Persona 5 TGS trailer

Amazing trailer, seems like a generational leap compared to Persona 4 in every aspect.
The fact they're adding a bit of variety to gameplay with stealth is pretty cool. Will dungeons still be randomly generated?
Too bad for the delay but it's clear they know what they're doing and they just need more time than expected.

I am perfectly okay with the wait! Well especially since it gives me time to play Xenoblade Chronicles now....still, summer 2016 can't get here soon enough!!

The main character can look soo evil sometimes. As in magnificent bastard trope like Light from Death Note or Lelouch from Code Geass.

It's really jarring from his timid persona. I wonder if there's double personality going at all here. Like maybe his shadow self will be part of the story throughout the whole game. Appearing here and there talking with the protagonist.
this.
Compared to p3's and p4's MCs, this guy has so much character for a silent protag, it's amazing!

That cast list damn, they've went all out on to get the big names again. Definitely doesn't disappoint even after p4's stellar casting.

Fukuyama and Miyano I called from the moment I heard them, but Nana surprised me with her range once again.

And Sugita! Rina Satou! Aoi Yuki! Damn, this game NEEDS a Dual audio track.

Part of me wants to hope that Jouji Nakata being in this game means that Baofu is coming back, but the rational side of me says he's probably playing a new character.

Well..."Tatsuya" is there ;)
gotta stop doing this to myself

I want to see what replaces the social link system... Will we get info about that soon or did they completely remove it? If so I am sad.

Trailer looks really good though. Wonder if we will be able to talk to all those NPCs in the city...

Wow. That's almost as much of an all-star cast as Persona 3 had. And in some ways more so. Crazy.

He's probably playing a badguy or something, as usual. >_>;

I need this game.... man. this looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

The world around look sso full. I wonder how much of it you can interact with. P4 had a really good amount.

lol.. this game looks wacky. so excited.

YOROKOBE SHOUNEN.

Incidentally, I wonder if it's Ohtani who is playing Morgan? I confess I'm not entirely sure how she usually sounds like outside of Pikachu.

Based on the opening dialogue of the trailer, Sugita seems to be playing Racoon Guy (do we have a name for him yet?)

OHHHH MYYYY GODDDD

SOMEONE HOLD ME

I CANT BREATH

THE HYPE IS

CONSUMING ME

Looks like the best game ever. I am not even disappointed with 2016 release date after this glorious trailer.

Love the idea of stealing hearts and wearing masks to summon your persona. The thief theme seems great. P4 was my favorite of the series, but this seems like a more fitting theme for this series vs. jumping into TVs. At least from what I can gather so far.

Man... that railer is really great. Definitely helps alleviate some of the sting from the delay.

This has me thinking back to the Tower of Kagutsuchi in Nocturne. I like that.

Am I crazy, or can we see some potential S.Link/Community characters in this trailer?

Most random NPCs are faceless, but occasionally, the Protag passes by characters with faces, and a couple times with unique outfits and designs.

-There are some faces in the shool hallway he passes to his right

-Right after that outdoors, there are two uniquely designed students talking to a teacher

-when the Protag is out at night, there's a blond male character hanging outside a club of some sort on the protag's right.

If someone could grab screenshots for everyone else, that would be great. I can't do it myself atm

EDIT: Also,

This has me thinking back to the Tower of Kagutsuchi in Nocturne. I like that.

Glad I'm not the only one who got SMT vibes from this locale. A moon/space base of some sort, think they entered this area through a painting as well?

Lol at people getting overly salty over the delay. I see it as nothing but a good thing; more time to make it the best product it can be. That, and I already knew this was coming. It's childish to be angry that you can't get the game "right this year now".

Great trailer. The gameplay footage in the staff interview video is pretty great too. I like how stylish it looks and how everything snaps into place. It looks pretty polished even though they say they need more time for polish and balancing. There's no doubt that when Atlus brings their A game to something, it always is a joy to play. Too bad about the delay, but there's lots of other shit to play anyway. :P

At work, haven't watched the video yet. Delays are always a little disappointing but if the final product is that improved, whatever. The delay doesn't hurt just us and I'm glad Atlus has put in so much time to make sure it comes out right (assuming that's what actually happened here, but I trust Atlus on quality).

Where is this image from?

How have I completely missed it in the videos?

It was shown after the staff interview trailer on the stream. They didn't include it in the video posted on Youtube for some reason. It shows the protagonists playing some game where he has to tap a button a certain number of times, but he fails to do it.

Just saw a trailer with english subbs posted 15 minutes ago:

I think that's a good translation, there's just one point at 0:18 where I think the translator made a mistake. I don't think Ryûji says anything like "That was trap." All I can make out in that part is 追いつかれるぞ (They're catching up with us) and 降りづれぇ (Hard to walk down).

I really like both the cat's and the character's model in this shot. Also the fact that he's not playing on a flat screen but an older TV.

Dear god, that list is stacked. I'm sure the dub will be great, but please consider dual audio as well. That VA list is too good for it to only stay in Japan.

Guess I'll be double dipping if the West doesn't get dual audio and same-time release as the JPN version.

I wonder what's the chance for Asian version with JPN voices and English subs? I doubt Atlus will release dual audio in NA/EU.

Persona x Yakuza! Damn it seems they learned how to create good dungeons after Catherine. But of course P5 has much more variety. If they can keep that type of puzzle dungeon gameplay up for 60+ hours, it's going to be killer. Then if there are cool optional dungeons too...damn. Makes P3/P4 look amateurish.
