Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

Karin's Butler's name is Ishizaki, that looks like Shibazaki who is another one of her caretakers. Lili's Butler in Tekken is Sebastian.

Yeah when I saw his filename was SBS it seemed like Sebastian (and a poke at Tekken, which is why I said it was "funny").

but I guess that is Shibazaki

anyway the point was Nadeshiko has a character folder, but Shibazaki doesn't.

BTW, I haven't noticed if the other stages had multiple areas. Is the China street stage the only one so far?
There seem to be another transition area behind the waterfall, you can see parts of it while doing some CAs in the corner. It's not active in any of the builds we've seen though.

I played a mini set with Champ against his Sim, literally his second game ever with him (my friend played one game then ran to pools). Within that time he already decided he was an incomplete character that was awful and would be useless in the game. I tried saying that maybe it'll just take some time to re-adjust, but it was 90% "this character is ass!" and 10% "ooh, I found something, that's cool".

Give it time people.

I made him hate Sim during his first game ;)

Yeah I wasn't sure why you thought his name was that, I was one my cellphone and didn't notice the file name.

I thought it might be confusion over Lili's butler's name or that Sebastian is (At least to me) the most generic butler name other than Jeeves but I figured I would just detail everything. I get what you are saying though, I think it might be because Nadeshiko has a lot more animation than Shibazaki, but I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up as a skin or playable character.

Well it wasn't just Champ saying stuff like that anyway.
Still pretty early. I mained Bison in SFIV and I thought SFV Bison sucked ass too, but now I think SFV Bison is the better version of him, a vastly different one mind you.

I mean it's entirely possible Sim does suck (especially a character as polarized as him), but I wouldn't put too much stock on impressions now.

Well ya I know, but on the other hand I find people are being too dismissive.

Don't give a damn about impressions from a few hours of play, especially with people that have to unlearn things they've been doing for 7 years and might think a character sucks because said shit doesn't work.

Such impressions are worth nothing to me. Barely worth talking about.

Arturo put in a lot of time with Sim this past weekend. Dude could probably play any iteration of Sim at a high level. He's not some random scrub, who's just going to try and play Sim like 4. He's going to think outside the box. Same with Champ. Kinda ridiculous how dismissive people are, as if Capcom is perfect or that they totally nailed Sim in SF4 even or like SFV is overly complex and no way they can possibly have grasp the character over a few days!

They might be right and turns out Sim is actually ass but sorry I'm not fully trusting opinions with a couple days behind them specially for game that isn't released yet with little competition.

Well that's regardless of what mind change in the future, we are talking about this build. If he does get buffs that only proves the point, but to be so dismissive is pretty stupid.

My point is it's too early to call for buffs even if this is the final balance. One piece of tech can be the difference to make a character jump tiers - remember Super Cammy in the last couple months of the game?

Being quick to call for changes is how you end up with NRS games. Characters need weeks, sometimes months to simmer down, not days.

Yes, yes you are. Ryo Hazuki for Street Fighter V!
wouldn't you just end up double-blowing your way through every fight and the whole roster? :P
I think I beat every fight in the first game with that move once I learned it XD (or was it elbow assault? It's been too long since I played it now :3 )

In that case you can say that about any character, ever. And yes it's good to give feedback now, before the game is released. I'm sure Capcom is looking for that kind of feedback at these stages.

To be fair I've been saying this about any character people complain about one way or the other.

Did he? I was around the SFV stations pretty frequently and I only saw him a few times.

What does 4 hours even mean? 4 hours as in total playtime, or that he spent 4 hours playing/waiting on the limited setups at the venue?

Dunno ask David.

David voice similar concerns as well.

I definitely agree that Champ was a little more on the dramatic scale however, because he's well champ and he's a drama queen

I think David said something like people need to start playing footsies in the air more often when playing as Sim. He certainly seems much stronger in the air in SFV compared to past games.

idk we'll see
