Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

Fuck the police. Even if I'll play on PS4 I preordered the PC version. I'll check if there are hints for unnannounced characters for myself.

Via Twitter. 18 characters, 12 stages and 3 costumes.

I find the 12 stages to be more surprising, to be honest.
Bustling Side Street
Union Station
Forgotten Waterfall
Underground Arena
City in Chaos
Hillside Plaza
Kanzuki Estate
----
Rashid's desert stage
Mika's wrestling ring stage
Necalli's stage
Ryu's stage
Bison's stage

Pretty much adds up to 12 (excluding Training stage)

Not to repeat myself again but I believe that Ryu's stage is the same as Karin's. The old temple + statue you see in his art is on the far left side of the Kanzuki Estate. It would somewhat suit him as well, being in Japan and all.

Not that I wouldn't be very happy with 12 stages though, especially if they also have weather and time of day variations. I had almost accepted the fact we'd only get 8-10, excluding the training stage.

Dalhsim, Sagat, Boxer, and Juri.

Dhalsim, Zen, Sub-boss (Juri), Boss (Urien) would be my guess, assuming this wasn't speculation on your part.

So if you look at the filenames it would indicate that's the file for the VS screen and not an actual slot on the select menu. My guess would be the game is launching with 2 unplayable boss characters

Easing people into the DLC character roll out with post-release boss unlocks definitely helps maintain hype/interest. Would be shocked if that's not how they approach it.

Is there additional proof of the 18 character thing posted anywhere else?

Not that I don't think it's plausible, but I don't exactly immediately believe a weird twitter account with a single post that popped out of nowhere.

Siliconera said Alex and Urien are in the game. Zen and Dhalsim were on the leak list that also had Gief, Mika, Karin, Laura and Rashid.

So it's pretty likely you're right.
....why do people keep quoting a fake list that was created after the Siliconera and Ken Bogard leaks were out there as justification?

It's insane.

It's insane.

The list came before siliconera, but it was mostly based on the popularity polls and Bogard's leak. That's why they named Juri in the starting roster. Still not trust worthy.

Ah, ok.
The list preceded the Siliconera news.

It had Ken, just not Vega. Possible explanation: Vega was planned as DLC but moved into the roster to "disprove" the leak.
Real explanation: This is a fake list. Alex and Urien are not on the starting roster. Juri is incredibly unlikely.

Referring to this as a "source" is absurd.
SFV characters:

-R. Mika
-Zangief
-Sim
-Juri
-Karin
-Ken
-Urien
-Alex
-Laura
-Rashid
-Zen
-New Boss

lol at thinking Capcom would do something like this just to disprove a list on the internet, a list that the majority of SFV potential consumers wouldn't even be aware of. Really?

Yeah, they're going to spend about a million dollars a character just to make them unplayable. Makes a lot of sense there dude.

Yea, I never seen a fighting game developer do something like that.

Also just because they aren't unplayable at launch doesn't mean they won't be down the road. Piss off.

Definitely the default assumption, with Akuma being penciled in as #17 by a lot of people (myself included) due to tradition.

Yea, Akuma makes sense too. I'm just going off that Ingrid tweet from a few months ago. I think she'll be back in some capacity.
