Wow. Big Team Battle in Halo 5 is seriously all forge maps.

Welcome to the ugliest time in Halo history courtesy of 343s laziness. No wonder the "maps" are free.

And with that in mind, we are also working on another little pet project that will allow even more precise tuning. This update will offer more custom fine-tuned control over controller settings (hint: independent vertical/horizontal sensitivities, the ability to calibrate your own dead zones, more granularity in sensitivity, and more). We hope to have that out for you in December and we will follow up with more details later.

Ive not personally seen any information regarding what those 15 free maps are either way but if their launch BTB offerings are forge creations then I dont have any reason to expect better from free dlc. Hope to be proven very wrong and would gladly accept ridicule in that case. I'd rather be wrong about this than right.

I'm just blunt about my opinions and admit they could use some more tact, I'm just calling it as I see it.

With the BB discount I paid 50 and surely will be able to trade it in, with minimal loss. Fallout 4 will be great as well. As soon as this aiming patch comes in, I will return to Halo.
 
Early days yet, but the immediate post launch support is huge. Can't wait to see what else they have in store, and I think this BTB update is a good start.

Those maps look like arse, I'm sorry but the visuals are part of the experience, even in multiplayer.

I want good, official maps... not fan made forged crap.

well i just had heaps of fun playing with americans

seriously, why the fuck am i getting paired with US players now? I'm in australia!! I played all week and had good connections, now I've got shitty ones? what gives?
 
Man after playing about half an hour of BLOPS 3 earlier tonight, I really appreciate how in Halo I actually have a chance to survive a firefight, even if I'm ambushed. I also have renewed appreciation for 343's art direction, even though I've always been a fan of the visuals.

Yeah I was playing before and it was the same. I can only assume that no Australians play on a Saturday afternoon. Who knows.

They did talk about how international players were having some issues and they were changing the matchmaking parameters. Maybe this means more Europeans and Australians can play with NA peeps more?

MCC is laggy for me and can't find but 3 or 4 matches in a whole day of searchng.


So you think these btb maps look good, well that's fine if you think so. Yeah, stylized just what we were all asking for..

I think I know what they want to do, show what can be done in forged but leave that to the community for the most part to design maps. I feel they want the fore maps to be a big part of the mp experience but what maps are they actually making?
 
Damn, people going crazy for the Forge maps which clearly are just a set up to get the BTB ball rolling for future, mind you, FREE, updates.

It's good to know 343 is starting to tweak stuff and adding things post-launch so quickly. Just please don't suck as Orion.
 
War zone will die a great death once BTB is back..... Such a crappy game mode atm. It needs balance to be fun.

Feels like whoever takes the middle base wins most of the time. Least Arena is amazing.

There are many issues for us outside of the US. I can't play with most people online caue of ping and even if I search warzone it almost never lets me find a game.

I'd love for everything to be gravy but it isn't. Not sure what get good has to do with any of this though sir

I think it's just the bad angle coupled with the fact Forge kind of lacks textures on the objects of the maps. Obviously the Reach anniversary map looks the best, but that probably also took them months to make with several devs using full assets.

Then again, if it plays faithfully the clean lines and less visual noise could also be beneficial for the game play.

Kayotix isnt outside the US, so I'm not sure what that has to do with warzone.

as an american that lives outside of US, it's really annoying that I can go on bf, battlefront with very few issues. While MCC doesn't work basically and a lot of things won't work in Halo 5.

I know people don't typically care if thiings work for them an that is enough, but if you really just can't play, how would you feel?
