New firefights are... Maybe I just need to get used to it.
- Enemies have infinite ammo and grenades. And grenades. Grenade spam. Oh, hi random guy. You wanna throw grenades? infinite grenades? ok then. Look out. Grenade indicator. Like 2 seconds ago.
- Enemies spot you from miles away. Through trees and underbrush. Most of the time you realise you're in combat when the music changes. And then you...um..spam the vats key until it highlights enemies for you, cause there no fucking way you see them through the trees and underbrush.
- I keep fighting in the forest, and then when I've won I can't find the enemy corpses to loot because of all the freaking underbrush. I'm seriously considering turning it off, because it looks nice but makes enemies infinitely harder and looting turns into a pixel hunt. I just spent 15 minutes look for a dude's corpse to get some ammo of him. 15 minutes of systematic bush combing. I am not joking.
- Human enemies seem kind of bullet spongy on normal. Snuck up on a random dude wearing a t-shirt and no armor. Gave him both barrels from a sawed off at melee range as a sneak attack in the head. He then proceeded to turn around, draw a weapon and end me. Ok then.
Still enjoying it, but I feel like combat is going to turn into sneak attack head sniping again at later levels.
If anyone has any game mechanics questions, I'll do my best to answer them. There are a lot of things not really explained.
How do I improve my vats accuracy? There's no small arms skill. I have 9 perception and my hit % is terrible.
