The fact that Quiet apparently can only speak English and Navajo of all languages is so convoluted.
I just assumed she was part Navajo? Otherwise why would both her and Code Talker have the same butterfly face parasites and speak Navajo.

Yeah is the blood on his face meant to turn blue? it was very odd

I still watch this form time to time, one of the greatest trailers for video games i've ever seen.
I fucking hate this game.....
Contrived you mean.
He also did not possess Big Boss's fluency in Russian, relying instead on a translator. Despite this, however, he did seem to remember other things, such as the intent of Metal Gear ZEKE during the Peace Walker Incident, as Snake compared it to what Huey wanted to use his prototype Battle Gear for by privately remarking to Miller that the entire thing seemed like he was having "déjà vu."
...
t is heavily implied that Venom Snake himself (and his nondescript identity as a medic) serves as a deliberate player avatar, due to his original appearance being reliant on the player's decisions and how Big Boss addresses him in a manner that breaks the fourth wall.
...
On the Command Center menu, if the player looks closely at Venom Snake's reflection, it shows the avatar the player created, hinting at the plot-twist of Venom Snake not being Big Boss.
...
The GDC 2013 reveal trailer for The Phantom Pain had first hinted at his existence when Kazuhira Miller, after learning about Big Boss falling into a coma, asks "What about him?" before the scene cut away.
....
The plot twist of Snake not truly being Big Boss is hinted when he meets The Boss AI and Huey, as the AI states, "You're not Snake, are you?", and Huey notices a difference between the two. It was also hinted at when Ocelot explained that Eli was not Venom Snake's clone, and that the genetic examination of the two had resulted negative.
The negativity is not a product of "KOJIMA RUSED ME". It's a product of a story that is surprisingly boring and wholly forgettable from a man who notorious for exactly the opposite. A story that adds little to nothing of legitimate intrigue to the lore, and falls flat on its face in developing an interesting antagonist.
If the story has to rely exclusively on the merits of "It's Trolljima!!!" then what an underwhelming and bland story it is, because MGS1/2/3 were far more than the Kojima Ruse Cruse.
so if I do the quiet one for example can I get quiet back? I don't understand.
I'm not 100% sure which type of colour blindness he has in those moment but I just assumed it was red-green blindness. His hospital pants become yellow I think.
Well *places boot on crate* it all started, pardners, when our old friend Skull Face was hankering for some dirty deeds. Y'see, it was Zee-row who stopped him, and it was Zee-row who would... pay tha price. *snaps imaginary suspenders*
he sounds like a country lawyer telling a story to the jury
I love that Ocelot hypnotised the medic to become Big Boss then hypnotised himself to forget about the real Big Boss.
There is potential for a lot of retcons in future Metal Gears by utilising Ocelot's hypnowizardry.

Yeah, I kind of would rather take the trailers and make up my own story.I still watch this form time to time, one of the greatest trailers for video games i've ever seen.
I fucking hate this game.....
I forgot about the fucking poisonous Zanzibar hamsters, lol. If Kojima closed to loop on that all else would have been forgiven.
Kaz, we're not demons, we're Kaiju!
Well we're talking about the godking of hypnosis here, who also later hypnotized himself to believe he was possessed by Liquid Snake after taking his arm, just to fool the Patriots.
Salenharemaniapotimos is a Jaeger confirmed.

It's a shame that Kojima is continuing the trend of removing the bosses from the central story. MGS1 & 2 both had a selection of bosses who had their own character arcs and played a role in the main story. It allowed for a diverse and memorable selection of characters, and you would anticipate boss battles to find out more. MGS3 really stripped this back; the bosses barely play a role in the story and their personality is defined through the boss battle itself. This isn't actually a bad thing, and the boss battles themselves were memorable enough to make the characters iconic, i.e. The End.
Kojima continues this with MGS4, where it all goes off. The bosses are formally introduced, but you get a 15 minute codec call after the battle explaining their character motivations. It's really poor, as there's no reason to actually care about a character that is no dead.
It only really goes downhill from there with Peacewalker, which is documented to be shit with its selection of boss battles.
no its notIts so beautiful. All the salt.
I asked this earlier dont think i got a response. Is that song Elegia actually in the game?
V is Skullface confirmed.

She says that with her knife.![]()
this whole thing is the only bit about the game story I truly enjoy because of how dumb it is

Metal Gear events were set in motion by 10 year olds
it explains everything
Well, Shinkawa did draw this poster:
What if Ocelot hypnotized Liquid to forget about his time at Mother Base and make him believe Big Boss was a meanie to him as a kid?
What if Ocelot hypnotized himself to fall out of love with Big Boss because he knew it was forbidden?
What if Ocelot hypnotized Zero and Big Boss into thinking the other guy was a dick so they would eventually fight and kill each other because they were responsible for killing his mommy?
What if Ocelot hypnotized the Patriot AI into creating context and stuff because he wanted to be the one who destroyed them and look like a good guy because he secretly loves Solid Snake and wanted him to notice him.
There's a lot of potential in Metal Gear Solid 6.

If she couldn't speak, couldn't she just send big Boss a text message or a facebook message "brb cant talk IRL cuz WOLBACHIA"
Logic: 1
Kojima: 0

MGSV however, I dunno. Quiet and the Metal Gear boss are both very well executed. The skulls, although presented to be very mysterious, played out in a fairly predictable manner.
It's fitting since it feels like a ten year old wrote the story here.

That is still the dumbest thing from mgs4. Kojima establish that ocelot is the son of a spirit medium in mgs3. I can accept that as plausible explanation on how he got possessed by liquid arm. Come mgs4, nope, hypnosis and nanomachines.
Now that I think about it, kinda surprised the Patriots fell for it.
What's the deal with that thing about meeting between containers and Ocelot's aim being off???

well you got my joke![]()
