I've never played a Fallout game before. Am I in for something special?
I know it's still ridiculously early, but what are some immediate differences between 3 and 4 that some of you have noticed (for better or worse)?
It's optional, so don't worry.
Not sure what is going on there with VSync, doesn't sound good (did you try using driver VSync instead of in-game?), but the unlocked FPS thing sounds a lot like iFPSClamp not being 0 in older Gamebryo stuff. People used to mess with that setting but it wasn't all that safe for that very reason.
How many hours in are ye?Just hit level 26 on normal. Finally starting to become a bit OP. I still haven't explored the majority of the southern portion of the map.

How do I wait on Ps4?
Stumbled upon this place. It's like a level from GoldenEye 007.
Thank you, but the link in the linked post goes to a dead page. I'll scour the bethesda forums to see if i can find it.
The atmosphere. Just wow.

Wait, really?Really, REALLY crappy dialogue options even in comparison to 3. Gun shoots better. Can't randomly pick stuff(like bodies and other objects) and move them around. The character creator is MILES better. Leveling up is simplified to one choice between a perk or a stat. Oh, and we finally have rain.
That's my thoughts so far, early yet.

So youre telling me I cant pick up a severed head and place it in a bowl on someones desk? They got rid of it(R3 to pick stuff up) in favor of a gun bash(R1) and moving around the controls(Sneak is now R3, Sprint L3). You can still put stuff into your inventory like usual though, and they're still physics objects. You just can't directly manipulate them.
You can drag stuff, have to click and hold to drag

No to which question?!
Been using a controller, maybe that'd translate to holding A?

I played Fallout New Vegas for a little over 5 hours and it was too broken to play for me, but I lost my life to Skyrim. In terms of difficulty, what should I play at? I hear it's much harder than usual BethRPGs, I am looking for a challenge. What level should I play at?
Yeah, they changed this in Skyrim. You press and hold the interact / loot button on controller.
You actually can pick up bodies and rag doll move them around. I discovered it accidentally. You hold the loot button and are able to pick it up.
Hasn't that always been the case? Though I vaguely remember it not being worth the effort in past Bethesda games.

Small side quest - I have to build mama Murphy a chair. Does she want a specific one? I built several chairs but the quest won't complete
Never mind. I'm blind.
are you guys gonna play on hard? I'm definitely not playing on normal, hopefully this time the enemies aren't massive bullet sponges in hard like in Fallout 3.
That first boss fightwas so stupid, had to drop the difficulty to normal since you're only level 2, no advance skills, and he's such a bullet sponge on the harder difficulties, it was not fun dying about 20 times.

I'm so early on that I can't comment on much, but the combat is definitely better. And the overall presentation. Better voice acting, better music, some awesome weather effects, etc.I know it's still ridiculously early, but what are some immediate differences between 3 and 4 that some of you have noticed (for better or worse)?
Damn i'm not much of a nap taker but I'm thinking about going to sleep until midnight once I get home from classes.
I still cant believe I just played Fallout 4
Hard isnt that hard. You can go for it!
