Strange way to say you want Lawrence Holland back for a revival of the X-Wing series. Maybe the only game series that got the space fighting right.

Unfortunately those were a bit before my time. Rouge Squadron hit when I was a wee lad and was my Star Wars flight game of choice. Rouge Leader is just so good.

Sorry.

But yeah, great series. Hope it gets a revive soon.

But yeah, thankfully, with Lucas's worst ideas thrown out, no one will ever get any creepy vibes off of Indy no-

JEESUS FUCK

You never saw Temple of Doom? You should get on that.

Trailer got me thinking, is there another movie franchise with such a widely recongisable and consistently high quality musical score as the Star Wars films? Hell, Williams was arguably the best things about the prequels (Duel of the Fates/Battle of the Heroes)

Lord of the Rings, not counting the Hobbit films. The Shire theme is timeless. Howard Shore was absolutely perfect on that OST. Full disclosure, I might be biased as the music of LOTR and how it and the original story relate to Wagner's Ring Cycle was the subject of my 30 page capstone paper in undergrad.

Luke became Sith for reasons, take one of the sons of Solo and try to rebuild the Empire. That's the reason Kylo Ren has the mask of Vader, it was a present from Luke.
Somebody buy this?

This. LOTR scores are masterful. The Ring theme that plays at the start of each film when the title text fades in is chilling every time.

What kind of fuckery is going on in this picture?

Wedge looks like the only thing he's ready to pilot is the driver's seat of the circus clown car.

This reads like you missed the play on the common misspelling of Rogue as altered in the title. But I'm not positive...

Pretty sure people don't know what really happened with the empire, other than possibly the emperor and Vader having died, and Vader was probably not even known publicly.

So Kylo thinks Vader never killed the emperor, that both were killed by Luke, and that he wants to continue whatever Vader was doing.

The thing is, I feel this movie will retcon that Vader had some secret plan we never heard of beyond serving the emperor.

What if they're merely developing a bit further Vader's "let's bring order to the galaxy" ideal?

Vader would have had a plan to supplant the Emperor. He was trying to get Luke to join him to over throw the Emperor throughout ESB and ROTJ. It's not so far fetched.

Yeah everything the originals showed regarding Vader's interactions with Luke implied that Vader's ultimate vision was to overthrow Palpatine and take control of the Empire himself.

Plus, that's just the Sith way right? Rule of Two means Master and Apprentice and it's just the way of the Sith for the apprentice to scheme up ways to betray the master.

It would be more surprising if the sequel trilogy retconned Vader into wanting to forever be Sheev's cyborg attackdog.

Do we know the name of the ice planet and whether or not they go there before or after the forest planet? Both look like they have major battles. Also assuming that temple looking place with the podracer flags is on the forest planet.

The Ice planet might be Starkiller base. That's only a guess based on the Poster and what was seen in the trailer.

Don't know about the rest, Yavin 4 maybe?

don't forget a Cloud City/Mos Eisley/exotic place full of aliens, scoundrels, and bounty hunters. A Space Pirate Palace, b.

Rian Johnson has his work cut out for him, they're using all the geographic archetypes and environments in the first movie.
