Are you getting CTD after the video plays for a second or two too?
 
It's pretty funny how everyone forgets about the unpacking wait every time they pre-order a game from Steam. I forget too, every time. It's kinda comical.

It won't take days. The timer has never been reliable. Take a bath, go for a walk around the block, watch some TV. Just distract your mind for a bit and it'll be done.
 
Some random dude on Twitter sent me an image with the main storyline spoiler on it, lol. I honestly couldn't care less, but I reported him anyway for harassment. Maybe he'll get his account shut down.
 
I don't like the radio host, he's such a fucking lame. :| some pls tell me three dog has a radio station later on or something cause this dude is dreadful.

Glad this is normal then, my brother gave me his gaming PC, don't know much about anything. Gonna play some Halo 5 then.

Yeah, timer is ridiculous. Just keeps changing based on disk usage I guess, and I have all my steam installs default to an HDD and just move the ones I play over to my SSD, so it's taking for ever.
 
The awkward moment where one of the presets face is 100% what you had in mind. Like EXACTLY what you had in mind. But you have OCD so you can't use a preset face.

Go to your steam library, right click fallout 4, go to properties, local files tab, verify integrity of local cache. That comes up negative, you gotta reinstall.

Same here other then than I see a flash of the please stand by video for less than two seconds. I even hear the sound in that period of time and then CTD with no errors or messages.
 
Huge bug from the get go. "You must name your character before proceeding". I can't. Bleh. Fuck, for once Bethesda at least make your games playable. Fuck.

Mine crashes when I select new game, the icon in the bottom right moves but that's it. It's the first time in 5 years that I've had a PC game fail to work, bravo.
 
Day one patch finally downloads with the slow speed of 100kb and DISC WRITE ERROR. Follow the steps and lost the entire download. It's supposively a Windows 10 issue so Microsoft can go suck it I'm pissed.
 
Fallout 4 can now be used.

Click game and it proceeds to tell me it's installing....

So I have to wait for the entire game to download to start.

This is what I get for going digital at the last minute. I'm sick to my stomach right now

Only 2 hours left 😑
 
I didn't think I would really be into settlements at all, but when I realized you can insta-scrap basically fucking anything you see, and thus start cleaning up all over the place and remaking as you see fit, I definitely got the appeal. Having fun just getting Sanctuary set up to be a little cozier, whereas I've started building my actual living quarters
on the roof of the Red Rocket station

I can already feel the pull away from the main storyline though. My character just doesn't so much care about his
kidnapped son.
Maybe he'll turn up, maybe not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's neon lights to be hung over there.
 
Damn. I can't progress in the game because of a bug asking me to name my char. Holy shit. Gonna refund and will buy again when it's on sale I guess.
 
I'm in. My pre-load took 35 minutes if anyone is wondering how long it may take on a regular hard drive. It spiked between 10 minutes up to 2 days for the first half of it.
