For me it just means that #FE will have to do in the meantime.I'm still trying to finish P4: Golden, with 70+ hours in.
I might be slightly grateful for the delay.
Yeah the same thing is going to happen next year, which I believe is ultimately a good thing since people will be able to play all these big games over a longer time frame than if they were all stuffed in a 3-4 month period. We say this about every year, then half the games get delayed and we're back to the next year being insane.
I'm very disappointed with Atlus for how this game is being handled.
Same. Honestly, the thing I've always liked about Atlus is that they announce games like "OK, it'll be here in six months!" and then they build up the hype and then we have the game. Whereas here, they announce it, they build up the hype, and dangle the elusive release date in front of us for two years.
This year has fully lived up to (with more to come) being "insane".We say this about every year, then half the games get delayed and we're back to the next year being insane.
At least this gives them the chance to learn from their mistakes and to promote it at E3 this time.Same. They've at least been pretty good about not showing off too much footage from the game, so good on them for that, I suppose. Not gonna act like Persona 5 is the first taste of success for Atlus or anything like that but this game is expected to do really well for them so that has probably had a bit of a role in its delay. In any event, if the game turns out really well then I guess that's what matters most in the end - let's just these delays actually help the quality in the game in a positive manner.
So is it still coming to the PS3 stateside, or am I going to have to get a PS4?
haha salt mines...
"atlus lied"

I wonder if atlusprime will ever come back here after that.
Chances are pretty high that you have to buy a PS4 to play it if you can't speak japanese.

The wording of this tweet implies the PS3 version is still coming over: https://twitter.com/AtlusUSA/status/644545937306595328

With the rapidly growing and diminishing userbases respectively, it makes sense for PS4 to be getting some priority.PS4 holding back the PS3 version. :/
Not really surprised by the delay, given how little we've seen of it. That said, i'm fine with it because now we have a pirate Persona!

Honestly with up to another year waiting, I could see them quietly dropping the PS3 version outside of Japan with the install base of the PS4 continuing to grow.
Playstation 4
Persona 5

This is it guys.
Why are some of you guys playing the delay on the PS4?

Since Persona 5 is being developed for a new console, Hashino didnt want to hold anything back and just make a short game, so instead, theyre packing the game with all kinds of content, and itll be the most voluminous title the series has yet to see as far as gameplay and play time goes.
