Still looks like shit. Fucking hot topic ass Joker made by focus group or something. Like, made by people who weren't fans of Joker until they saw Heath's.

Origins has a lot of great design. I hope it carries over to the suicide squad game.

I wouldn't get too upset over his sweats. It's painfully obvious by the set pictures that these characters don't wear a "costume" they wear different clothing, like real people.

Also that talk about katana's* sword makes me happy. My fear is they'll always try to downplay magic but it looks like they're going full throttle.

Tbh that's the best looking comic book empire cover I've seen, they tend to be over photoshopped or awkward looking trash

The colors pop on this one.
 
IMO It looks bad because it is too colorful. In the actual movie the tone is gonna be dark and the colors will not pop as much as they do in this cover so it should look better in the movie itself.
 
Eh this promo looks ok and I'm sure that's all this really is. We've seen Leto in action already as Joker and it doesn't look bad at all.
 
Perhaps the best part about Letos Joker is how much controversy it stirs up. So much crow eating when this movie is out and he steals the show.

These Arkham shots look fantastic.
 
Yeah the Arkham stuff looks appropriately creepy. I feel like going "gritty" is literally the only way you can approach anything set in that place

You gotta remember that this is a Joker that has seen better days. We know there are flashbacks when he wears a suit and lacks tatoos and all that. In the current timeline he's am Arkham inmate beaten to death by BatBEAST, in a low crime ridden underworls with no glamour at all. That's something I like about the conceptual treatment of the DCEU. The villains are NOT supposed to have well designed fitting COSTUMES, they look like trash, because they are trash. For great looking villains look forward to Wonder Woman's Circe or Ares, I bet they'll look amazing.
 
Honestly don't care what he looks like.

My one worry (not really spoilers but speculation):
Just please, please don't end up being a Robin.
 
Not liking the look but it kinda needed to be radically different to stand alongside the other interpretations of The Joker. Hope he can pull it off acting wise because that was what saved Ledger.

Not a big comic fan but always liked the different variations of the Joker. Here he reminds me of how Billy Idol might look in an alternate universe.
 
I fucking love it. It's a different interpretation and I'm ok with that. It's not like we can judge any acting from a still photo. Even there it looks like a Joker that's breaking out of Arkham, and not the more classic, silver-suited Joker we've seen with Harley Quinn in his kickass car.
 
I guess they felt the need to be very different from the tdk joker.

Im not a fan but maybe it will be fine in action and context.

Nobody who is saying he looks dumb (Which is the main criticism of Leto so far.) is going to have to eat crow. He could give the most amazing performance in film history and he's still going to look really, really dumb.
