If you have Instant-On enabled on your Xbone it shoulda downloaded the patch for you a few days before the game came out and your game file size would have been 54.6 gigs i believe. Thus enabling you to play as soon as the time gate was lifted.

Yes, If you preloaded the game the MP patch was made available about a week later, I think it was 9GB. I was playing at 12:02 last night.

Hmm I turned it off over the weekend to try to fix the achievement bug I have been dealing with (achievements don't pop up on screen).
I was playing a lot of Forza last night and noticed the system acting like it was downloading something (stuttering sometimes, seen that before when downloading and still playing)
Guess I will see when I get home.
Oh cool, I didn't preload till Friday. Maybe I am good to go.
What's your verdict?

Been trying to get a co op game with my friend going for the last...hour and a half, say. I played Halo 5 for about 20 minutes this morning btw so...it definetley works for me. Anyhoo.
In co-op I get "Error retrieving data center connection quality information. Please try again later". My NAT is Open for XBL, it has port forwarding and all the bells and whistles and my Xbox is on a wired connection...and I have no problem with any other game or app on PC/PS4/Phone etc. Just Halo 5.
When I try to join my friend, rather than host, we get the same error. I have done hard resets on the router and Xbox twice each and no luck yet.
I just want to play a bit of co-op with my friend...

Yeah, theyre pretty huge. Conversely, the text labels for actions like picking up a new weapon, pick up intel, etc. are really tiny.

The GT guys were debating whether or not Halo 5 would top Overwatch in Twitch viewing figures. Currently the viewing figures for Overwatch are higher than Halo 5 has been all day, and the beta doesn't seem to have even opened yet...

Heroic seems even easier than Halo 4, but I'm trying to just rush through the campaign so I can put it on the back burner until my Legendary run.

Intel and side chatter are easy to find. Skulls we didn't really look for, didn't find any.
It's okay. Legendary was frustrating as fuck at certain repeating parts. In terms of pure gameplay, it's probably the best one yet, but even as someone who has followed Halo EU, the narrative was kind of meh. I mean, its a good story on paper, but the game never made me feel invested in the plots.

The aim magnetism is very much reduced from H4.
Well if the beta isn't open yet then it might make sense that more people would be watching rather than playing, where the opposite would be true for Halo. But Twitch numbers largely mean nothing.

Last night at 9:30 PM I was playing AC Syndicate and went "Oh shit it's after 9, I can play Halo 5 now!" The game started right up, patch was already downloaded.
Depends on largely what's important to you. The price is $500 due to being bundled with the LE and being a LE console along with a 1TB HDD. If that's not important just grab any $350 bundle and the game.

EDIT: I'd imagine other retailers won't have as a good of a bundle, but definitely comparable deals in the $300 to $350 range.

That's a good point that I didn't really consider. I'd probably be better off with any bundle that comes with XBL cards or something. The controller is just the standard one with a fancy paint job right?
Most of the complaints I've seen are issues related to the NXE beta and an install issue here or there. Aside from that flawless.
