Sony TGS 2015 Conference [Over]

That was not good

No lv5
No dragon crown2
No dragons dogma2
No xenoosaga
No suikoden
No breath of fire
No ff8r
No tales of
No skies of Arcadia

Am disappointed

I got 3, well 2 disappointments from this conference, which was overall good.

- No Level-5 presence. ( Probably a bigger project that is better suited for PGW/PSX?)
- Capcom
- Persona 5 no new trailer ( This I won't really count, because ATLUS having it's on event, same goes for FFXV)

8/10

Why are Persona fans so rude?

The sad thing is, he's apparently a senior editor at Polygon. Really hope that post was meant as a joke.

Besides the golf game and Bloodborne DLC (no one should be excited for DLC)
this does nothing for me. SO for me this was a pretty bad conference. Then again I really do not care much about Japanese games since I find most mediocre and they just do not appeal to me.[/QUOTE]

I do not remember such a brutal conference in a TGS with many games. Is awesome.

this does nothing for me. SO for me this was a pretty bad conference. Then again I really do not care much about Japanese games since I find most mediocre and they just do not appeal to me.

And why would that be so?

So when is the big Atlus event we're expecting to see Persona 5 at? It's a big long stage event that they're streaming right? I really don't want to deal with the chaff.

A lot of irony considering your user name.

sony still very confused of why people love the vita

don't BS me with the all the games they just announced for it , all of them are available for PS3 and PS4
there is now reason to get a PS vita
we want something exclusive , and not some indie game

Ni-oh is the true Versus XIII.
They stole the ugly look of Geralt of Rivia and made him beautiful.

Saga Scarlet Grace and the new Gundam Extreme game is exclusive to Vita.

Ni-oh is the true Versus XIII.

It was hilarious when they admitted the IP can finally "graduate".
In Japan it's been running joke that when games get announced but never gets released (never canned either) they are referred as "staying on the same class" again and again in a school.
The term used to be applied to games like TLG, FF13V and such.

Given FROMs track record with DLC there is every reason to be excited for this. Quite frankly, there isn't a single other dev that does DLC as well as FROM.
Their DLC is of higher quality than their main games usually, which in itself is pretty freaking mind blowing considering how highly regarded their games are.

I thought the game was some sort of Witcher 3 samurai-themed expansion pack when I saw that dude's face lol. I got really confused.

Yeah could be, didn't Ninokuni do better in the west?

The PS3 version bombed in Japan but exceeded expectations in the west. That's why I'm led to believe that their PS4 game is going to be a sequel.

SaGa?

So now that the pre-TGS conference is over, during the actual show we're going to get updates on FFXV, Persona 5 and maybe that The Last Guardian surprise they were teasing on Twitter?

Btw Capcom was a pretty big disappointment with that shitty Resident Evil spinoff :/

Ni-Oh being reintroduced was a nice surprise. I will keep an eye on it.
Very solid conference, with the highlight being the Gravity Daze Remake-Gravity Daze 2 on the PS4. The first one I had secretly hoped for; the second one looks simply breathtaking!
I forgot about The Old Hunters DLC! Best trailer by far... O O

Amazing showing:

- Gravity Rush 2
- Bloodborne DLC
- Ni-Oh (What?!)
- Toukiden Kiwami 2
- Project Setsuna (very interested in the concept of SE going old-school)
- Danganronpa 3

Side note: Good call going with Playstation VR; keep it simple, don't muddy-up your communication.

Yeah, this plus all that...best TGS for a while. Aside from the last 30 mins of this, Sony really seems to have picked up their conferences. This and E3 were the best they have had in years.

Yeah, "senpai" is added at the end of the title.
I remember when Gran Turismo 5 was taking so long to release,
and when it was finally going to be released, people were saying "GT5 senpai's finally going to graduate".
After that, I see people using "senpai" after the title for games that are taking so long to release.

This was a great conference and showed pretty much what I wanted to see from it.

I love how even people in the industry unaffiliated with Danganronpa are referencing it now.

Best means of expressing despair ever!

Well, not totally unaffiliated. While NISA is the publisher, Atlus is the distributor for the Danganronpa games in NA, after all.

Again great to see GR2 but not making a Vita version basically kills it internationally, alot of the fans of the series are in Asia and they hate the PS4 so far.

Does Sega still plan to announce Lexus?

Well, Sega does have three distinct "Coming Soon" slots in their streaming schedule. Initially, it was presumed that the three would be for:

1. Lexus
2. Yakuza
3. Vanillaware game

That could still be the case, but now there's the possibility that Yakuza 6 and the Yakuza remake will have their own slots, and that Lexus was always a codename for one of the two (probably the remake, due to the PS4 and PS3 platforms that Lexus had).

Was there a trailer for Exist Archive?

Yes.

Great conference, but i don't know why they again ended it with talk and stuff like COD which surprises nobody. Price cut is cool of course, but they should spread the good stuff better instead of having it only at the first part of the conference.

That was like the only real flaw. I'd say always save a title for the end even if the head SCEJ guy still makes the ending thank you speech afterwards. It's not like they didn't have plenty they could have put there even within the conference like GR since it's first party, Ni-Oh coming out of nowhere, or even putting Minna no Golf there for a lighter note to end on.

Well they are basically banking on the fact that the series has a much bigger potential audience than what it achieved on Vita. Having played the original, I agree with them. GD is easily one of the best IPs Sony have created in the last five years. The world is absolutely charming and reminds of a combination of Tekkon Kinkreet and Ghibli. I think if they market it right it will find a bigger audience.
