I imagine most people aren't at a place to answer this yet, but do powersuits ever become something you can wear all the time? Or are the fusion core just not plentiful or long lasting enought to do that?

They drop weapons with unique modifiers like say "Incinerating Pipe pistol" that gun should have a fire proc. Those kinds of enemies are new so it's not clear if all these weapons are one offs or if the game just spawns random legendary enemies from time to time.

Previous Fallout games only had a handful of legendary enemies and they were always in certain areas. I'm not quite sure what legendary enemies in this game do just yet.

They drop special loot according to the Giant Bomb quick look. Like unique, named weapons for example.

Cool. Thanks guys. I had my difficulty on Hard, then I switched to Normal. I might as well bump it back up to Hard then.

It's a strip mine and it's supposed to be filled with water.

its like for some reason there is a layer of untextured ground above the normal ground. Some parts where I fall through, I land on actual textured ground and can see paths and stuff. Then sometimes I just fall and die

Wait a sec. Did I miss choosing the difficulty or does the option appear later in the game. I'm right now
back at the house from the beginning and was told to go to concorde
. Am I that blind? :/

Hmm, weird. I had some weird texture bug on top of a building last night that caused me to fall through the floor.

Press start and go to options

Can someone plz help me out, I've got to Diamond City but everyone is attacking me before I got inside. I didnt even fire on anyone, that woman cant be killed as he health regenerates and when I go into the city everyone is trying to kill me. So I cannot do these missions anymore?

Please for the love of god someone tell me this game doesn't begin with another
roach invasion
. I don't think I can handle another one.

probably a problem with terrain LOD
far away LOD is loaded over the close one ?

Wait, wait, wait, why do I keep reading that this game is unlocking for people in 8 hours? Today, here on the West Coast of America is November 9th. Tomorrow is the 10th. That means Wednesday is the 11th. So, if the game releases on the 11th then I would expect to see it unlock Tuesday night at 9PM as they use Eastern Time as the standard and I am 3 hours behind them.

So, is this game unlocking for me TONIGHT?

After hearing about the performance, can anyone who has the Xbox one version and has sunk a bit of time into it please tell me how their experience has been? I don't know whether to cancel my pre-order tonight

I've been pleasantly surprised with the performance. I have seen the DF stuff and haven't noticed that in my nearly 40 hours put into the game.

sorry if it's been asked a thousand times, but has anybody had any issues using a VPN? i'm kinda paranoid, though i know there's not much reason to be...

Honestly, bump back to normal for an hour or two and just get setup. Survival and very hard are extremely brutal at the early hours of the game.

Talk to him and there will be an option that says dismiss.

is he gone forever? if you do that?

There's not much you can do using Twitch or YouTube to prevent at least 15 seconds of lag. If you are playing on PS4 and they have a PS4 also, you could have them spectate you using SharePlay which has no lag but it's limited to one connection at a time.

On PC, but I assume the story is the same on PC. At least based on what I know, which isn't much. :D

We'll try nvidia's shadowplay. And I'll try screen shares. But not holding my breath. Might just have to live the lag life...

Thanks though!

I'm almost 6 hours in and I haven't ventured beyond Lexington. I built defenses and water for Sanctuary Hills and demolished the destroyed buildings and useless crap. It is definitely a very intuitive system and is easy to learn. I was worried it would be clunky.

No, he'll be in a doghouse nearby, or over in Sanctuary.

I hope someone adds a mod that gets brought to Xbox One that allows you to find your companions easier. I struggle to remember where I sent people sometimes.

How to destroy buildings? Unless you mean scrap everything inside?

That's a nice post OP so nice work!

Any idea how long the install from the disc/day one patch stuff will take on the xbone? I really don't wanna deal with another midnight release of waiting till 3AM to play tonight.

This is my first FO, playing on normal and the enemies seem to be bullet sponges, maybe I'm doing something wrong, I'm doing like a very early sidequest and these damn gouls just eat too many bullets and melee does not do much :/

Eight gigs down, twenty-four to go. Five months down, eight hours to go.

Got the PS4 putting in download work. Read half the reviews; can't wait for midnight! Gonna go watch some Stargate SG-1 and enjoy a nice WaWa sub with my friends to pass the time. See y'all in Baaahston.

So for the people that already have the game, hows the radio? I love the licensed music in FO3/NV and I can't wait to mode it into fallout 4.

I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere, but is there a top site/tip sheet for best builds from those that have started playing? I've checked out some of the generic sites but looking for some realtime updates for those that have recently entered the wasteland.

Been playing for 5 hours so far and I'm not to impressed. I'm not "feeling" the new leveling system and I have to little VATS to actually kill someone, and I have the first tier of VATS-regen. I just run around playing it like a FPS and collecting material after material to satisfy my settlement. I hope it gets better better further down the road.

Alright, so I've played about 2.5 hours and I'm loving it. The only thing I'm concerned about is the map size. Something about it feels small, but it's so densely packed that it'll probably end up feeling larger than it is.

I find the atmospheric music to be better for the mood but the radio is as good as ever

I think the score they have when you're not listening to the radio is incredible. I prefer us as well since it actually shuts the hell up when in a conversation.

The spacing of everything feels right, like you're actually in a metro area with suburban surroundings.
