Yup game looks good can't wait to play it. If I get the PS4 ver. early I'll prob. start playing that with my brother on the PS4.

There was no doubt that this will be his default mode going forward. Can't sell kids guns nowadays. Plus, I think it was silly that he turned into a gun to be used by others.

I always liked it. Felt like all the power he had was concentrated in one place.

It also made him a tool. I feel someone like Megatron would think of needing others to unlock his full potential beneath him. Actually, a shield mode would work for a guy like Prime.

This is what I've wanted for years. I'm looking at my Masterpiece Megatron figure now, and gun Megatron makes for a poor toy. His spindley legs can barely support his own weight. This would not be an issue if he Transformed into a big meaty tank.

For me, I've always been partial to the arrangement of the Transformers theme in Transformers: Animated. The one for the 1986 film is still solid, though.

Megatron didn't kill prowl, from memory one of the constructicons did.
There's some good stuff in S3. Dark Awakening, Grimlock's New Brain. The sequence in return of optimus prime where prime goes into the matrix to seek the cure is particularly good. Call of the Primitives has some fantastic animation too.
Weren't the Stunticons introduced in S3? I loved them as a kid. edit: ah no, just read up about it, but the Terrorcons and Trypticon were introduced, man it brings back memories! A friend used to have the toy of Trypticon, soooooooooooo good!
Defintely watching the animated movie this weekend btw, it's been so long and I should have it in my DVD collection still.

Sad but true. I don't remember much of season 3...
Everything up to, and including the animated movie was childhood gold. After that I kinda moved to G.I Joe I suppose..
This game makes me feel like I did with Mortal Kombat 9. Sound weird, I know. But hear me out:
I played all the MK arcade games until the transition to 3D, aka MK4. After that, it just wasn't the same. MK9 however, was 1 big nostalgia trip.
It took me back to the oldskool MK days.

Seeing this game in action, looking like the cartoon I grew up with, gives me that exact same nostalgic feeling MK9 did a few years back. Even since the PS2 era, I was jonesing for a proper G1 game.
Sure, Armada was cool with the minicons and all that. Yeah FoC and WfC kinda looked like G1 (and were great games), but the still failed to tickle my G1 bone.
I'm REALLY looking forward for this one!!
I'm still dreaming of a true fighting game with G1 Transformers, with Guilty Gear type graphics, it would be game of the forever for me!
Not bad, but I definitely like the faster tempo that the Animated Movie & T:A theme songs offered.

Stunticons were pre-movie, thus season 2 max. They were intruduced alongside the Airialbots.
My cousin had Trypticon, I had Metroplex. And I too have the dvd sitting on a shelf.
Ah yes, Metroplex was the Autobot ''base'' ofcourse!
Sometimes I wish I had kept all my old toys, I would not be ashamed to set them in my living room right now.

Makes me wonder if the use of the matrix at the end of "The Return of Optimus Prime" was supposed to have fixed his mind

There is shooting
It's mainly a brawler, but there are ranged weapons. There are tons of sub-weapons to be found as random loot or crafted. Some weapons like missile launchers and laser canons have more limited ammo but do more damage, while the rifles have much more ammo allowing for quite a bit of range combat from the looks of things.
There are a mix of encounter scenarios too. Flying enemies and those stationed on rooftops will require either aerial attacks or climbing to the top of the buildings to take them out if you want to rely on melee, but they can be shot from a distance on the ground with range weapons too. Characters like Sideswipe and Wheeljack also have ranged attacks as part of their combos, and you can shoot from vehicle form as well.
One of the videos also shows that in the second chapter, there's a turret shooting sequence where you have to take down waves of Insecticons approaching a platform using a rapid fire turret, and the wave patterns are like arcade rail shooters.
I remember this song cranking up the first time I saw this movie as a kid and losing my fucking mind. The whole movie was so so great and I can't wait to force it upon my kids and have them rather be doing anything else.
Seems that the only way to get a deal on the key is via traders.

Shockwave's never been as big a deal as it's pretty hard to mistake his gun mode for a real gun, whereas megatron's walther mode could be. Shocky still got a load of plane/tank alts of late though lol

Which coincidentally enough, is sitting in tank mode on top of my PS4 right now. I've got to reassemble my shelves after getting CW Defensor...
On topic, CW Megatron is my favorite rendition of the character ever so this is great.
Keep this in mind that the changes in voice is also a combination of new voice actors replacing those who died or retired, and many of the original voice actors being 30 years older. Frank Welker is approaching 70.
And yes, Gregg Berger is playing Grimlock.

I had Shockwave when I was a kid. The muzzle was a slide-on that went over Shocky's arms whil in gun mode.
Lost it, never to be found again.
