Yes

That's still one of our good points at least.

Kap was unable to see open receivers for most of the game, Boldin and Smith are both totally frustrated with him, the problem lies with Kap, not anyone else. The ol is shit, but it's not like there were zero opportunities to move the chain, Kap was just a complete failure the last three games, he sees a tenth of the field and locks into receivers, he doesn't have a quick release to make plays, not often than not he has to cock his arm back to make any kind of throw.
The niners need to draft a QB because this silly experiment is over.

There were no open receivers. I got a great chuckle out of how Smith and Boldin were all acting frustrated because they were totally covered and he didn't give them a chance to make the play. He used to put it on a line to their back-shoulder or loft it up for them to go make a play on but he was obviously instructed to take zero chances. Take the gun away from the gunslinger and that is what you have.

Yes, there were chances to move the team but this is what happens when you have ZERO TRUST in your offensive line and receivers. When the baseline becomes that you can't step into a throw and have to move immediately after taking a 3 step drop then you can't blame the QB for being skittish when, on the rare occasion, he does get time. My dad was saying he saw this before with Jim Plunkett back in the 1970s - the offensive line was just sooooooo bad that he got killed and lost all trust and confidence. Then he moved to Oakland with a good line and the rest is history.

I also think this "training" with Warner has fucked him up as well. He short armed a throw last week to the rare open receiver (Smith) that was intercepted. Say what you want about Kaep but how often does he underthrow a receiver when he can step into a throw? That never happened in previous years.

What has BoB done that would place him top 10? I am not saying he is average or bad, just that he is in the "needs more data" category.

Getting rid of Fitzmagic looks pretty terrible right now.

His indecisiveness at selecting the quarterback position puts him amongst the best in the league.

He should have stuck with Fitzmagic (who went to Harvard by the way.) Hoyer seems like a big downgrade to Fitz and he had to know that Mallet was never going to be the answer, at best an interim QB while they look for the next one.

Edit. To be clear I meant stick with Fitz as an interim QB.

how could you not place BOB in your top 10? have you not seen hard knocks?!!?!?!

Blasting Rick Ross at practices doesn't really equal wins where it matters, lol

Yeah, I admit looking back Fitzharvard was the best option.

Is that all you got against him?

You can't change horses in mid apocalypse. Jets should keep Fitzmagic, Dolphins should keep Philbin. Like Bradford, both of them just need more time to adjust. Fitzmagic is on a new team and was suddenly thrust into the starting role. Needs more time. Philbin just got the best defensive player in the history of the NFL last year. He's got to have time to adjust his defensive schemes to work around Suh. With Suh's established work ethic and Philbin's football smarts, it's only a matter of time before the Dolphins live up to their potential. Needs more time.

IT's the league's insistence on kissing the ass of any player or coach even remotely related to Belichick.

Unfortunately for them it's much harder to win when you're not cheating your ass off so they are exposed pretty quickly.

Hoyer/Mallett/Hoyer

Your right lets trade for one of those quality qb's that's readily available. He did make a mistake trusting them to begin with but luckily he is human and seems smart enough to try and correct that when the chance arrives.

You know the defense is made worse (not only because) the qb thing ez.

Panthers fans for years have been lamenting not getting Hue Jackson as OC when we had the chance, and while Shula is a C- at best, it's hard to criticize when you look at the playmakers he has to work with. It's easy for Jackson to look like a genius when he calls "throw it up to AJ" while Shula basically has to manufacture offense with average to below average talent (and that's being generous) besides the QB position. He does call some boneheaded plays in the redzone and "bubble screen to Bersin" needs to ripped from the playbook and lit on fire, but as far as compared to Jackson, it's an unfair thing to do.

Sooooo weren´t you the guy that was so happy in the off season that his team finally had a legit QB?
And now you project your misery onto others? :-P

I am super nice and friendly during the off season. But during the season all division rivals can, with all due respect, eat a dick sandwich in which the role of the bread is also played by dicks.

So the smart thing is to throw Hoyer under the bus after a couple quarters, then throw Mallett under the bus a couple weeks later and dust off the guy he already discarded?

That's not smart, that's weak.

Which is a situation created by Bill O'Brien

Agreed but all in all still shows more potential than most coaches in the league.

Re: Suh, here's a friendly reminder from yesterday on how he's playing.

Great effort from start to finish:

Shows pure focus and determination to disrupt the path of the run play taking on the initial double team. You can see the drive and love of the game from that effort. But what do I know about his assignment or the scheme? Maybe he's just meant to occupy them. Fair enough...he's able to separate (mainly because #90 is able to knock down the lineman he's engaged with) and now he's got a clear path to make the tackle on the ballcarrier and he's just...not tackling him. Okay, maybe the running back made a pretty shifty move to avoid Suh and he just couldnt get solid enough footing to make a real attempt. At least he's trying to pursue the ballcarrier after whiffing on the tackle. Oh..he's.... jogging. Hmm...there's that linebacker who was on the other side of the field reaching the site of the tackle before he does.

Not quite Haynesworth but pretty damn good.
