I don't really find much fun in stuff like griffball etc but still want a space to go play classic 4v4 halo solo to unwind when tired. Going into ranked and putting on my A game is just not enticing sometimes.

I think social can still have classic halo death match and not just be wacky stuff that may not appeal to everyone

Got any proof you're constantly matched against parties? There's literally no way to tell unless you match the same team multiple times. I solo all the time at Onyx and people are constantly shuffled between teams. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I don't think it's anything close to what you think it is.

We're both providing anecdotal evidence derived from personal experiences.

Isn't it known that solo players can match party's? I thought that came up a few days ago?

I wouldn't want to fall back on gut feeling but it could go either way, it may not be happening much but it may be happening loads - who knows

In an ideal world it shouldn't happen at all
 
Is there any other penalties for quitters other than a ban?

I think it should count as a loss as well if that is not already a part of it, I don't really play Arena.

I hate party chats. I always try and communicate only to realize my team can't even hear me cause of party chat. Also, when are people going to stop trying to capture all 3 points in Strongholds. There's no need. Much better chance at winning just holding and defending 2. Preferably not the middle one.

Eh there's a difference between even matchmaking and ranked

In fact it goes the other way - ranked sucks so much as a solo player because most of the time it's not even

Ancedotal for sure - but I have a hard timing trusting ranked will give me even teams in BTB

This is an issue in every game with the game type. I call it the CoD Effect. More interested in kills than capturing and holding
 
True, maybe with a few extra ledges/jumps/man cannons, it could capture the feel. I know reach gets a lot of hate but I have fond memories of those maps

I play casually and Halo 5 is great for me. I jump in arena at Platinum 2 and its good stuff. I play solo.

Yeah I'm hopeful we're getting a few arena DLC alongside BTB or soon after. Another warzone map would be great too, but there's so much more metagaming in those that the shallow map pool honestly doesn't bother me that much (I haven't gotten tired of playing the same map in DotA for the better part of a decade at this point.)

Warzone losses aren't real losses. Get your kills, get your REQs, damn whatever the game says is the "official" result.

That's the thing! I played Horribly!

And having too many losses in a row, Warzone or not, hurts my motivation.

So I set a limit: 3 Losses in a row and I stop...

...just a shame my 1 win today was followed by 3 losses.

Me and a few buddies had a weird experience playing Strongholds on Plaza last night. Early game we tried to focus on bottom mid and the nest zones. For some reason we were getting crushed early while we were focusing on those two points. Momentum started to shift when we had two guys rotating from the nest to bottom mid and back while the other two assaulted the sniper spawn zone (can't remember the name). The pressure from those two combined with the defense at the other points turned a bad looking start into a dominant victory.
 
Wow, Halo is 6th most played on XBO right now, behind Destiny even.... Yikes.

For what it's worth it was 3rd yesterday during the evening. (US)

So the API won't give playlist populations?

I would be all over this except maybe it sometimes allowing for more than 4v4 (or maybe 2 separate playlists? 4v4 for the competitive and 8v8 for the social version?). This is actually what I was expecting the current Team Arena playlist to be.
 
The servers seem to be gaving problems right now.

The game should be back at 3rd tonight, morning and early afternoon is not a high trafic gor Halo, also, servers seems to have problrems.
