Sure, but we're not talking about the original trilogy at all.

We're talking about the fact that opinions on the prequels tend towards the hyperbolic.

They're bad movies. Just like the dozens of bad movies that come out every year.

Nothing more, nothing less.

They don't cause cancer, they aren't Harbingers of the Apocalypse, they aren't equivalent to sticking your eyes with pencils.

Here's the thing though; The prequels are compared to the OT, so it's pretty hard to discuss the PT without discussing the OT. Further, part of the reason the opinions on the PT are so hyperbolic is because the OT contained such great films, and the PT jettisoned just about everything that made the OT films endearing and entertaining.

I'm still very curious about the most recent trailer music. I like it but it still just doesnt sound like Williams regular style.

But seriously no way it's permanent.

For your own good: stay way from any threads that deal with the topic of racism in any way, shape or form.

Solid advice for staying afloat on neogaf. Just dont even participate because no matter what your opinion is, the odds of being banned shoot through the roof. Mods get itchy trigger fingers in those threads.

Check out Brothers Bloom, too. It's pretty different from Brick. Way more fun.

And it's alright, Dook. I got you.

I'm looking forward to seeing Brothers Bloom. I'm half way through Brick. I get it, it's a film noir in a high school setting. It's kind of hard to take seriously because of the high school setting.

It's definitely jarring. Either the artificiality of it works or it doesn't, I think. It worked for me pretty much instantly, though.

Sorry, I just laughed my ass off when the mom brings them corn flakes and a cookie. People had to laugh at that in the theater, right? You are supposed to laugh at that, right?

The exageration regarding the prequels is downright embarrasing.

Jeez...
What exaggeration? I'm a huge Star Wars fan and the prequels are some of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Like, I saw all of them opening night and thought about walking out of the first 2.

I like the back half of Looper. It's not like it comes out of nowhere; it's heavily telegraphed earlier in the movie. Makes me excited to see Johnson tackle Force powers.
