What goes through peoples heads when they go into an OT the day of release and post end game spoilers.. Regardless of whether or not its behind spoiler tags. There's a reason a spoiler thread exists. Spoiler tagged stuff in the OT should be minor stuff that some folks may not want to know about like a small quest tidbit or the name of a character or something. I haven't clicked on any but I feel sorry for those who have after waiting years for the game. Use some common sense people.
If you're gonna have a spoiler with regards to the very ending of a game that released not even 12 hours ago for most people here. It's pretty normal to mark so very clearly, so that people don't read the spoiler without knowing that it's the biggest spoiler of the entire game
How many points should i put in strength if I have no interest in melee? Booting up in a few!!
Been wondering, I've looked at previews and gameplay vids and is it true that dialogue skill checks (where you use a Science perk to open dialogue with scientists, for example) are gone? Is it just CHA checks now?

The power suit - as cool as this is, are we meant to keep wearing/upgrading these as our primary armour, or is there more 'normal' looking armour (non suit stuff) that's just as good but more practical too? I haven't played FO3/NV so I don't have any experience in this.
Ok, i'm leaving this thread. Getting paranoid about being spoiled.
Does anyone know if you get PS button prompts if you use a DualShock 4 on PC?
You didn't force me to do anything. Others have already clarified why you were in the wrong, no need for me to continue.
Just learn from it and enjoy the game.
In New Vegas, yes, there is not any huge reference to your character's past. They don't mention your character's family, any loved ones, anything that really happened to you. I am, as a roleplayer, free to imagine that my character was and did anything that I wanted. Literally the only thing i'm tied to, is the fact that at some point, they became a courier, which is pretty much the perfect job for roleplaying, because there is a near endless amount of reason why someone might become a courier.
In Fallout 4, the game says THIS was your life, THIS is your spouse, and THIS is your son. Be sad about this, because this is what your character is and what your character cares about. On top of that, THIS is your character's voice, and just try and guess what you think your character might say from a couple of words and we will tell you EXACTLY what your character actually said.
I'm not telling the game to reference any immersive backstory I want. I would just like it to do what New Vegas did, and not reference it at all, so that it can literally be whatever I want it to be, and I can be immersed in that role. Like a previous poster said, I can't roleplay as someone who was always in the wasteland, who is gay/lesbian, and has never been in an monogamous relationship and has no children, because the game is telling me that that isn't who my character is.

What the fuck, he wasn't in the wrong lmao. He should have marked the spoiler, absolutely, but YOU clicked it. Take some fucking responsibility.
Thanks for spoiling the game for me man. Appreciated.
Mine's being delivered today. But jfyi Amazon has the collector's guide for $24. Almost half off compared to other places.

Can you holster a weapon?
Yep, hold reload.
freaking amazon screwed up my delivery of the guide. Initially said I'd get it release day, haven't even shipped yet :/
I can't get the Pip Boy phone app to connect to my PC. Any tips or a guide anywhere? There don't seem to be any instructions in game or on the app for some strange reason
Cool. Thanks for the feedback.
Anyone got any strong opinions on the gun combat?
Yeah, that's fair. New Vegas did it great. I prefer the character creation of FO3 immensely on paper, but New Vegas was so well executed.

Just waiting for the ups guy :/
So I was creeping up to this place. And there were a ton of ghouls. So I sniped them from a bridge. Except there were more who came running up the hill. Then I shot them and my dog killed one. I went to loot and more ghouls showed up. I shot them too, but the last one was legendary and did not like being shot. So I ran back to the bridge to snipe him from there. Then a bunch of super mutants showed up and killed him for me. But one of them exploded and killed the rest. Then another super mutant and a stray ghoul arrived to check on the explosion. The mutant killed the ghoul, and I shot the mutant. Then he mutated and got real angry, so I shot him again. Then he shot me lots and I was about to die.
Then a giant mosquito killed him.
I win.
Woah, that's awesome. Where did you buy your game?
Ah thank you very much! Speaking as someone who was actually updating the Wiki for New Vegas during the release window I got to say that Im surprised to see that they have picked up the slack on updating the Wiki with info asap for Fallout 4.
