I tried reading some of the tweets and thankfully, her explanation of the terms (trap, for example) was pretty useful, but got tired of reading those sentences and decided to come back to it later.
I still play most of my games with English subtitles, to be honest, since sometimes my listening abilities are way too basic for fast speaking, let alone someone writing that down as it is. :|
Now, calling it lack of education, speech impediment or downright saying she's dumb? That's going way too far, like, not even hiding it.

It's a string of tweets, not a manuscript submission. Why should she have been expected to consider mass market ease of consumption at the time? She was just telling a story on Twitter, probably not too concerned with whether or not people understood all of her slang or jargon especially when the Internet exists.
Honestly it's fine if there are bits people don't get right away but what is wagging fingers over syntax and grammar really going to do?

I try to type from my Vita while using Gaf and sometimes get chewed out by grammar police officers when I make typos. Its usually from someone who disagrees with you and wants to belittle your point. We can all understand what somebody is trying to say if we cared enough to want to understand.

Maybe not you specifically, but there has been a parade of people coming in with their grammar nazi badge of honor. I mean, do they read a Cormac McCarthy book and complain about punctuation? This doesn't require translation, especially with the implication that it's written in an incoherent manner. Obviously the patois isn't going to be familiar to everyone here, but the story doesn't jump around or contradict itself. Not to mention she explains a lot of the more obscure terms, and doesn't give information that the reader wouldn't have up to that point. I'd rather read this backwards and upside down than someone on the gaming side try to explain the storyline for the Kingdom Hearts series or Metal Gear Solid V.
Asking questions is one thing, being condescending is a whole different ball of wax. I'm not calling you out, just giving context to why someone might in this thread.

They are not off. Like most slang, there are multiple definitions of these words depending on how they are used and who is using them. If you went on 4chan and started asking about "traps," you'd end up with a very different result than what the woman in question was talking about.
I'm shocked that there is so much discussion here about her use of colloquial speech. I would think it shouldn't be a new idea to anyone. Why aren't we discussing whether this story was even interesting enough to be shared in the first place? In my opinion, it's really not, but it seems like the rest of the nation disagrees (it's Game of Thrones all over again).

Speech style is part of region, economic class, and ethnicity. People transfer their prejudices to it, when schools and grammar books tell you to speak their way to speak good.
I'm honestly surprised typos are still being called out. We're (presumably) all using fingers and they're imperfect. Unless the typo makes the sentence unreadable, it's not indicative of anything other than a missed key, something everyone does, and should just be ignored.
This is what I've been waiting for.
