Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Where the hell does the BR spawn on the Blue/Yellow breakout map?

80

Once you go up the ramp all the way on the right it's sitting at the top of that 'tower'. You can see the BR resting in that pic.

So I'm on mission 3. Fighting waves of bullet sponges trying to get a big door open to proceed. I saw a room with a rocket launcher in it, went to the roof, busted through a vent and down into the room... and I can't get back out :lol

No doors open, no windows break, vent in the roof is too high to clamber out of. Am I just real dumband missing a double jump button or something?
Yes.

btw my Amazon pre-order didn't send me an email with a code and didn't have an insert

Did I get fucked over on my pre-order bonuses or wut

I wish I knew. Yesterday a guy was telling his friend (in the room, not the game, so I only heard half the convo) about how he cheated on his girlfriend. Cool. I don't care.
You can't
You can only use a setting that makes you unable to talk with everyone who is not on your friend list :/

Got Onyx in Arena, lol. Works for me.

How do the Osiris/Blue Team helmets work in multiplayer? The ones with three stars next to them on the collection tab.

Doing my qualifying slayer matches. Past two I've been matched up with a team of 4 and had people on my team quit. This is pretty goddamn dumb.

Just finished swords of sanghelios and I just needed to take a minute to say how great I'm finding halo 5. This is the biggest leap forward in a halo game over it predecessor(s) since halo 2. Maybe ever. I'm loving virtually all of it, story included/especially. Awesome job 343.

ditto.

You're shooting them wrong.

How do I mute everyone in the lobby, I don't need to hear the racist pricks, it's really annoying

Once you're in the game you can hold the back button and press X to mute everyone, but there's no way to do it by default for everyone, or to do it from the lobby as far a I know. :(

I think 343 doesn't want people to just mute everyone all the time because eSports. :(

What control scheme are you guys using? I keep going back and fourth between the new Halo 5 controls and Halo 4 controls. Trying to find which one works best, I'm thinking the new one.

Bumper Jumper
6 Sensitivity
Vibration Off

Sensitivity would be 4 like always, but it's slow in this game for some reason.

Bumper jumper even with aiming on the right stick? I know that's how its been with every other halo, but it just feels weird/different to me in Halo 5 to play like that. Especially with how fast paced it is.

I tried bumper jumper but felt like I was behind other people who had their zoom easily on the left trigger. There's just too much going on with the controls honestly.

There is a panel you need to activate next to the door. Red button.

sure, when I go to play halo shits offline, as soon as I can't play the servers go back up. first my copy is late, then this. it's not meant to be folks
*jumps out window*

Mhm? I'm wrecking with the Storm Rifle in MP

Well, I should have prefaced that with literally all of the autos are useless for me. I can dump an entire AR clip into someone and they won't die, meanwhile I get shredded cross map by one. I don't understand.

Just finished the campaign on heroic. Definitely not as bad as most are making it out to be. It's just that it's basically plot-point A straight to plot-point B without much fluctuation. It was pretty much Halo 2 in every way. Fun levels, nothing HUGE happening with the story, alternating lead characters, and it acted mostly as a bridge from the 1st to the 3rd installment in the trilogy.
It even ended in pretty much the same exact way.

My biggest complaint is playing as Team Osiris for a majority of the game. And by that I mean Locke. I'm not saying the story would have been guaranteed to be better if you played as Blue Team the whole way, but just knowing you're playing as Chief, a character I'm wholly invested in, changes how I feel while I'm playing any given story. In my mind, it's the same with Halo 3's co-op in some respect. You have Chief, Arbiter, and two random Elites. If you're playing co-op, it doesn't matter who those elites are, you're just playing co-op with 2 or 3 other people. I didn't really care that I wasn't invested in Vale or Tanaka in any big way. They're basically avatars. However, it did suck to have Locke, a potentially cool character, have nothing really going on character-wise since he was the main lead.

I do feel as though 343 is taking this trilogy in a decent direction story-wise. Halo 1-3 were all about the Halos and the threat they present in the Human-Covenant war. The current trilogy to me is more about
Master Chief and Cortana
and Halo 4 presented that well. 5 presented the conflict that will come to an end (theoretically) in 6.

With where Halo 5 leaves off, Halo 6's dream team should be Chief, Arbiter, Locke, and Buck the whole way (that is if they don't plan on adding new characters from extended lore). Seriously though Buck has more personality than everyone in Team Osiris combined.
