Fuck's sake. ThatGameCollection claim Bethesda are being super strict, so no idea how ST got around that :\

It's so weird how the situation differs not only from continent to continet but also from country to country. Fallout 4 seems to be available pretty much everywhere in Germany since Friday.

They're talking about starting with a 4 in every SPECIAL stat, which is possible (21/7 = 3 plus the one by default), not perks or anything like that

The perks being green just means that you can get them the next time you level up

Beat me before I could edit my post about the stats. I still wouldn't have caught on about the perks though.

I really shouldn't wake up and post.

OMG am i the only one completely teared apart in deciding my S.P.E.C.I.A.L ?

On one hand the armor/gun/energy weapon mods seems hella cool and a big part of what makes fallout 4 stand out from previous games

Then there's the city building part, where if you have high charisma you can have passive stores which bring you lots of bottle caps in. You can also pacify pretty much anyone and im sure there'll be lots of dialogue options related to charisma like always.

Then there's the possibility that underwater plays a neat part in the game ? With aquaboy perk, the game would need a submerged vault or something of the sort. A good part of the map is water, there has to be a lot of exploration related to it no?

Then there's the typical stealth/melee/locksmith/ninja/luck based builds i always love to make in fallout

aaaarggh -_-

Because some store fucked up / didn't give a fuck about street date, and just pushed game to shelves for sale. Then other stores followed the lead because they don't want lose customers that store(s) that broke street date. It snowballs like that, and Bethesda is pissed.

A tip - don't put too much thought into your special stats. It doesn't really matter anyway because
you can rank up each individual perk when you level up.

Wow. I'm surprised how hard this is for so many people. It took me less than 5min to choose my SPECIALs. And when I found out you can level them up afterwards it didn't matter to me at all wich ones I choose at the start.

No one gives a shit about street dates, in my town at least. You can be sure that Media Markt and Saturn will put up every game for sale the day they get them. Can't recall the last time I didn't get a game at least a day before release.

I accidentally opened the spoiler thread and spoilered myself the ending of the game.

you're relatively new you might not know about subscriptions. Click on the top to subscribe to a thread, and then at the very top of neogaf whenever you log in you click on subscriptions and see if your subscriptions have new posts.

lol I'm one of those who has a ton of tabs open at once so I just leave stuff threads like this open. I haven't closed this one if like 6 days

Just configured the VPN to New Zealand and boom 20hrs left on the count down. God bless those sheep-loving better versions of Australians.

So to confirm, nobody from the UK is getting the game early?

Amazon sent mine yesterday evening. Really took me by surprise as they usually don't send them until day before release, and then it's usually 50/50 whether I get it on release day or the day after. I have Prime so there's a chance it may come tomorrow.

Of course, postman usually comes at 2pm and I'll be leaving for a seminar at that time, so it doesn't make much of a difference if I do get it tomorrow or Tuesday.

56 minutes of Fallout 4 early game gameplay. Pretty good video quality, I think it's the PC version but not positive. See quote.

We've come a long way.

From Skyrim release over rumours upon rumours followed by the actual "leak" of Fallout 4 being in development by Kotaku which noone believed over thesurvivor2299 (i cri everitem) to the initial reveal and now? ....now we are here. 1 day away from getting the game into our hands.

My first proper fallout game.

After doing some research, I'm gonna run a Luck/intelligence based character.
Luck for the crits and bonus in caps/ammo. Intelligence for the XP gain and hacking skills.

Put the remainder in charisma and agility. I want to have bit of influence, plus I have always kinda liked agility stats in RPG's.

I'd recommend picking up the Locksmith skill in the Perception tree because you get XP for picking locks.

When unlocking a game via VPN, can you disable it once it's unlocked and play the game or do you have to stay connected via VPN until the official release?
