PS3 version seems to be the game that will run smoother, but I got the Vita version so I can play it anywhere in the house. Are you guys getting the PS3 version or Vita version? I'm conflicted now that I see Best Buy doesn't have the Vita Lionheart edition.
Any word on a release date for trails in the sky: SC?
Hate to say it, but that's a placeholder date -- we have not yet announced an actual release date for the game, and I'm fairly certain that when we do, November 17th won't be it.
Never trust a date for one of our games unless we announce it via press release!
Sorry if the GameStop listing got your hopes up.

I noticed that Amazon UK have changed their CS release date to 26/1 now. I know these are placeholders but it definitely suggests a delay.
Can't say I'm disappointed though as I have too much to play coming out soon and definitely want to play SC first.
So this might not come out this year if Play Asia are to be believed. Got an order update that this will come out in January 2016.
Got rid of my PS3 earlier this year so got the Vita version. Imported (or will) from Canada VGP.PS3 version seems to be the game that will run smoother, but I got the Vita version so I can play it anywhere in the house.
Thanks for the heads up.Again, we haven't given a release date yet, so anything you see online is placeholder.
And as far as I'm aware, this game is still on track for a 2015 release. Granted, that could've changed sometime in the last few days... but if so, it's news to me!

When are you going to announce the date for this and SC? Both are still 2015?
Yep, XSeed said on their FB page they won't be able to do November.
What a shame, nothing I'm looking forward to for the rest of the year now.
Like he said, they're both still on track for 2015, unless he hasn't been informed.
Well, he used to say the game was to be released "this Summer", a few days before it was delayed indefinitely.
SC is in master, and Cold Steel is nearing the end of its QA cycle.
Pardon me for jumping on this like a drowning person to a liferaft, but:
SC is finally out of QA Hell? Really and for true?
I don't think it'll ever TRULY be out of QA hell -- I imagine we'll continue finding little sniggly issues long after launch, and fixing them via patch on the PC version -- but yeah, our for-reals QA process is over and the game is in master testing.
The goal is nigh!

Wait, is there a Cold Steel PC version or this in reference to something else? =O
Trails in the Sky Second Chapter.

Just to be clear, when I say the game is in master testing, I'm referring to the PSP version. PC games don't really have a "master testing" phase -- not an official one, anyway. You just release 'em when they're ready. (Or even sometimes before! But that's not something we plan on doing.)
Also, yes, I was referring to Trails SC, not Cold Steel. Cold Steel is still in QA. Trails SC is much closer to release.

Awesome news, Tom! Just put up that preorder page and you'll get what's coming to ya. ;]
Hmm I don't remember what XSEED do but a lot of companies prefer to not let people pre-order because those sales don't count towards the top sellers list, and that's important advertisement. Unless the game is AAA and it's guaranteed to stay there a while it's better to open the store page but not allow the people to pre-order. In any case, pretty sure they already have a steam sub and have been working on it for a while. .
Amazing news! Does this mean that the PSP version is closer to being able to drop between it and the PC version? (assuming nothing big pops up in the testing...shaky assumption to make I know) IIRC I think you said that at this point Xseed was going to release both versions as they were ready instead of at the same time, correct?
No, our plan is pretty much to release them simultaneously. If the two versions were worlds apart, such that releasing simultaneously would delay one of them considerably, then we probably would stagger the releases -- but fortunately, it worked out that the PSP and PC versions kind of followed the same basic path to completion, and the PC version should be ready to drop right around the same time the PSP version leaves master testing.
