fuck. god fuck shit.

It's got 1% of the raunch of anythign else she is in and if you find what is going on in that scene hot and sexy then you may have an issue.

That's pretty neat. Didn't even think of that.

The more I recall the mission, the more it feels like the actual final boss battle.

Only, it's the kind of final boss that's like Tekken's Jinpachi in that it's hideously unbalanced.

It's 100% a final boss of a fighting game. Fucking cheap shit and AI that knows your moves and can counter perfectly and the only way to win is to be cheap back and be lucky.

Why is Quiet dead? I played 45 and didn't see her die. Is it in a cassette tape?

Also are we sure that she isn't Chico? Because I didn't see him once in the game.

Weirdly enough, I replayed mission 45 a few days ago and it went off without a hitch.

You pretty much have to treat it like a MGRising mission like Mission 29 only it's on Revengeance difficulty this time.

People tend to get confused about the parasite shtick and keep forgetting that they need lungs to be effective which Quiet no longer has. But again, unless she's fine with complete solitude, I wouldn't be surprised if she stuck that rifle in her mouth and pulled the trigger.

Also re: Chico, Kaz confirms seeing him die on the chopper
OR DOES HE????????

Actually weak point is the tank things on its back.

I really want Chico to be Quiet, he had parasites in him during the events of GZ. He did die but that's because she became Quiet. The rain transformed.

Wait.

How does the cutscene after mission 11 plays out if you chose to kill Quiet?

You know, the one with the fighter yet.

I don't think it happens.
