I had a radscorpion pop up in a field (first one I'd seen) and chop me and dogmeat into pieces like 20 times. Eventually I just gave up and ran for it. Blasted thing seriously followed me all the way back to Sanctuary where it ran into Codsworth and Preston and we all ganged up on it. Then I had grilled radscorpion for lunch. Awesome

The only radscorpion I found so far was fighting a super mutant. I made sure they both died about the same time, and then the scorpion fell through the ground and I didn't get to loot his sweet meat.

Having to looking everywhere for Dogmeat after dismissing him every single time is really pissing me off, i sent him to sanctuary and he's not in any of the kennels. I thought getting rid of some would narrow it and save me trawling over the whole town looking for the cunt.

Nope, now he's just disappeared, and i'm still running in circles looking for the cunt. Great.

PSA: When you're placing settlement objects you can bring them closer or farther away using mousewheel.

Pretty ridiculous oversight

Would be nice if they just made it so companions appear on the map when they're more than 200 metres away or something

Anyone know how I can craft this Picnic Table? I can't find it any where to build in workshop mode and I've also scrapped one. I actually don't know how you *discover* new things to build, I suppose scrapping the first one unlocks the *blueprint*? I don't know, I scrapped another but still can't build one. I really want to build one.

OMG. Warm December by Julie London just came on in this shop, this girl needs to pick a purse and hurry so we can go home and I can play Fallout 4.

I thought you get new items by collecting the furniture magazines. Picket Fences i think is called.

He seems useless anyhow. He runs into battle and then gets injured. There are no quick commands that I can tell, you have to target him to give commands right? He basically uses up stimpacks.

Ok, this may be a stupid question. What is the benefit of building your settlement? Do they generate resources for you or something?

Anybody else's power armor randomly end up on a highway you can take a small elevator up to near the Brotherhood of Steel safehouse? It wasn't another power armor since I only see t on my map.

EDIT: And I have no idea how you rotate stuff when in the workshop.

Don't stimpack him. He auto heals.

If you're worried about loosing him, send him to Rocket. He's always outside it.

You can use him to get the gun that is locked in the vault early in the game. Supposed to be one of the best guns in the game too. Dogmeat is "Master lock doge!"

Man I normally get 50-60fps in most all areas but I went back to do the Corvega quest and I was getting major drops everywhere i went. Jumping from 30-60 every second or so made it so fucking stuttery and almost impossible.

I noticed you can go pretty far south of the map border until it says "You cannot go that way" at the glowing sea. Is it the same everywhere else?

Bahhh might restart. I am not sure why I specced 7 STR to start. I have no intention of using melee weapons at all!

I MIGHT want to use heavy weapons but I am more interested in snipers and other precision weapons. Shotgun is fun too.

Is there a list of some of the big guns in the game?

If you're talking about the
Corvega assembly plant then you want to gather up as many frag grenades and molotov cocktails as is reasonable and apply them liberally to your enemies. And there are a lot of enemies there, inside and out, and a number of turrets. Work on your throwing arm! There is also a somewhat hidden path to get inside the plant through the large pipes. This may help you avoid some enemies. Also the enemies can shoot through the grate catwalks that are everywhere.

I had to approach this are pretty carefully as well because I was getting blasted up fast. I approached the main entrance in (Hidden) stance and ran behind a little shelter right across the downstairs entrance across from the turret. I slowly peaked out and picked off the turret and wanders up above, one at a time. For whatever reason, doing this didn't cause 'Danger' to show up and alert everyone else. I cleared out this initial group of 5 or 6 guys and then proceeded inside. Was definitely hard at first but fun to eventually get through it.

Guys, guys. You're making things harder for yourself than they need to be. Just bring some Power Armor and FUCK THEM UP. That video I just linked is on the hardest difficulty.

I did that but the armor wasn't racked properly, it was standing on the ground like if I took it off in the middle of a road. When I come back later will it be racked properly?

That's all there is to it. When you approach the rack, outside of the power armour, it should give you the option to craft. If it does, then it's "racked." If you don't have the option to craft, you probably need to move the armour closer to the rack. I don't think it's possible to hang it. It just sort of stands there.

You can just go back right away and get the gun behind the glass case? Thought it required picklocking.

Yeah how does this work exactly? I saw a tutorial online where they had all these steps to go through to get it, but nobody ever said anything about involving the dog.

This dog is freaking annoying.

Always get injured and he constantly blocks my way. It wouldn't bother me normally, but he just me on a staircase when I was trying to move out of the line of fire and a molotov cocktail that was thrown at me :|

Right off the bat? Wow, better head back to Vault 111 after work.

Go back. Stand in front of the case. Ask the dog to fetch item. He'll go, open the container, and get the gun for you.

After playing for 5 hours, I'm going to start over again.

I've spent too many points on CHR and now I also have a better impression what Fallout is about (first game in the series for me).

I was so excited to play with the dog companion, but after 5 minutes he annoyed the fuck out of me with his barking, peeping and all those constant annoying sounds in my headset. Had to swap him for another companion. :<

Here's a tip for the Workshop and a mini rant about its horrendous UI:

When walking around in Workshop mode, note how if you face certain items (and are close enough to them), they'll either highlight in yellow or green. Yellow items can only be broken down into parts, but green items can either be broken down or sent directly to the Workshop.

The game does a terrible job of conveying to you how exactly the storage system works for items that you send to the Workshop.

First of all, when browsing through items in Workshop mode, those in storage will have a number below their portrait representing how many are available.

Here's an example in which I've stored one basic chair (note the "1" below its portrait):

Although you can clearly see in the screenshot that this chair will supposedly cost me 4 Wood and 1 Plastic to place, items in storage actually don't cost anything! After placing this chair, I'll still have 16 Wood and 8 Plastic to work with. If I were to place another one immediately afterwards, however, it would cost me 4 Wood/1 Plastic since I'd have none left in storage.

Wouldn't it be nice if the game actually presented this information in a clearer manner, like greying out the resource requirements for items in storage or even replacing the number of required resources with 0s? The Workshop as a whole just feels like such a rush job to me.
