This game is way too much a shooter. It just feels so generic now. I liked how in 3 and NV the shooting was so clunky and made VATS actually important.

I have no idea what shitty shooters you used to play. Yeah, gunplay is improved a little, that's it. Now it's just clunky with no novelty.

I don't doubt some feel this way. I just think it's funny to be upset they made the shooting in a shooter better and not having to rely on a dice roll and autoaim? It's still there to use.

It feels like the combat is the center of the new game, where before combat was ancillary. That, along with the crappy leveling system makes this game feel a lot less like an RPG than even Fallout 3, not to mention New Vegas.

VATS is still pretty fucking powerful. Like, using a shotgun, I can empty it in realtime, and then without reloading, go into VATS and it'll let me squeeze off two more shots.

Well, I'll never order pre-order a game for home delivery from Bestbuy.com again.

Received an email yesterday stating my item was shipped, but after I entered the tracking info into ups I saw that no info was available. Weird. Get home tonight expecting the package to be here because maybe that message about it taking 24 hours for info to get entered into ups.com was accurate, but nope, no package. Out of curiousity, I check the order receipt page on BestBuy and the transaction was initially 74.02 after my GCU discount (got the socks edition), but it's now listed at 47.00 total, almost 30 bucks cheaper. WTF. Checked my bank account and the initial transaction of 74.02 was reversed by the merchant (meaning cancelled) and there's nothing that indicates I was charged the new 47 dollar total. WTF! Called up and after navigating the 86' Bears like defense that is the automated system, I finally get a human who tells me she has no idea what happened, but she can't cancel it because it's listed as "shipped" even though it has yet to be picked up by the carrier. Better yet, she says it's not expected for delivery until the 17th because it's now on back order. It wasn't on back order when I ordered, but it is now. Great!

So now I'm on hold while she tries to find some way to "accommodate" me for this inconvenience. lol. I have the worst luck with this shit. I should've just went into the store and picked up it.

The way it works for digital content, any games purchased from your account will work for everyone on the console that you set to be your primary console.. However to use the content on another ps4 will require you to be logged in with the account that purchased the content.

So you would need to make your wife's PS4 the primary account for your account and then login to your PS4 with your account but not make it your primary.

I couldn't use mouse or keyboard at first either. I had to use my 360 controller to move around and than turn off controller in settings before I could use keyboard and mouse.

Dialogue choices are severely lacking compared to NV and even FO3. Roleplay = gone.

But hey, you can paint your Power Armor red. That'll distract people from what's missing.

I don't like using the same points to level up Special and my perks. I wish the dialogue system hadn't been changed either.

Yeah, I feel like easy mode is no shame in this game. Got kind of blindsided since Skyrim was overall a cakewalk.

Crit system is ok, I can take or leave it, just the slow motion rather than stopping time. I don't feel it's the best way for VATS to work.

If you hold in the touch pad, and then rotate the left analog stick, it will move the camera around so you can see yourself, and even pan the camera farther out from the default 3rd person view.

Fallout 3 was unplayable as a shooter. In this game, VATS is completely optional. Vastly improved.

Welp, you've both basically managed to -

So I was creeping up to this place. And there were a ton of ghouls. So I sniped them from a bridge. Except there were more who came running up the hill. Then I shot them and my dog killed one. I went to loot and more ghouls showed up. I shot them too, but the last one was legendary and did not like being shot. So I ran back to the bridge to snipe him from there. Then a bunch of super mutants showed up and killed him for me. But one of them exploded and killed the rest. Then another super mutant and a stray ghoul arrived to check on the explosion. The mutant killed the ghoul, and I shot the mutant. Then he mutated and got real angry, so I shot him again. Then he shot me lots and I was about to die.

Then a giant mosquito killed him.

I win.

Yep. If it continues like this for most of the game, I think I will make a thread about it. As you say it isn't as good as FNV, but it also falls short if F3!

Oh, I see. Haven't decided myself whether I like that more or not. I tend to like pressure mechanics, but the time dilation is pretty severe so it hasn't felt too impactful for the most part.

Make a build that gets you the most useful starting perks and expand as you play. No need to over level a special if the unlock won't be useful for a long time

If anyone hasn't figured it out by now, going to a workshop bench, and there's a button to transfer all junk to the table. Instantly got 150 weight back without having to micromanage that shit. At least there's one good quality of life improvement.
