Transformers: Devastation |OT| Rising in Disguise

My son and I are super excited for this! Anyone confirm it has multiple save slots?

also, love the MASK discussion a few pages back.

I don't think it has multiple save slots from what I played :X

Bosses hit real hard if you're not careful.

Tried challenge #2 with base weapons and no skills bought. Addicting as hell.

Got to Devastator in the challenge, but could not take him down. Didn't want to spam heals.

Never really played a Platinum Game hardcore, but this makes me want to.

Why? Surely Activision would have faith in this right? It's a badass game

Could be related to why it is a $50 game... they are not looking at it as a AAA title, yet it will likely (hopefully) surpass their expectations.

This will definitely be the next game I buy... without a doubt. Watching the AngryCentaurGaming review, everything looks fantastic, including the gear management systems. I absolutely want this game! I have purchased all the "good" Transformers games since the PS2 days.

Still the absolute king:

Thinking about it... I could see Platinum considering their game the spiritual successor to this... they have a lot in common, other than the PS2 game being open world.

In both games you:

- use both melee and ranged attacks
- Manage Skills
- Manage Weapons
- Have a small number of autobots to select from
- return to the Arc to manage your loadouts

This game was truly amazing. I want a HD port of this above anything else!

It's an absolute sin that I've owned Vanquish for years and never finished it... isn't it...

I played the demo only. Thinking " I should buy it some day". Never did.
Never played Bayonetta too.....

If you want to talk about Sins, I'm going to gamer hell the moment I croak.

Platinum'd Vanquish. One of my favorite games I've ever played (and mastered). That game as THE SHIT!

Bayo is excellent as well.

No embargo.

Review copies were simply not sent out.

If I'm not mistaken.

Correct I was contacted and informed days ago, before I started hunting for a retail source, that a hold and been put on them.
I think there are only 2 reviews mine and some little website.

Also I want Decepticon DLC Missions. I would love to flash between both in an expansion. Though...that might not work so well now that I think about it.

Hang on. Hang on. This is a bit of a mesh of Vanquish and Bayo? With Transformers? HANG. ON.

Well, it has Witch Time and Panther Form, parry, and shooting mechanics (there even seems to be a slow-mo when you're aiming your gun as I've seen in that twitch above, but not sure if it's automatic or if you need special requirements met). I think there's Dodge Offset too.

Activision has the Ninja Turtles IP right?

Platinum ?......

That'd be a perfect Platinum game to add 4p co-op in. Oooooh...

Eh, I'd rather have a Rocksteady TMNT. On the scale of the Arkham games, meaning budget and depth.

Plus, Rocksteady already teased us with Arkham Knight's Dual Mode which IS perfect to switch between the Turtles in combat!

Yeah, why bother with the best action devs for a TMNT game, let's get Rocksteady

Rocksteady are a Warner Bros studio aren't they? Rocksteady would be good too but if I had to choose it would be platinum

I just came here to say this as well. This simply needs to happen!

I'm also already pining for DLC for this game (even without having played it yet) if it comes in the form of things like a Decepticon campaign (assuming that isn't in the game already - I have no clue) or a new chapter (set in space perhaps) with newer post-Transformers: The Movie characters like Rodimus Prime and Kup.

Edit: in case it wasn't posted yet (I checked the last few pages), the Super Best Friends posted their video some 10 hours ago and it really made me want to buy this game asap.

No Decepticon campaign dude, agreed, hope some DLC down the line will give us more characters.

I can confirm after a few executions, that Prime's Ultimate Attack is indeed the friggin' Power Geyser

When doing the review I didn't want to spoil to much but the Synthesis video I did goes into some pretty good depth on the loot and its fantastic.

I hate to derail threads, but it would be great if to see MASK made a comeback.

Its not a derail its the same as TMNT discussion. Just good fans wanting good games brother.

Finally decided to bite but unfortunately I missed the pre-order time on the US PSN so there's no Nemesis Prime for me, gutted but it's my fault for sitting on it.

I wouldn't want a straight up action game for TMNT.
Yeah, that wouldn't work out very well at all, would it?

A Platinum take on original TMNT would be insane, especially if they contemplate keeping the 2.5D platforming style. Or even if not, they'd still do a kickass job of it, as it seems they've done with TD.

I like the debate regarding this. I may make a thread so all of us could discuss the 'TMNT would be great with what Developer' there.

Back to Devastation.

Master the Prime Time bruv.

No harm in playing this first on Normal then going through it on Hard.

This is basically how Platinum games are designed, anyway. Play on Normal to get a feel for the mechanics and then play on a higher difficulty for a real challenge once you've gotten the hang of it.

I truly couldn't care less about Transformers, but this game looks awesome and Platinum rules, so I think I'm picking it up.

Now... which system?
