I'm thinking the exact same thing, I quite like what you suggested or just "Becoming Human".I love sci-fi stuff like this, day one for me. Title is bad though, why not just "become human" and drop Detroit from it. I mean Detroit as name recognition will NOT help you sell copies I don't think.
Good graphics. Looks corny tho hehe.
Why Detroit tho?
I want the male CG model they used for Ethan and NomNom Jayden to be reused for this game. Maybe as male sexbots.
WAT?
Also, don't use Detroit if it's not an accurate representation of the city because people are not going to be happy about it. Just set it elsewhere you are familiar with, Cage.
Is this the first QD game that is visually worse than whatever tech demo they did (sorcerer)? It looks pretty good visually but I was almost expecting sorcerer level character models![]()
You showing a picture of some white people in Detroit has absolutely nothing to do with what I was talking about. I never said that white people didn't exist in Detroit or that it was hard to find white people in Detroit. What I've been saying is that it's sad that even in a city where the vast majority of the population is black that we can't even have a game that tries to match the demographics of the city.
Looks absolutely beautiful, it's nice they went with Kara as well, after so many people asked for it.
But yeah, the title is fucking atrocious, they need to rename it.
Coming next year, as is Heavy Rain, to both EU and NAAny word of beyond coming to ps4?
No, Quantic Dream games are standaloneWait is this a sequel? I've never played Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls before.
I'm sure that could be a justification and it would be a very boring/disappointing one. I'm tired of seeing the same excuses for whitewashing settings in entertainment.Maybe gentrification created by the android boom will be a theme in thethe game?
wait what?

One thing to remember is that Dark Sorceror was placed inside a single movie studio set piece area. Just a boxed room. There were only 3 models needing to be on screen so they were able to pour everything they had into a tiny room.
This game is set in Detroit. With tons of character models all over the place and weather and all other kind of stuff. The demand that is needed in the Detroit presentation is FAR more then that of Dark Sorceror. Really the only thing better I see in Dark Sorceror model is the wrinkles, but thats due to him being an old man and actually having wrinkles.
Well first - you can leave before anything happens, and it's not like it's not suspicious from the onset what might happen. Also, at no point does that scene escalate into an actual rape, as you kick their asses before anything can happen. Nothing like what's in Irreversible, or even that GoT episode. And what the heck is the problem with showing shower scenes? That's the kind of thing that's been a cinema staple since forever. It's there to make you closer to a character, as you see them when they're exposed and vulnerable. Setup so that you can feel for them later when something happens to them.

Is this going to be open world?
I disagree. I think the eyes look better on at least some characters in this trailer - notably Kara and the guy that looks aside at 2:18 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL2gW7hmXu4&feature=youtu.be&t=2m18s He's probably my favorite looking character in the trailer, and I almost can't believe that some random passerby characters will have that level of fidelity. So maybe he'll have a more major role.Best graphics I've seen to date, no question about it. There is one major nitpick though, the eyes just don't look right at all. They need to borrow some of the tech from the shadow fall engine to make the eyes look realistic.
It looks really good but to me it somehow seems off when compared to until dawn.
Yeah, they decided to keep it more tactful, and I really see no problem with what was actually in the game - not to mention the whole scene is completely and easily avoidable.People dug through the Audio files and found an actual rape ending to that scene, thankfully it never made it in the game..but the main character being raped was a QTE failure outcome.

Yeah, I think that's the case. Funny enough did Deus Ex do the same thing with Detroit, just that they produced augmentations and not androids. So is the idea behind using "Detroit" that androids are the new automobiles in some way? LIke the city revitalized itself by becoming the epicenter for android assembly?

'Become human' is just the tagline. Unfortunately it was placed right below the title in the trailer so people think it's a subtitle.
I mean in some weird way when you think about it calling your game Detroit is some ballsy ass ballsy shit i can only appreciate. Yeah the title is really awkward and weird but at the same time the concept behind it kind of makes sense and is certainly interesting. Its one of those things that makes you wonder how the city of Detroit would actually embrace this lol.

If you're thinking about the scene that I'm thinking of from HR (the dream), that never really looked like an attempted rape. It was a murder, and in fact iirc it always ends with a murder, in a very non-sexual way. But I guess it's still a similar thing of showing an attack on someone while they're vulnerable. I never said Cage's one to go for subtlety. He'd beat you over the head with attempts to make sure you feel for the characters, any cliche way he can think of.I'd have no problem if it wasn't his go-to move for "drama" for women. With the focus being on "can androids be human?" , I think we're surely to see a rape scene or 2 in this game too, his 3rd game in a row with the female protagonist fighting off rape. A "soulless thing" wouldn't fear rape, so it'll be used to show how human she is to the audience/other characters.
