Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Lol embarrassing

I am probably just more used to pc shooters where you can actually turn around and shoot at someone who is coming at you not from your super limited forward field of view.

Turning around or trying to fight someone who gets the drop on you feels bad.

Heh, thats my same story, I have 59 Days in playtime for Halo 3, and I went trough more than one account, my main was so bad that at one point I had to win more than 4 games in a row to rank up one rank.

For what it worth, I dont see myself playing Halo that much anymore, there are tons of good games to play, and I dont have as much time as before.

Yup. No matter how good a game they make it can never top the fun I had with Halo 3. It was just the right game at the right time.

A good friend I met in college because of Halo 3 had that same problem. He got stuck in the 20s and it'd take him like 6 wins in a row to rank up. Made a new account a flew straight through the 20s.

One of my favorite times was when me and him both made new accounts and we're trying to see who could rank up the highest in Lone Wolves the fastest. We both hit 45 at the same time and kept getting matched up together. It was so stressful. I did NOT want to lose to him. Every time we'd kill each other we'd go crazy.

I'm really kind of disliking the multiplayer.

It doesn't feel like halo it feels like call of duty "gotcha" kills where you can't do shit.

The maps are boring too.

I'll play on with it and make my thoughts know later. Provisionally I'd liken it to getting gears of war judgement after gears 3. I must add I was one of the freaks that liked judgement multiplayer, however it wasn't a proper gears experience.

I am a purist at heart though so hate that things are moving away from h2 gameplay. Jet packs, spartan charges and sprinting dilute the experience. As soon as you put in sprint and clambering you can't have fan favourite remade maps since the scale doesn't work, and my initial gut feel is that the maps are a tad boring after the likes of lockout, Zanzibar, Ascension etc. I know it's supposed to resemble a training ground but still, there was something to be said about more scene setting levels. I really do hate that the franchise is chasing the cod crowd though but I guess that's the business model.

I'm having a lot of trouble with aiming... The dmr. All the other rifles and the magnum feel fine. Lots of perfects, few issues. But the dmr somehow feels different. Anyone else notice this? Is it just me? I fucking loved the thing in the beta btw

I am having the opposite problem. I do worse with the BR to the point that I just keep the pistol in arena.

If I get a DMR I tear through people.

I've been getting disconnected from my game constantly. Worked perfectly on launch.
Same here. Mp is just busted for me today. Even MCC launch once I got a game I stayed in it. Today I've yet to play more than a minute in an mp match before it dcs. NXOE with Cox Internet. No problems in any other games or with my internet in general.

I'll keep at it. I preferred the dmr to the br in the beta. Must be me. Actually, I was drinking. Perhaps the dmr requires a more sober hand ;)

Feels like HaloGAF. RIP in pieces thread.

I suck, but I am really enjoying the multi. Only played 1st mission of campaign so far. Warzone is lots of fun, even when I am getting smoked.

So, I'm a pretty average player but here is me avoiding a spartan charge. This happened in my first game of the night just now after reading the last couple of pages of this thread so thought it was relevant.

I check behind me, see something on radar, look for dude, dodge and shoot/melee him. How is that not avoidable? If I never checked behind me he would just assassinate me anyway, it's no different.

Also +1 for removing Orion, I can not get the hang of that map, always get stomped.

I bet that guy had all 50 of his team's kills doing those OP charges.

I remember there is a mission, I think Mission 15,, that you go into a room to activate something, and while is doing so, you get a bunch of Prometean to fight, I remember me and friends saying that his would make a good MP map, I has lift in 4 corners and a circular MID portion in the room, does anyone knows what part Im talking about?

Mission 15.

I don't think I've even completed a slayer match without someone quitting on one or both teams.

It feels bad to waste time playing another 8 minutes of multiplayer on a 2v4 match you are losing anyways.

I'm in one right now as I'm typing this. There's no point in playing this match. Two people quit before the 6 minute left mark, now its just me.

Everyone's so worried about their kdr and being pro that nobody wants to play unless they are winning.

No man, you're dead wrong, just look at posted clips in the last couple pages.

You must just suck ass. Like get better dude.

This is the most well paced, strategic, gunplay oriented halo ever.

It is and you sound salty. because you keep getting spartan charged.

So now I'm going to risk being banned if I quit a 1v4 match or be forced to sit for 8-9 minutes doing nothing while 4 players gang up on me.

This really is a great experience.

Oh well At least I didn't pay full price for the game :D 68 down from the usual 100 as it usually is here.

I paid $10 thanks to that Microsoft store app promo. I guess that's worth it for campaign. I think this one is either getting sold or put on the shelf once blops3 and fallout 4 are out.

Yeah, reminds me of COD when people camp except here it's even worse. I don't know why they care even a dumb fucking number, all I care about is playing and having fun. You can still be competitive and everything without a stupid number telling you that you are or aren't.

I'm really bad at MP. Been losing like crazy. I'm really losing motivation to keep playing :/

Practice in Warzone, get a feel for movement and the weapon/vehicle sandbox of the game. Try to stick with teammates and don't lone wolf it so you always have support. Focus on AI first, then gradually move to encountering other player. Once you get better, try out Team Slayer.

So I just got this ultra rare Deadeye armour drop from a gold pack and it's in my collection but it doesn't show when I go to customise my Spartan do I have to be a certain level or is something bugging out?

How could I not be butthurt, 343 ruined Halo with all of these OP abilities.

ffs here I am, coming home after a shitty day happy to read some post of people discussing halo and all I see is that kind of shit.

why can't you all be nice to each other? we all die fast enough..sarcastic remarks won't help any discussion >.<
today is my birthday and a childhood friend died last night in an accident. so sorry if I'm a little emotional

besides that..yay for breakout. still love that. I had some really bad games, but it is still fun..except if you have an betraying ass in your team who kills you for taking the BR......especially in breakout that behaviour is so shitty.

Games been out 4 days. Chill

I expected something for halloween too >.<".. but christmas is right around the corner, so how about some christmas playlists.

There are so many areas, maybe not structure or symmetry wise, that would serve as good settings for multiplayer maps. And I just don't understand why they didn't do this for launch. I get it we may have DLC but come on. We could have had a map in Sanghelios with desert atmosphere. Sunaion (I probably misspelled it) with the round purple rain look. Genesis, A guardian, anything. But all we get are boring human settings and midship remake.

I love multiplayer

The issue is that while halo 5 has those things, it has it in a much different way and with designs that changes it too much from what a lot of fans want.

I hate the map design for clamber, I am surprised it hasn't gotten more hate to be honest. Some of these drops and climb out points on some of these holed out areas just seem bad, like I actually must jump up and clamber. i just don't like this feeling at all. I want to jump, have the chance to look behind me and shoot incase I need, now i m forced to focus in one direction and climb up instead of focusing on my jumps and shots. It's just a horrible design choice imo

Crouch jumping is still a thing... Most of the time when I see people clambering, they didn't actually have too...
