Doing the whole passive aggressive :) thing everytime you're being questioned is also obnoxious, tho. Which makes conversations that much more irritating for all sides.

Ah but snipers has a certain gameplay to it and throwing a shotgun in just ruins it.

At the moment there are people sprinting around and shotgunning everyone which is a shame as with just snipers it would be close range snapshots

'Wildly trying to get a snapshot' is a weak way of looking at it especially as I assume you have played high level snipes games yourself?

I brought up blops in my previous post as it too has added mobility, unlimited sprint, more vertical gameplay etc. Thought it was a fair comparison but I guess you take anything negative said about halo 5 personally, and you've also quoted me out of context as usual.

Yeah, Sprint with Close Quarter weapons has sucked since Reach. Shotty Snipes has always been the worst Snipers gametype.

Yep at halo 3 50 high you had better be able to pull that stuff off consistently - hell Im not even saying I'm good - I got my ass handed to me at that level - but by people that if you go up close you will get no scoped immediately

I wanted to have a snipers playlist in halo 5 to see how sniping compared - at the moment it's impossible to get a feel for the sniping gameplay

Nope, because that poll was flawed to begin with. Who in their right mind would ever believe CTF or Strongholds has a chance against Shotty/Snipes? Should've been Shotty/Snipes vs SWAT for first Double XP weekend, but here we are with a launch SWAT playlist and Objectives getting the shaft again lol

It would be interesting if they created a "Hardcore Action Sack" playlist that rotates between SWAT and Shotty/Snipes gametypes seeing as how they're fine with including Breakout in the Team Arena playlist.

Finished the game on Normal, started again on Heroic. I liked it well enough.

Been getting a little better at the MP, it has put me in Gold 2, i don't know how good/bad that is.

I don't know how I feel about Warzone though. That card mechanic is just ugh.

Objective playlists are never super popular because they're "too hard" and parties keep matching randoms.

The guys I used to play with have all mostly given up and that's despite relatively decent impressions of halo 5 and even if they did play as much - I cant any more due to other commitments and so who knows when we would schedule customs

It's a shame but my group lasted about a week on halo 5 - there's only 3 of us that still play consistently

All of that aside - I personally don't think a shotty has any place in a snipers game in customs or matchmaking - clearly people disagree which makes me sad

If I can't point out what I think are the negatives in halo 5, then fuck me dead what's the point of having a thread?

I'll say it again, the added mobility, abilities, unlimited sprint in halo 5 suck with these maps, especially in FFA. And if you think FFA and 8 players and the tiny maps are fine, you must be a fucking legend at the game because half the time I can't "situational-awareness" myself out of spawning in the middle of a gunfight.

Well I thought everyone already agreed that FFA was trash in this game though? 8 players breaking free of the spawn zones on these maps is going to end in disaster any way you slice it. It needs less players so that the spawn engine has more room to breathe.

yeah, look. the two parties have different opinions.

posters in the last few pages shouldn't be telling others to leave a thread. he wasn't derailing, IMO he is just stating his opinion, many points which I agree with. isn't that what we want tho? good active discussion and feedback for 343 to make this game better?

Your criticism is always welcome. Just try not to accuse long time community members here of being things they are not. The discussion is much more richer without the verbals about other posters.

I'm pretty positive I posted here that FFA needed to drop 2 people. It's not the abilities, there's just too many bodies on the maps.

Hey, and imo some of the long time community members are acting like assholes and taking me out of context, selectively quoting and getting butthurt the second I make comparisons with another game which I believed were totally fair. I'm sorry I don't have a fan club on this forum. Somehow that makes my opinion matter a little less. That's the reason for my retaliation. I'm very vocal about my complaints about the game and it seems to be a problem for a select few posters in this thread. If they actually read my posts they're pretty much along the lines of what others have complained about.
 
Just finished the campaign. Probably one of the worst in the series for me.

There were bright spots, mainly when the gameplay resembled 'Halo' with vehicles and multiple large targets for destruction. The rest, particularly with Spartan Locke, were just survival waves and respawning targets. The AI ally characters were so bland I almost wanted to turn all the chatter off. Also, Locke is no Chief, and the whole time I was praying the next mission switched back to Master Chief.

Some of the environments were beautiful but a lot of points just didn't have that discovery or wonder without a narrator or better context.
 
I have to say, that campaign was short but it sure was a blast. Never overstayed it's welcome and never bored me. A rarity amongst shooters. Well done!

One thing that has become clear in absorbing all your feedback is that Halo players want choice when it comes to controls. And with that in mind, we are also working on another little pet project that will allow even more precise tuning. This update will offer more custom fine-tuned control over controller settings (hint: independent vertical/horizontal sensitivities, the ability to calibrate your own dead zones, more granularity in sensitivity, and more). We hope to have that out for you in December and we will follow up with more details later.
