So with regards to "Fan", we are all assuming that is an East Asian, maybe Chinese, name right? Is that a gendered name or a gender neutral name?

Fan is a pretty common Chinese surname that's for sure but for first names, it's usually used for females.

Capcom never asked to be "excused" for Mika's design.
Like, they straight up never even made an attempt to get involved with the whole online "controversy" at all.
They made Naruto booby lady. They like Naruto booby lady. They aren't changing Naruto booby lady.
If they want to make thong man, too (another character they never attempted to "justify") then more power to them.

Mika's old design was much better IMO, and not only because it covered more skin. It lost a ton of character somehow, it now looks like random strips of fabric. I wish they would have found a better balance between more revealing and, well, actually looking like a wrestling outfit. I miss the blue hearts! 
As for Urien, I don't care one bit, he's one of my least favorite characters in the series.

It barely covers more skin and in place of that has nipple hearts. The SFA3 skin actually did have random strips around the thighs. Now it actually connects into one outfit.
It's a good translation. And the very unsexy rage voice + ridiculousness of the super go a long way to making her not just annoying fan service. Even though I don't want them in, I think Akuma and Sakura are definitely going to be headlining the 2nd wave of DLC. I also think that Dudley and the Twins will get in eventually.

If the data mined roster is true it might be the best year this game could have. Only way I could see year 2 being better is if they go hard on fan favorites and popular characters.

That six would absolutely slay all wallets. If there were a SF2 character I wouldn't mind paying for it'd be Sagat. The rest are fight monies. I'd include Ingrid for Japanese yencoins, but I don't want to live with disappointment.

His intro needs to be busting out of a suit and revealing the thong.
The only way I'd accept no thong is having an alternate colour or DLC costume where he rips out of his suit and there's another suit underneath.

About the character rartion in MKX. Around 50% classics and the other half coming from less popular entries or original characters. With the right marketing and content it could do very well.

I STRONGLY (caps are cool) disagree, but if they decide to go that way I'm pretty confident he'll have a classic look DLC so I will be covered. No worries.

Either change him up a lot, make him old and grizzled, get him a different haircut, usw.
Or let him be the same as ever. Old haircut, camo clothes, sonic boom, flashkick, and that's it.
Caps ARE cool. Caps are VERY cool!
I think everyone should get a classic alternate costume. That way Capcom can feel comfortable progressing the designs and still have the classic one present for the people who have become attached to them.
Afro's are also cool, but not as cool as caps.
You'll get the Hamburglar outfit and like it!

The new design is barely changed from the old one. She shows a bit more skin under her armpit and doesn't have hearts on her boobs anymore, that's literally it. Hell people were even complaining that they barely changed her design at the reveal thread.
