Well that article was from 2014, when XBO got support for external drives. It's possible that things have improved since through XBO patches and external drives give better boost now, but I couldn't find any more up to date tests. TBH I was surprised to see how little affect SSD had on loading times in XBO.

Yep! I'm buying this game a month in at least. Way better experience.
What I found weirder was that cod ghosts had massive improvements using ssd when nothing else did :/

If they were to have loot/boss built in and allow access that script extenders allow and fix up the scalability, I'd fucking die.
I think every physical preorder is supposed to come with one. No idea if you actually have to preorder though. Long time coming, but I'm retired now and my birthday is right around the 10th. The game will be a gift from my wife and she knows I'll be incommunicado for a few days. How great is that? I get the game as a gift, chance to play uninterrupted, an understanding mate, no need to take off work and I only had to get old first. Oh, yeah, and my first SS check comes too.

No scaling of any kind. Enemies in zone A are level X, in B they are level Y etc. and will always be those. No matter what level player is.

Less than two weeks. It was two weeks on Tuesday.
Eh... not quite. They said they "rubberband" (That's the word they used anyways)... so there will be areas that will be too hard for you at first but enemies should level up with you once you are at the level or higher set in those areas. I got the impression though the enemies will only level up so much in each area so eventually areas will get easy once you reach above a certain level in the area.

I must have been lucky with my copy of Fallout 3 then, cause only after 150 or so hours it froze. I then cleared the cache on my 360 and I was ready to go. Barely any other issues after that. Same with Skyrim. New Vegas........ Not so much.. Good lord the countless of times it froze on me.
The way BGS has handled Fallout 4 in terms of announcing and releasing the same year, and the fact the game apparently was pretty much finished during E3 should mean that they have squashed a lot of bugs.

Well, I'm sure they want to make a good impression as well. Send a person reviewing the game a boring game case, or a huge collector case with a pipboy inside?

They only had it in their random encounters (Legion assassin squads and the like) as far as I know.
I think they described it like, areas have a minimum and maximum level range. So one area might be Levels 30-40. So yeah, if you enter at level 5 good luck. If you enter at level 35, the enemies will match you at 35.
I agree. The Elder Scrolls scaling is super lame. I like the idea of exploring being dangerous. Oh that looks like a cool area I have never been to. I'm level 20, nothing can stop me! Yeah well, explore at your own risk, because there could be a level 50 mob right around the corner! The way the wasteland should be.

I will appreciate it a lot if you score early copy and share final SPECIAL + Perk layout, with perk descriptions. Even knowing if we can see perk layout when choosing SPECIAL would go long way.

Well I finally got my money after cancelling my preorder from @ Best Buy and decided to go digital. LOOOOONG 12 days to go.

Samsung S5. Yeah I know how to quote people it just did it on its own. Before I post anything on Gaf I read threw it a couple of times because I don't want to loss my account over stupidness. It just kind of popped up after I hit post. My phone is just being weird on Gaf right now.
