By who else is left , I meant in his List lol. Elena,Rose,Makoto,Maki were all in. Also lol why is Juli like twice as popular as Juni. I wonder where Decapre would have ended on that poll.
 
Honestly the only character I really need to see in this game in 2017 is Hakan. I've got pretty much everyone else I care most about.

Yeah, I can agree with this. I like Mortal Kombat's recent approach, but Street Fighter doesn't have to be MK. SF does just fine doing what it's been doing. I greatly appreciate seeing characters being characters, growing and progressing and whatnot, but it is more icing on the cake for Street Fighter games.

I could see Maki getting in over Guy. Can't replace Cody or Haggar, but a female ninja who sort of is like Guy could trump him...

Nah , he is like twice as popular. Plus she doesn't really play like him , maybe they could replace from a visual perspective. But gameplay wise she's completely different.
Haggar has been cockblocked by Gief so many times lol , it was good to see him do the same in MvC3.

Also it will be hella weird to have Cody and Maki , in the game. But who knows maybe we'll get Sodom and Maki and Cody/Guy much later. They are like the Ryu/Ken of FF.

I think it's more likely neither get in, at least for awhile. They have a pseudo ninja (Vega) and a real ninja (Ibuki) on the way so maybe they think that archetype is represented regardless of how they play. They could pull a Birdie and put in Maki over Guy despite him being more popular. In addition, I can see her being chosen due to the popularity of women fighters in general. She may see a boost in popularity like Poison did after she was added to USF4.

Poison was always very popular , She was Top 5 pre SFxT . I believe Namco held a pretty big poll for TxSF in Facebook.
But even outside of that , you heard so much about Poison everywhere. Even in mainstream gaming media.

Guy on the other hand went downhill after SF4 :( , before that he was always the most popular FF char.
 
I'm secretly hoping that Fan turns out to be the most adorable addition to SF since the formation of the series. It's really fun watching someone rage when you beat them with a super cutesy character :3

Haha, yeah. I was originally miffed that Mika never got into SF4 but in hindsight I'm rather glad it worked out the way it did ^.^;

I know Guy is pretty popular, but I could see it as a way to put in another female fighter. I do hope an upcoming dlc pack is mostly final fight characters though, could see it for story mode reasons.. And add a final fight like beatem up mode too..

This is why it was so clowny when posters were saying that Dhalsim *can't* be in or that it was highly implausible for Dhalsim to be on the starting roster because he's "not relevant" to the story.

Capcom has shat on the laws of science and time as we know it to include Bison, Nash, Rose, Third Strike characters, etc. and these guys think Capcom is above writing Dhalsim more than a bit part if they want? K.

SFXT basically just picked the most popular SF4 characters. Cody Guy tag team opportunity was like too obvious.

Fei long was the only exception since Capcom said law is better.

Wow i dont think i have dissagreed woth a game post so much

Im so glad they saw mkx and are going with it. I have no desire for my characters to stay static and a strong desire for them to eventually change.

I do agree having nothing to do with plot, or being dead shouldnt restrict a character though. Just dont include them in the story. Boom there you go.

I honestly don't understand what people got out of the MK story modes but if that's what Capcom needs to sell this game to the masses, so be it. It blows my mind even more people on GAF were calling GGXrd's story mode the best one in a fighting game ever.

They made him a goody goody that says things like "profound sadness", also his play style didn't transfer too well and was pretty low tier wise for a while, not really gaining any fan base..
 
Guy would be a pointless addition. It's bad enough that we got R Mike and Zangief, the last thing we need is another ninja when we already have Vega and Ibuki.

The characters we really need are Dudley, Sean, and Alex. Luckily we're already getting the latter.

We just got Guy in 2010, he can sit out for this one. We haven't seen Alex since all the way back in 2008, and American audiences had to wait until freaking 2010 to even use him.

People value different shit. I like narrative, those thibgs have it, and lore amd a world to be invested in. I like how arcsys does their thing.
 
Btw, for people who want Sean, what exactly is the appeal of the character for you? I can't say anything about his personality, but I thought his move set was just a tweaked combination of Dan, Ken, and Ryu.

I get why the MKX story is enjoyable, but I think it's silly to be the dealbreaker for someone purchasing a fighting game. It seems like a total waste to buy a game for a 2-3 hour story mode of cutscenes with random fights in-between and never touch it again. If it helps sell the game, whatever.

I hate how ArcSys uses an updated story mode as one of the main justifications for making you purchase a new full-priced game each incremental update.

You folks make me angry. ANGRY. WTF... either no Viper mention or bullshit like 2020. Lol. No one comes even close to how she played in SFIV. No one. Yeah, Ibuki has SJC's, but that is nothing compared to some of the stuff I had to practice for months with Viper.

It wont hurt anyone if she comes as soon as 2017, please. She brings a unique enough toolset to the table, especially compared to the bullshits like Cody, Akuma or Balrog,etc.

Viper is pretty much SF4 the character, if they do bring her back and make her work within this game I don't expect much of what you practiced to matter.

It would either be Hayagake (run) or Kaiten (flip). Run could probably go in unchanged, his flip would need some more options for a followup besides the Izuna and elbowl.

Thats exactly what went into omega mode. I'd wager the new follow ups will be coming to SF V. Even that new EX Hozanto.

Run might become his V-Skill. Because its pretty pretty redundant since QCF+K all run at the same speed. Its just the follow ups that matter , so theres not point of there being a QCF+LK or HK..etc. In Alpha it mattered because the follow ups had to be done in Advance.

Counter Teleport could be his V-trigger. Or maybe his Final Fight fireball?

I think he would be an interesting fit with the sfv engine. Make his vskill the jump shot and turn him into a pure frame trap and rush down focused shoto. His sister is in so it would be an opportunity for them to flesh out both of their stories if that's a thing capcom is serious about now.

MK X has 6 Ninjas and it sold 5 million. Thats valuable info right there. Capcom what are you doing? Ramp it up.
We need Guy,Maki and Geki in the game asap.


also Mika and Gief? Cmon man they aren't even similar. Gief is the slow big grappler type like Hawk,Hugo.
