Just sludged though a big chunk of that screenshot-thread.

Screenshot threads on GAF (that aren't the dedicated PC/console screenshot threads) typically bring out the worst in everybody. Nobody comes out of those threads unscathed.

I hope I can play this game on the lowest settings on the pc in till I get a new gpu
(Trying to sell my old one locally)

Idk why its not a graveyard thread, there is no actual discussion there

In one of the new screens the (Gameplay spoilers?)
HP Bar has part of it in red. I wonder if it's like in the mobile game where when you get radiation it reduces your maximum health until the radiation is cleared?

Have to wait and see the options we get. If you can only go up to High then doubtful but if there's an ultra/extra or something similar then that would make high a peg or two lower. Judging from previous Bethesda games though it'll probably just be low/medium/high right across the board.

Well yeah, of course.

Normally I'd say 750ti could do high easily - this being yet another (small?) upgrade on the old engine - but the recommended specs are so ridiculous that I'm not sure what to think anymore.

Once again Shinobi has saved the day.

My Fallout Loot Crate has dispatched, hopefully it arrived in time for the games launch.

780 recommended is a little worrying for my 750 TI SC, but I'm sure it will still outperform PS4/XO. More concerned about which platform will have the least broken version so I'm just waiting until after launch to make a decision.

Ah cool, I hadn't seen it before. I like that better than how it was previously.

Having not played Fallout Shelter, is how it works that any amount of radiation reduces your max health by a proportionate amount, rather than having negatives to endurance at thresholds of 200 rads, 400 rads, etc?

I assume based on Bethesda's comments that the XB1 version should be identical to the PS4 version in both performance and appearance. I have the XB1 version reserved due to controller preference and Bethesda's checkered pass with Playstation.

I just found out pre-ording the physical edition get you a poster..... D:

Want to hear a dark secret? I played Skyrim on ps3.

For 500 hours.

And I loved it.

I played it too (I only had a ps3 at the time)

but just because I liked it doesn't mean I'm ignoring the flaws

That should not impact your purchase. PS3 had a history itself, PS4 is not even remotely the same development environment

I played 400 hours of Skyrim on PS3 and loved it. Unfortunately that fooled me into thinking F3 and New Vegas would be ok (I still loved them but they were definitely worse and after 200 hours New Vegas got unplayable which is why I haven't finished it).

That being said I think people using PS3 against PS4 are being silly. PS4 addressed the two factors PS3 had against it. Not enough RAM/bad Ram configuration and a processor that is very different from PC and you can't just port the game over from a PC version easily. PS4 definitely has a decent amount of RAM this time and from what I understand good RAM for gaming purposes and it's using standard PC parts so easy to port games from PC over (and Sony is being a lot better about working with developers but I think they had already learned that lesson by the time Bethesda started putting their games on PS).
