Star Wars: The Force Awakens Final Trailer

Actually the thing that throws off my timeline kind of is the whole Lupita's character dialogue.

I have a feeling that occurs on forest planet and is directed towards Finn but Rey is the one revealed at the end.

Im tryiing not to read too much into the pacing of the trailers, they turn to Finn in this one with the words "Jedi" but we also have Lupita apparently talking to Rey and starting/bookending it with taking the force in.

The imagery of the poster is fooling aswell, on the one sense you have very clearly Finn with a lightsaber, but he doesnt "appear" to know how to use it, and we have a load of imagery of Rey being conflicted and juxtaposed to Kylo.

I mean its possible both Finn AND Rey are force sensitive, but would that be overload?

It's a red herring that Finn is "The" Jedi, when it is Rey... but I believe they are both force sensitive, just Rey is more powerful

Poe Dameron is the galaxies one and only saviour

If nothing else the trailers tell us this

Come on guys. Lets leave the spoiler tags and spoilers out of this thread please. If anyone REALLY wants to be spoiled there is literally a spoiler thread for this.

But there are jedi? I guess it comes down to what is a Sith and what is Jedi, Luke is a Jedi, thats all we know.

I cant see how, unless theres some shenanigans where one character has been a "secretly trained jedi" any of the main characters can go from nothing to jedi in one film, its rediculous to me.
Here's another dumb theory to throw in the garbage: I think Luke has been busy in the past thirty years, and no one knows it. He's got a small posse of Jedi he's trained, and he's kept them in isolation for, uh, reasons. It's kinda hard for me to swallow the notion that Luke has been completely inconsequential since he threw down the gauntlet and became a true Jedi.

But, hey, maybe he just fucked off for a few decades and has been masturbating in a cave this whole time. Who can say?

I am honestly thinking Finn is a smokescreen at this point for alot of the Jedi talk in the trailer. He will grt some of it but alot of it imo will be for Rey

Im interested in what Oscar Isaac roll is in this

I laughed.

I love that duel

Me too! Always did. But I understand why that part, and many other parts in the PT, are unnecessary and ridiculous.

But people still complaining about it a decade later (when we're less than two months away from a very promising looking sequel trilogy) need to let it die. It's over. Let it die FFS.

I love the fact I dont know, I legitimately have no idea what Luke im going to see, the only thing I know from the EW articles is that there are consequences, the world doesnt end on a happy note after Jedi, it keeps on going and the weight of what happened will be carried with Luke. How he responds to that weight, no idea, but we do know from this trailer that the Jedi are a myth, or at least thats the impression we are meant to have, so Luke didnt become a celebrity like he did in alot of EU fanfiction, he probably also never started a school or temple.

I dont know what version of Luke I want to see, part of me wants a Qui'Gon/Obi Wan master, part of me wants him to actually be a bit fucked up.

So theres this old quote from George Lucas from the Force Unleashed days, he was being questionned about a story arc where the apprentice, who blinded his master when he turned to the dark side, went to seek him out some years later. They asked George "Wouldnt the master see him coming?" and George replied "The force is like a muscle, if you dont use it, it atrophies"

Its entirely possible Lukes connection to the force might have atrophied, might be gone entirely, it would explain why all of this is happening and he doesnt appear to be able to stop it.

Another theory is he IS trying to stop it, and is lurking in the shadows in this film, waiting for the right time.

The only problem I had was attack of the clones between anakin and dooku when the camera is close up to their faces and they're not really moving while fighting

No you didn't. Nobody has a clue what that spoiler is about unless they click it to reveal it.

Got to the spoiler thread if you're wanting to post spoilers.

Seriously?? How am I supposed to describe what is tagged without spoiling it? There are 70 pages of spoiler tagged discussion here and you're singling out my one response?

Am I supposed to drag the people asking questions into a different thread?

If someone posts a question and I reply with something it spoilers, it is very clearly a reply to their question. If someone genuinely wants to know, they can click it. I'm not just posting random spoilers for fun nor is anyone else here.

Pretty cool I guess not that into Star Wars so it didn't reach me like I thought it would. I don't see this beating avengers.

There have been shots of a
new Tie with a gun battery/turret underneath.

A toy advertisement spoiled it.

Why are you spoiler-tagging something that we saw in action in the previous trailer?

How much this makes is largely irrelevant, it is going to make so much money that it guarantees the franchise continues and continues healthily, beyond that I really cant see the issue.

Franchise continues + good films is perfect

This is my takeaway and I'm no trying to attack you. I think when people ask questions in their post the dont really want an answer. They are just thinking out loud. I wasn't a fan of people starting to spoiler tag stuff earlier in the thread because it just invites that sort of talk and someone is liable to just come in and say something spoiler without tagging it.

Like this: "Spoiler regarding Isaac's character"

Yea the films are going to make an insane amount of money. The real money though is coming from the merch. All the toys and products they are going to sell before, during, and after this movie launches.

Well there's still time for Colin Trevorrow to be replaced with a good director, so that is still possible.

Its hard to worry about that stuff at the moment, if this films good then I worry for Rain personally, having to deal with the middle film in a trilogy on the back of the first good film since the 70's with all the hype.

But thats a convo for 6months
