Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

They should just have like a White Flag option if you're getting 1v4. Nobody wants to play hunt the one guy crouching around the map for five minutes, and nobody likes being the guy who gets killed and humped and demoralized for five minutes. If 3 of your team quits, a little option pops up that says, "tough shit kid, give up?", and you click yes, and the game is over and everyone moves on to the next game. You're be less penalized rank wise if you just give up, too.

Why are we not allowed to pay money for Gold packs now? I was watching walshy and the price doesn't show. I tried on my Xbox same deal. hmmm

Both of your points are 100% true when you're severely outnumbered, but not always the case with JIP. I've frequently joined games in progress and then won.

I still see in the multiple answers above a reliance upon personal stats and winning more than providing a space for everyone to have the best chance at a fair match. Which was my original point.

I remember discussing this all when 343 announced they were ditching JIP and was told that PC games manage quitters just fine through penalties. Why aren't those penalties working here? Are they not stringent enough?

Sure. Maybe I'm selfish, but I care more out getting myself a fair match, than making sure someone else's match is less unfair...

I'm not saying it's impossible win JiP matches. I'm saying it goes against the "fair start" ideology that I value in halo games, because I have 0 control over the situation i land in.

I definately think the penalties need to be more severe. And I'd actually be FOR allowing users to volunteer to JiP. I think that would be fair.

No, I fuck up plenty.

But I more often than not, blame myself. I don't immediately jump to the conclusion that it's the game's fault.

It's happened to the best of us. Blaming the game for being oblivious doesn't solve anything, though.

Lolololol.

I'm sure we've all done the same thing... What we haven't done is turn around and blamed the game for our shortcomings in our game

There are shit spawns in Halo 5 but don't blame the spawning system when you simply get pooped because you sprinted out in the open without looking at the radar.

That's true, I am separating what happened in the video and where he spawned. Regardless of what occurred, the spawn was bad. I just spawned in Regret while getting shot at in Team Slayer, it happened again in the Rig except this time I was sandwiched between two players. The game has some bad spawns that should be looked at a bit.

Also, I don't think I've ever played in Empire, like, since the Beta. I just realized Swat only had Eden.

Seriously, I've clocked somewhere along the lines of 15-20 hours of MP and I still haven't played in all the maps not because the huge amount of variety, but because shitty rotations. Not cool, 343.

Very random, but I work at Sequence and I worked on Fall of Reach! Mostly screens, consoles, holograms etc. I have some stuff here and I will upload more soon—more process stuff and "raw" screens :)

You all rock! Loved the Fall of Reach series.

Would have been great if y'all actually finished the series. For a show called "Fall Of Reach" it's distinctly lacking the fall of reach.

It should have just been called "Origins of Blue Team."

Campaign complete. Really enjoyed it. While it didn't quite reach any of the highs as Halo 3 (still my favourite campaign), it was really consistent throughout. The game play is absolutely the best in the series though.

Definitely makes me excited to see what they do with Halo 6. I hope they keep the 4 person team and let you choose what Spartans come with you on each mission.

So where do DMRs drop from in req packs?

Think they're Rare and above so only Silver and Gold. But a big issue is, you're more likely to get all the junk permanent req's as well, and so maybe bronze and silver to get some low level REQ'S out of way, before doing gold could be better option. It's all anecdotal and random though.

Lol what the hell, some guy on our team in Breakout kept grabbing the flag and legging it to the drop point. They couldn't catch him each time. Must have done it in 30 seconds each time lol.

Well those are some nice changes to the playlists. Thank fucking god orion is gone. I don't know how that map made it into launch. Still no slayer on truth in team arena though? Still some good changes.

I really appreciate all the work that went into making that series. Building an hour of animation with the team size you guys have is a pretty impressive achievement.

Nah, at least I don't remember playing in that monstrous nightmare.

I played my first Warzone Assault today, pretty underwhelming stuff. Still hoping REQ Packs have some sort of utility outside Warzone.

Cough cough FIREFIGHT cough cough.
It was in the beta.

Can't wait to see its Uncaged version when it comes back.

Firefight would be a godsend. Still wish there were more AI grunts in Warzone.

Must feel bad to have put all that work into a map that everyone hates and it just ends up being a waste of development time/budget.

I'll never hate it. I won a FFA match on it first try.

Fathom was already a Team Slayer map so I guess the inclusion of it as new is a mistake?
