Sure you willThis looks really dull and not a huge improvement graphically over Fallout 3.
Not impressed, think I'll skip this.

I think it's definitely more streamlined. One of the more complicated parts of character creation in Fallout is that Perks had Skill and SPECIAL requirements, but players generally did not see those until they leveled up to the point where they were offered their first Perk. The SPECIAL interaction in particular was much harder to understand without a fair amount of pre-creation planning.
Now you can't really get "surprised" by a Perk that you discover later during your playthrough that you might want, and realize you don't have a means of meeting the requirements at that point.
I'm not saying it's better or worse overall, just that it's much easier to understand and navigate both before and after character creation happens.
Oblivion was the last time they really pushed technologically in nearly all aspects.
Hmmm... We'll have to see about VATS I guess. It's a balancing issue, but I can see RPG "traditionalists" not liking it.
You or I have different degrees of spoilers than everyone else. Gameplay spoilers, plot spoilers, system spoilers... lots of different kinds of spoilers.
I'm fine with the Leak thread in terms of how "spoilery" it was but there are already a few people pointing out the need for potential spoiler awareness.
EDIT: Personally, I don't think the merge is a problem in the spoiler aspect, I'm just sure there are a few people who do.
What do the safe space people think of the changes/downgrades?
- Hardcore mode - Hated Hardcore mode in New Vegas. It felt like it was something shoehorned in for an artificial difficulty increase instead of something designed for the game that fit in organically.
So, weapon condition is out.
What will be the determining factor(s) of weapon jamming in FO4 then?
Wait, for real? You play Fallout without VATS?
More like DOOM/Rage level controls. It's going to be amazing.
Can I shoot the dog? I don't like dogs in real life and I don't want to have him forced up onto me in a video game.
Please. We can suppose the gunplay has been improved, but there is no chance in hell it reached Rage levels.
Last I heard Bethesda got help/consulted their subsidiaries MachineGames and id regarding gun gameplay, both of which produced great gun gameplay with new Wolfeinstein and Rage. I think it's going to be pretty damn good.
Videos are down![]()
Any new vids out there?
I think there were 3 new 5 minutes videos with a decent quality on youtube, bethesda strikes again thanks to people not hiding videos behind email tags
Edit: I uploaded one of the vids https://vid.me/gePS
Nah bruh, we all remember playing Fallout 3 on those fat ass monitors? Right guys? Anyone? Please?
Oh, you didn't buy a new one did you?I actually used that kind of a monitor until when it broke down in 2010. So.
Yeah, there in.Are there unique or legendary weapons?

Yep already confirmed. There are unique legendary monsters and people scattered throughout the world that either possess them or are protecting them.

How do people have access to the PC version?
The insane hours I put into FO3 and FO: NV tell me, despite the glitches and graphics, I am going to enjoy the hell out of this game. Day 1.

Anything known about PS4 performance? I do not trust this dev.![]()
They'll just go back to where you first picked them up. There may be an option to send them to your home/settlement too.If I dismiss my companion but later want her back, will she be hanging out at my "house/base", the place where I met her, or is she gone forever?
What system is this?
Look at the button prompts, gotta be XBO.
Could be PC with Xbox controller?
Then how do we get PC screenshots? Pretty sure the reviewers have access to all versions, could be wrong though.Nope, no one can access the PC version yet from what I hear (something about even the retail versions being locked without Steam decrypting the files).

Did you play on hardcore? I did with New Vegas on my 200 hour playthrough. I can say with confidence it didn't add anything to the game experience for me.Yes thats my biggest concern, in a wasteland you have to try to survive with systems made for survival itself not endless supply of food, weapons, etc.
Thats why the removal of hardcore really bothers me.
I honestly cannot see from any of these screens why my 570 with its 1.3 gigs of RAM won't be able to run this. LIke, what are their minimum and recommend reqs even aiming for? 4K?

If you keep cutting limited resources features without replacements, traveling and dungeon crawling becomes exponentially less interesting. Eventually it stops being gameplay and starts being grindy time filler.
Ideally, there should be a handful of variables that make long slogs interesting and challenging. Saving a given gun for only the most dangerous encounters. Maybe it breaks anyway, so you have to improvise with a weapon you're not as skilled in, but maybe have more ammo for anyway. Etc.
Some people want these games to be resource infinte with unlimited encumbrance and so on and I don't get it at all. Eventually there's no game there, you're just in an interactive wasteland themed screensaver.
Weapon degradation specifically isn't a necessity but something needs to put limitations on your ability to go anywhere for any length of time and survive...
