does this work for you?

yes, they have a tablet version, so I can sit on my sofa and switch between CTV, CBC and TVA (yes TVA, I want to see the reaction of Mario Dumont and company)

*edit, I just discovered there is a Live Stream below mid page. Hey Peter Mansbridge

I'm guessing the CTV News and CBC News websites got you covered
Thanks all! The CBC's Canada Votes dashboard is mostly blank right now with a countdown to the livestream, but does seem to work from here. Looking forward to it.

I was at the Edmonton rally this morning. Pretty dense turnout. Waited in line for an hour just to get in.

:lol Edmontonians popping up all over the thread :) This was the Millwoods rally with Amarjeet Sohi, right? What are the prospects of him winning the riding?

Quebec has too much power over federal politics. We should start a party that represents Canada's views and values so that we can separate from that place. We'll call it the Canadian Bloc.
when Western Canada and Quebec complain about Toronto being the center of Power, it proves them right with comments like yours

Quebec produced the best Prime Ministers of all time. Laurier, St-Laurent, Trudeau and Chrétien then tomorrow a new Trudeau. (only Pearson can match them on progressiveness)

Looking at the regional breakdowns, if they seriously get to 60% in Atlantic Canada I may have to revise my estimates of how many seats they're going to win.

So what's the generally accepted narrative for why the Conservative numbers started to slide? Niqab niqab niqab?
Thing is, if you look at the polling the Tories' numbers never really went up or down during the campaign. They were at around 30% the whole way through, plus or minus a bit. They lost their ground mainly during the preceding four years, and couldn't get any of it back.

Grab some Shisha at Gitana before grabbing a beer at Dieu du Ciel and finishing with a night cap at Harricana.
oh yeah!! now you talking!

Harper never recovered from his comments about Atlantic Canada having a “a culture of defeat”

I was mocking BQ voters. I don't actually care where a party leader is from.

I wouldn;t be so sure of that yet Gutter.

Those nanos numbers are a bit scary for those of us that are hoping for a Liberal minority.

It's ironic I'm relying on the flaws of FPTP to preserve NDP seats so that the Liberals can be held to their promise of getting rid of FPTP...
Pretty much. Hoping they don't reach majority.

Wait... I am surprised I haven't seen many closet joke on Harper's "I will protect soandso" yet... am I not paying attention?

I hope NDP can retain most of their seats in Quebec to keep the Liberal in check.

I'm not expecting a majority, still, but for fun I did the math, and an exact majority (170 seats) is precisely 5 times as many seats as the Liberals won in the previous election. Likewise, if this 39ish figure is right, Trudeau will have more than doubled the Liberals' popular vote from the previous election.

Go for it, you have all my support! :D

Oh! Great political satire then!

Trudeau's job when chosen as leader was to move the Liberals out of 3rd place and at the least as Official Opposition....

Trudeau will probably make history in about 24 hours which is insane. The Liberals will be the first party to go from 3rd place to a minority in Canada ever.

The old OT was called Canada Poligaf - The Wrath of Harperland. What should the new one be called?

I'm thinking Canada Poligaf - Nice Hairdeu.

I wish we had a liberal leader from the west. Its so sad that election results still have an east vs west bias.

Trudeau is a sort of unofficial BCian. He spent a significant part of his education and professional career in BC.
hence the weed legalization platform

At no point in canadian history has a 3rd place party ever won the following election... let alone get a majority.

So as a US citizen, which party is CanadaGAF hoping wins?

ABC - Anyone but Conservative. I personally voted NDP.

My ideal outcome is either an NDP Government backed by the Liberals or a Liberal Government backed by the NDP. In general, that's the ideal combo and historically is the one which gave us Healthcare

Also this will be the first election since 1993 were a party got a majority in the previous election and lost the next election.

I voted Green, since they're the only party that's pushing for a Guaranteed Income Supplement. I'm in Edmonton-Whitemud (or was it Riverbend?) so it's pretty much a lock for the CPC.

Yup. Although, I would point out that we probably won't see a total collapse of the right-wing vote this time around...

I'm thinking Canada Poligaf - Our Long National Nightmare Is Over... but that's a little hyperbolic :P

the sad part is that French talk radio and French language television have grilled him for making mistakes when he speaks French

it's not his fault though, his mom spoke English, his dad spoke both.

98.5's Benoit Dutrizac never held any punches to make fun of Trudeau when he speaks French. Always making fun of him.

Plus when Trudeau showed up on Tout Le Monde en Parle, they grilled him about what language he speaks to his children and that nonesense. Trudeau said that his wife Sophie is a francophone and that they speak French with their kids.

When it comes to nationalists, you always have to prove to be "good enough" for them to accept you

I'm sure no francophone quebecer was ever made fun of for his mistakes in english however.

did you watch that episode of Tout le Monde en Parle? Did you find those questions about "authenticity" to be acceptable?

oh yeah, Thomas Mulcair. Mulcair made fun of Jean Chrétien's English in the House of Commons. Mulcair is a dick for making fun of Chrétien's accent

Trivia, that's actually not true (the majority part is), depending on how you define "win", I guess. The Conservatives came third in 1921, behind the Liberals and the upstart Progressive Party, and then won the most seats in the 1925 election. They didn't end up taking office immediately, of course, hence the whole King-Byng affair.

So as a US citizen, which party is CanadaGAF hoping wins?
Liberal. I'm ancestrally Liberal, of course (my maternal grandfather was a cabinet minister in Gerald Regan's provincial government in 1970s Nova Scotia, and my dad was president of the PEI Liberals for a while).
