Now, it is most likely that I am a guy that is so very easily pleased or my eyes have morbid inability to notice anything ugly or that my brain is very technically-deficient in terms of discerning visual fidelity, or maybe this is just an unconscious self-justification attempt since I poured sixty bucks pre-ordering this game, hahaha, but I really honestly thought that the PS4 screenshots shared at the console screenshot thread to be gorgeous, and as such I really don't comprehend all the hubub about this game's graphical prowess, or lack thereof.

One of these days maybe I ought to have my eyes checked, maybe, hahaha, but I am pleased from what I have seen so far.
Looking at those screens in that thread, the game does seem to have good atmosphere, which is one of the things I care most about in a Fallout game. I'm glad it has a look going for it, because there are certainly some screenshots that show it's very apparent graphical rough edges.

They have a star and it says Legendary (insert enemy type) for their name. They are are a much stronger variant of a normal enemy. They can mutate mid-fight which refills most of their health and gives them a buff of some kind. Looting them gives you a unique item with some kind of bonus. I got a Pipe Rilfe with exploding rounds for example.

Meh, things like that should come from special ammo, not some innate magical ability of the Weapon itself.

Someone sent me a picture showing all bobblehead locations and their effect (for non-special bobbleheads) from the guide. Will add the info to the wiki in a while.

So if the game launches at 12am Eastern on PSN, does that mean since I'm in Central I can play it at 11?

(Kinda new to the digital preloading stuff)

So I'm making a list of snacks and foods to get when this comes out lol.

What difficulty is the newspaper streamer playing at? Because there's some serious bullet-sponging going on there. If that's all "hard" mode is, I'll pass.

For those who have played the game/watched a lot of the game, how big is the map? I've heard people say it's not that big, which would be a little disappointing.

It is hard mode. That said he's barely if ever upgraded any of his weapons and just used what he's found. Many of which are quite low powered. Still, bullet sponges come as no surprise. That and more damage inflicted on the player is a fairly standard Hard mode tactic.

Also the streamer sounds just like Michael De Santa's son in GTAV.

Just a word of warning for people: Eying that beautiful "toughness" perk? 50 damage resistance on the highest perk level, wtf? It seemed like an obvious perk to include in any build for me, but I just learned that DR does not correspond to % of total damage that you avoid. Some power armors seem to have DR values in the 200 range ... So if that isn't instant win mode, how important could +50 DR be? Is it really worth five perk levels to get +50 DR? I think I will back off "toughness" and invest in more useful perks ...

I mean, I would expect Power Armor to have the highest protection levels compared to anything you can equip outside of it, given how it has changed in usage.

It'll probably be like it always has, with your average engagement distance dictating how important defensive considerations are. Plus whatever difficulty you're playing on.

Well, it is a Level 1 perk, you don't even need to put any points into Endurance to get it. I don't think it was ever going to be all that powerful like that. Now, if it were the END Lv10 perk? That'd be a different story.

When I think about it, wouldn't normal armor bonuses apply in addition to power armor bonuses when you are inside the exoskeleton? So the game is balanced for having +200 DR +"whatever your normal armor is" + perk bonuses? Lol, I am just speculating here, but +50 does not seem like much ...

Yeah, maybe I should have read more into the level 1 S.P.E.C.I.A.L req than I did.

We'd have to know the numbers on how damage reduction works, and what percentage it is based on 50 or 200 or whatever. I'm sure someone will run all that shortly after launch.

Is it possible for someone to PM me or spoiler tag the locations of the bobble heads without spoiling any thing else?

I made it this far without ruining this game for myself and I'll hate myself if I Google it and I click on a link that takes me to spoiler city.

Probably does apply while inside Power Armor. Hard to say for sure how impactful it is, but if say you're right and your PA has 200 DR, it'd still be a 25% increase. Whatever your DR is outside of PA is probably much lower than that, so it'd become more valuable.

If I had to guess I'd say it is something for melee characters to consider mostly, and maybe some shotgun-esque ranged. Some additional considerations given to focus on stealth or whether companions are involved. I mean if you're playing someone who snipes all day fishing for sneak bonuses whenever possible, it's probably not something you're going to want to bother with.

From nukahub:

Charisma Bobblehead -
Found on a Red Rocket station between Sanctuary Hills and Concord.

Intelligence Bobblehead -
Found in the Boston Public Library.

Perception Bobblehead -
Found in the Museum of Freedom in the town Concord.

Others are not found yet as far as I know.

Are they relatively early on in to be found?

Yeah, this seems likely. Not really my play style, so I think I will go for other perks.

I have no idea. Just quoting from nukahub. I wish I had the game, but I will have to wait until monday like the rest of you :(

I will get 4-5 packages of different sweets and re-fill my bucket with it. Also treat myself with extra awesome meals (like Mango-Curry-Chicken with Cashew nuts and 500g rice or 500g Chicken Nuggets with 600g country potatoes and garlic dip or 8 tuna wraps etc).Topping that off with 3 litre of ice cold Coke Zero a day. I even skip back day. It will be glorious.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault-Tec_bobblehead

Only has locations in it and nothing else. Currently filling in the effects of non-special bobbleheads on there, as well (not listed in the table no worry).

I will eat nothing. Only way to play survival.

It's annoying because not a great deal of the CHARISMA perks appeal to me but I don't wanna completely ignore it as I don't wanna fail lots of checks, may settle on 4 and pick up the +1 when in the game.

In past Fallout games C has been big for me but I love VATS so A and L are taking a good chunk of points.

Yesterday I found an awesome piece of armor AND a matching two-handed melee weapon in a (vague location spoilers?)
comicbook store
. This game is so good. So. Good.
